Great place for one night in Zurich. Very modern and colorful. There’s a kiosk for check-in and checkout.

Nice hotel. No reception so not as easy to ask for guidance in the city.

It was nice having a bar in the lobby as well as a comfortable lounge area.

This hotel was very unique in that the rooms are quite small but they make up for it with the immense public spaces for socializing, work, etc. Large lounge with bar and breakfast in the morning (other meals served as well but we only had breakfast there). Everything in the room is controlled by an IPad making it very easy to control shades, temperature, lights, etc.

My room was like walking in to a Swatch watch. There were some fun extras like being able to change the colour of the light in the shower. It was a comfortable room and I was able to get work done on the desk and using the Wifi. The lobby bar was fun to hang out in and the selection of food was reasonably priced and really good even for a vegetarian.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights after arriving in Zurich on an overnight flight. The hotel’s central location makes it easily accessible by public transportation. The decor has a fun, trendy vibe, and we especially appreciated the 24/7 bar and restaurant— a lifesaver when we struggled to find a late-night meal after 10 p.m. The staff was outstanding. Every team member we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and answer our questions. Breakfast was also fantastic. The reason for our four-star rating is the room size. The space was extremely small, with barely enough room for our two large suitcases and a carry-on. While the king-sized bed was comfortable, it was pushed against the wall, making it difficult for my husband to get in and out. We inquired about a larger room but were informed that only the accessible rooms offered more space, and the hotel was fully booked. This hotel is ideal for solo business travelers who don’t mind compact rooms. Despite the space constraints, the location, amenities, and service make it worth considering.

Highly recommend. Loved that it is all automated, you can do your own self check in and check out, and in the room you have an ipad that control everything: temperature, lights, curtains, TV, etc. Staff was super friendly if help is needed. Hotel seems new and very clean. Would definitely stay again a next time.

The shower was very tight space turning on water and maneuvering was unpleasant and I’m a small person. There was blood stain on my sheets. The bed was hard as a rock. The 3 day cleaning for charity was lovely, but when asked for cleaning the response was to bring towels which made me gather that cleaning wasn’t a welcomed request. Staff was lovely with exception of one person who was a little too laid back with their lack of assistance. Cocktail menu was a little off with flavor combos, e.g., margarita with added artificial coconut flavor. Breakfast was great! Unfortunately I didn’t sleep well there. Got only 4-4.5 hrs sleep/night while at next hotel slept fine. It may be that with a highly digital and wireless small space, with in-room, wireless iPad next to bed, there is too much EMF and blue light exposure.

Amazing hotel, very clean and cozy, good amenities, very close to major attractions. We didn't use any modes of transportation other than our feet (!).

Room was spotless and run by an ipad which was quirky. Bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was excellent. Would recommend as a base in Zurich.

There was a problem with noice coming from the night club next door. Many guests thought the "music" was a disturbance. We were allowed a complimentary breakfast as a result of our complaint.

There are lots of positive reviews about this hotel but I was very disappointed. Signage isn't obvious for where the check-in desk is. Turns out it's in another room and it's a kiosk with a few iPads. There was nobody there so I had to ask somebody working at the bar. It was cumbersome working through the screens. I wasn't the only one having a problem. If multiple people need help checking in that tells you it's not very intuitive. Give me a person behind a check-in desk every time. The room has one king bed up against the wall meaning only one side can be used to enter/exit the bed. The person sleeping against the wall has to crawl over the other person to enter/exit. Not everybody staying here is a couple. It's a bizarre configuration. Light controls are not intuitive. There doesn't seem to be a way to turn on individual lights. Coming into a dark room the main switch only lights up a faint area under the bed; you have to fumble your way to the nightstand and find the iPad. There is no light switch by the bathroom, you have to engage the iPad. The iPad TV guide only lists station call letters, it doesn't show a guide of what's playing now. You have to pick every channel and hope it has something interesting. USB A port did not work. You can't shower without the light affecting the person still sleeping because there is only a sheer curtain separating. This hotel is best suited for a solo traveller. For all its fancy tech it really is an example of form over function.

Super nice location close to train stations and old town. Small but clean rooms. No coffee/tea in the room. Noisy night club next door. Not possible to open windows so room gets very hot when the sun is out. Aircon very noisy, so its a choice between heat or noise at night.

Great overall but don’t face the courtyard as there’s a bar that pumps music til midnight Thursday -Saturday Breakfast was yummy! Staff nice!

Very comfortable. Best shower we had in 3 weeks travelling around Europe. Be prepared to go tech - iPad in the room controls most things.

