One elevator wasnt working. The other elevator was beyond extremely slow. I think we all wasted at least an hour of our time each (so 4 hours of mantime hours)there waiting for the elevator. We were on the 6th floor. So going back up the steps several times was not an option. it was quite a stressful downer. Had I been a couple of floors down, it would not have been so bad. Otherwise, it was an ok stay. Lots and lots of kids there, everywhere But thats ok

Expedia did not update their profile for this hotel, and the pool area and hot tub is closed for an extended period of time. It has already been closed for a month before our booking. I specifically picked this location because I wanted a hotel with a pool. I'm not going to use Expedia anymore it's just not worth it because the information on their app is not up to date.

The rooms are dated and carpets need a change. Our room’s carpet had stains of orange and red. The bathroom is standard. You can tell its probably at least 10-15 years old. The ownership should spend some money to renovate the rooms to maintain the quality of Hampton Inn. Pool area had a slide and two hot tubs. Hot tubs were clean, but the pool water was murky. We didn’t swim in it knowing the murkiness is probably a sign of a mechanical issue. The staff were trying to fix it as we were in the hot tub and asked us not to use it. The staff was cordial and helpful. Full complimentary breakfast is the best part of the stay. Beds are a bit soft. Area around the hotel is great with shopping, food, Cineplex, and arcade. Great area for families to stay. Overall for the price vs value, I didn’t think it was a great deal.

I stayed with 3 teenagers from friday to sunday, we all enjoyed the pool , although it does need the liner cleaned for sure, the slide has pitting and needs work and the spa tub and one elevator were not operatioal. The rooms were tidy, and comfortable, the hotel is close to alot of food and alot of shopping choices which was great. I enjoyed all the walking trails too that are close. Overall was a great stay

This hotel quickly became my new favorite hotel in HRM after having kids. No complaints about the room, comfortable beds. But as a mom we book our hotels based on pools and convenience. The pool was large, with a second warmer kiddy pool in the back, separated slide that eliminates a lot of worry for moms of small kids for not swimming infront of the slide or ending the slide in a pool of deep water. The slide is also open which is nice for smaller kids. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast, I’ve had worse. Location is also fantastic, everything you need is walking distance for those who aren’t city drivers. After my kids were asleep i was able to head out for a bit of shopping (dad stayed with kids). I didn’t feel tied down! I got my morning Starbucks within 2 minutes of the online order. Delicious restaurant outside your door. Playground just outside the hotel, playdium. Great weekend was had!

The music was very loud in the lobby, making it hard to understand the person that was trying to provide check in service. The beds in our room were absolutely horrible!!! They were very hard and the pillows were very, very soft. My husband had to use three pillows to try to sleep. The hotel only had one elevator in use, as the other elevator was broken. It made it very inconvenient as there was some sport teams in the hotel, which meant the wait times for the elevators were long. The doors on the elevator would close very quickly, not always allowing everyone that was waiting to get on the elevator. The room was very clean.

The property advertised a hot tub but in fact the water jets in the hot tub were not working and haven’t worked for some time. I chose the hotel because I enjoy hot tubs so I was very disappointed.

Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. There needs to be staff training on cleanliness. Coffee and tea urns need to be replaced and creamer carafes need to be cleaned more regularly. Furniture in our room needed to be wiped down, as well as baseboards, doors and sink. The sink needed to be cleaned around the drain and tap area.

The property was nice and the breakfast area was very very well laid out and gave everyone lots of space not to be on top of each other. Our only complaint was that the bed frame or boxspring of the bed was broke or loose. It was the noisest thing lol. You couldn't even roll over without it making a bunch of noise and waking the other person up. I'm sure it is a simple fix for room 401

Hampton Inns are always a good Choice, but this one had the worst beds my wife and I have ever had in a Hampton Inn. We had a poor sleep which is rare for both of us. The rest of our experience was fantastic

The first night we were there we were put beside a room that had some sort of team function going on. We were tired from traveling and there was loud people yelling into the later evening. We asked about this and was told the hockey team checked out and it wouldn’t continue. The next day it kept going. We asked for a new room, and got one with beds that squeaked so loudly with every little movement that I had to wear ear plugs to be able to sleep. The water slide was so slow you would get stuck on it. The breakfast was decent, but you can’t even cut the waffle with the cheap fork and knife as they just bend every time you try to use them. I had to eat my waffle with my hands. Was not great compared to stays at other locations.

Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good and location of the hotel to Lower Sackville where we were visiting our sister who has Alzheimer’s was great for us to taxi there to see her. We have stayed here before ( may have been booked under Sharon Sinnott my sister) and we will be back again.

