Dirty sheets. The room needed a lot of maintenance. It was extremely disgusting. Do not stay here.

Stayed 9 nights

We did not stay at Days Inn, Tuscaloosa, because when we got there at 1:30 am, the hotel was CLOSED. No arrangements had been made for us to stay somewhere else. We were sent to a Microtel across town that no longer exists. The night watchman or whoever he was tried to contact another hotel but could get no answer. We finally found another hotel on our own, that was not worth the money we paid, for the rest of that night. The next day Days Inn arranged for us to stay at Microtel, Cottondale, "for one or two nights." Every morning I had to ask if we were to move to Days Inn--and by that time I did NOT want to move there. Microtel was more inconvenient for our stay in Tuscaloosa but after the way Days Inn treated us, the inconvenience didn't matter. We ended up staying at the Microtel, where they treated us very well, our whole stay (Feb. 2-10). We did get reimbursed by Days Inn for that first wretched night but the disregard for us from the beginning is past comprehension. I felt like they were saying, "We have your money and we don't care anything more about you. I will definitely think twice--or more times--before staying in a Days Inn. We also had trouble with the car we rented through Expedia, so I will think very hard before I make reservations through Expedia again.