Small room, very strange arrangement of the bed which was pushed against two walls and a table, one has to crawl in and out of the bed! Very inconvenient for the second person! Never had seen one like that before. I wouldn’t have booked the room if it had shown the actual picture. We were misled! It’s not a cheap hotel and it also doesn’t include breakfast.

Should explain the fact that one side of bed is up against the window

The hotel is very clean, modern and the location is great. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great. However… the room is extremely small and one side of the bed as well as the foot of the bed are against the wall; so the person sleeping in the inside has to jump over the other person to get out of the bed. If you are a bit claustrophobic, this is not the hotel for you. There is a window but it does not open so you feel like you are enclosed in this little box. Besides that, the A/C does not get very cold. It say that it is trying to get to 64F but it never does. We had to keep calling them to reset or overnight the min temperature and in conclusion were sweating many nights. I would not recommend.

Great hotel and location for the price. Very friendly and efficient staff. Mauro was very helpful with check in and gave us great suggestions for restaurants and sights to see. The coffee and tea available 24hrs was a nice touch. Very close to the botanical gardens which was lovely.

Check in system was down upon arrival. Could not get into our room right away which was annoying, but things happen. Staff finally gave us keys to check in but they didn’t actually work. After about 45 minutes staff came to our floor to let in the people waiting, 5 different rooms. They never apologized and acknowledged the inconvenience. When we left our room the keys stil were not working. Came back 7 hours later and checked in with staff who assured us keys would work. My mom attempted to go get into the room but key still didn’t work. Staff said she would leave two vouchers for coffee in the AM. They did not do that. When my Mom attempted to get a coffee in the morning staff was rude.

Love CitizenM, every location we have stayed at is exceptional. Wonderful staff, comfortable, clean and contemporary!

When we arrived, we asked to shorten our stay by one day and requested a refund for that day to which the staff assured us they would take care of. The refund was never given even though they called the day we were leaving to make sure we were going to leave. Their cancellation policy required a 24 hour Notice which we provided because we stayed there two days of three days we’d planned to be there. We feel betrayed.

This place and service was amazing, location is great, HOWEVER there checkout and billing is terrible. Don’t PREPAY. I requested 2 weeks before my arrival for an early check out. Expedia confirmed that i will get one day refund but the hotel ignores the communication. I sent a message when they confirmed my stay and i corrected them to say i am checking out one day early because i am checking in another hotel in another city. They still have not refunded me even with Expedia help. I have proof of early check out. They wouldn’t give me a receipt so i took a picture of their computer. CitizenM blames Expedia but they have been giving a run around.

Good hotel in a good location, however a few niggles, check in was horribly complicated and I just don’t like self check-ins, too complicated. Fridge in room is great but maybe put something we can buy in it? Also there was a noisy party in a bar opposite which kept me awake…

Everything was in walking distance. Train station was 9min away. Hotel provided good breakfast.

Great location

The beds are located against the window with a desk abutting the foot of the bed, so it is difficult for the inside person to get into and out of the bed. There is no coffee pot in the room. The paid buffet breakfast has an assortment of foods, but they are always the same each day, with no variation. They do serve specialty coffees, however. The location of the hotel is near to the train station and shopping areas, which is convenient.

Súper moderno el hotel, check in por medio de iPad, de todas formas habían chicos para ayudarte, la habitación moderna también se manejaba por un iPad, si no sé si personas mayores les gustaría eso o prefieren algo más clásico, desayuno de 10, cerca de todo caminado o en bus que estaba en la esquina, si lo que le faltó a mi gusto era aunque sea dos vasos y agua.

Room is small but functional. Location is 10-15 minutes from the train station. Breakfast was surprisingly very good .

Breakfast selection is great and open at 6:00 AM which makes convenient for our next trip to Luzern. Thanks a lot!

Really lovely hotel and staff. Overall a great place to stay, but the breakfast is a rip off. Save your money and go get something elsewhere. The food is good but overpriced for the selection. The rooms are smaller than usual hotels, however the shower is incredible so as long as you can handle a smaller space, this hotel is gem!!!

Beautiful and modern looking hotel. A few blocks from the popular shopping areas. Great check-in service! The full breakfast with free unlimited coffees to 11am is a great deal at 27 CHf…it is Zurich, ain’t nothing cheap! The room is meticulously clean. The iPad control for TV, lights and climate is easy to use. Super comfortable bed and great shower! Room 404 was a bit warm even though I had it set at 18 degrees centigrade but we were so tired after walking 28,000 steps across Zurich, we still slept 8+ hours. Highly recommend.

First time in a CitizenM property. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were nice but we were in the two on the floor that had a strange extra window structure on the exterior. Property walkable from train station and to Old Town area. Breakfast was good. We utilized the late check out option which was super handy.