Called ahead to make sure I would not have to change room after I booked an extra night through Expedia. No problem. Confirmed again at check in. Again, no worries at all. Ready to start a very important call with 50 people mid afternoon, called by an extremely rude woman telling me to vacate my room and wait u til another one is ready. Emphasis on the rudeness and lack of empathy. Asked to speak to the manager, who was very nice and make an effort multiple times to apologize. Still had to vacate and change tomes to basically the same room on another floor. I understand, a mistake as made and I’m not looking to blame. Again, very lovely man was very apologetic but the woman who initially phoned was just so rude, that I would not stay there again. She caused me a great deal of stress and appealed to care less. Some definite coaching is needed or perhaps a job at a collections agency would probably be a better fit.

Upon check-out, my father asked for a printed folio/receipt and was told this would be emailed instead, and did not offer to accommodate my father's preference for a printed copy. This is very poor customer service. The very least he could have done would have been to explain the email and then ask if that was acceptable or if my father would prefer a printed copy.

I was in meetings so my wife checked in for us and was treated rudely by the front desk clerk. We have stayed there numerous times before and were treated very well. We’ll be much less apt to return.

Our check in was smooth and very professionally done by Aman. She was courteous and very helpful when we told her we wanted an extra chair as we were travelling with friends, we also asked for a couple of wine glasses and high ball glasses. All were delivered in a timely manner. She gave us and our friends rooms close together. She gave us some recommendations to restaurants. Very impressed with Aman. The buffet breakfast was good. Would def book with Hampton Inn & Suites again on our next trip.

There were people partying on our floor and making lots of noise. By 1AM we had made our 5th call to the front desk. At this point they tols us that they had fined the people 200 and could not do much more. My disabled son{in a wheelchair with 2 prosthetic legs) opened the door and asked the people to have some respect and quiet down. They attacked my son and tried to force their way into our room. After assaulting my son, we got them out of the room and called the police. When the police arrived, the officers took the people out of the hotel. Why didn’d the front desk call the police when they could not get the people under controll??? I never felt so unsafe in my life as I did that night. I will never go back there again.

We were traveling with a pet, and booked here to be in striking distance of downtown Halifax with a short drive. Staff were cheerful and efficient, rooms were clean and up-to-date. We did not use the pool, but many families staying here were enjoying it immensely. We liked having safe places to walk a dog, including a small pocket park diagonal to the hotel, and a nice variety of walkable restaurants (less than 100 meters away!) in the adjacent shopping center. Would definitely stay here again as a base for a Halifax visit.

Buffet breakfast was a dusaster. Maybe timing as it was busy but, we had to track down ckeaning cloth for our table and seats.Hygienge was non existant what a mess .spilled cereal all over. Complete chaos and i had my blind mom with me. Chaotic and wait times and unsuoervised kids presding eke ator buttons just fir fun while we were waiting to get into one. Long wait just to cook toast. Waited for food to be replenished.

So many options for breakfast. Cereal, yogurt, eggs, bacon, build your own waffles, muffins biscuits, oatmeal. With all the condiments....cranberries, almonds, walnuts, chocolate chips, whipped cream, and so much more...variety of teas, coffee, juices... could not ask for more.

Everything was quite nice except for the breakfast. Paper plates and plastic cutlery both doesn't match the rest of the quality of the hotel. The eggs are frozen baked patties. There was also no ceramic mugs for coffee. I understand the drive to cut down costs, but racing to make it as cheap as possible by removing the need to wash dishes is just offputting.

Check in was an easy breeze. The pool needs fans/air conditioning. It was unbearable with the heat and the lack of air movement. You couldn’t breathe. It also wasn’t the cleanest and we went in directly after the 3:00 cleaning/maintenance time. Breakfast was disappointing. Two lady staff stood talking the whole time while one younger male staff tried to run and restock everything himself. Almost everything was empty when you went to get it and you had to wait in a line for it to be replenished. The selection was great! Just needed to wait for the eggs, bacon, waffle batter, etc. because they were all empty and due to the long lines waiting for them, they were empty again by the end of the line. It was also so very, very hot! Even in the “eating lounge” they have set up, it was just so very hot that it was difficult to enjoy the meal. The room was very nice. Big bed and clean washroom. We didn’t wait long at any point for an elevator.

The room was clean, staff was friendly and there were many shops near by The parking spots were extremely narrow and we had a compact car. The breakfast area was poorly managed. It seemed understaffed. We had to deal with young girls who were not chaperoned and were running so and down the hallways yelling and banging on doors from evening to late night. The hotel did eventually get it handled.
