Choose another place! Pros: Location was great! Hotel and room was aesthetically pleasing. Cons: While they held my bags until check-in... I busied myself for hours in town. I returned minutes before 3PM check-in time, and was told my room wasn't ready, it would be another 4 minutes. They had me wait until the exact check-in time, although clearly the room was in fact ready. WiFi password was not explained upon check-in (case-sensitive)... it was handwritten and upper/lowercase was not identifiable. I had to perform a scavenger hunt for an outlet, which was not easily accessible. Housekeeping did not fully close my room door after cleaning the room. Lastly... the evening before checkout, the elevator was out of service. While ascending four stories after a night out was annoying... the fact that there wasn't any sense of immediacy to fix the issue, upon checkout, I had to descend from the fourth floor with all of my luggage.

Tolle Lage, Zimmer sind etwas dunkel, wir waren im ersten Stock zur Straße und es war bis 24.00 h und ab 07.00 h sehr laut, was den Schlaf schon beeinträchtigt hat. das Frühstück war gut (bis auf den Kaffee). Parkmöglichkeit in einer öffentlichen Garage ca. 200 Meter vom Hotel weg (20 € pro Tag).

Tolle Lage als fußläufig. Die Rooftop Bar ist super mit der Aussicht. Leider passt es mit den angegebenen Zeiten bis 23.00 Uhr offen nicht. Einmal schon um 22.15 zu als wir kamen und am Sonntag war gar nicht auf.

This hotel is in a great location, and has a great, modern feel to it in the lobby and rooftop bar. The view from the 6th floor suite patio is nice. We had the suite and it was really disappointing, especially for what we paid. The room felt dirty, musty, and had several issues upon arrival. The biggest thing is the air conditioning makes a loud noise that will not go away and made it hard to sleep at night. The wall cover to flush the toilet was falling off and even though someone came to “fix” it, it kept coming off. The shower didn’t drain well so there was water every where every time we showered, and the temperature would switch to scalding hot without notice so that made it uncomfortable to shower. The room itself had stains on the furniture and curtains and just didn’t feel very clean. My toddler dropped a toy under the bed and it was covered in dust. We didn’t use the bathtub in the room at all because it was stained and felt dirty. The suite being on the 6th floor meant you were listening to music from the rooftop bar until well after 11 pm. The walls are zero sound proof and you can hear everything in the room from the hallway and near the elevator. The staff were not very friendly and came to check on our issues and didn’t resolve any of it, nor did they seem to care. For what we paid, we were expecting a lot more than what this hotel offered, and I can’t say I would recommend this place to anyone I know.

We had to leave the hotel within 10 minutes of checking in and had to book a new stay elsewhere. This hotel was very dirty and is not suitable for families. The room next to ours was performing loud ‘adult’ acts. The room itself was horrible. There was mold, holes in the wall, and it looked unclean. I do not understand how this hotel is considered 4 stars. I would investigate some of the reviews because I believe the positive reviews are fake. I have stayed in hostels in Lisbon that were cleaner and I felt safer at.

I was upgraded upon check in with no extra charge. We got into the room and it smelt like cigarettes and it was a very strong stench. The AC gets turned off at night so room smelt really strong it was hot. There was a weird white residue on the ceiling. I don’t think I will stay again because of the smell and it not being clean.

Nous avons été surpris par l’état de propreté de la chambre, des énormes taches sur les murs, sur les assises. Le miroir de la salle de bain dans un état lamentable. Si la chambre n’était pas vétuste, elle ne reflétait absolument pas le standing attendu dans un hôtel 4 étoiles. Rooftop fermé, aucune indication en amont e encore une fois, une grosse déception à notre arrivée puisqu’il s’agissait d’un des points de sélection de l’hôtel. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est excellent, attention par contre le parking dans la rue est cependant compliqué, et le parking à proximité peut revenir cher en cas de séjour prolongé (25€/jour). Petit déjeuner excellent également ! Et confort de literie incroyable ! L’insonorisation de l’hôtel est également un point à relever. Étant donné l’emplacement, c’est un véritable bon point. Une experience relativement positive, mais pas digne d’un 4 étoiles.

We stayed in room 509, which was a very cosy room. Unfortunately we had issues with the ac as we could not switch it on or control from our room and had to call reception each evening, which was a nuisance. Also the bath area was in poor condition and not useable ( the shower worked, but tap to fill bath did not, and no plug, so could not use). Also the glass panel was not wide enough so when having a shower the water soaked the bathroom floor. We had the option to change rooms, but had to settle for a room with shower only, as another room with working bath had a very loud ac, so we sacrifice a good soak/bath for a good nights sleep instead. On a positive the room was clean ( good housekeeping team) and the water pressure for the shower was very good. Location of the hotel although on a slight slope was very convenient to major spots in Lisbon, and lots of excellent bakeries within a few minutes walk away. If the maintenance of the rooms are kept to a high standard ( unlike our recent visit) we would consider this hotel on our future visits to Lisboa.

Très bon séjour au cœur de Lisbonne J’ai séjourné cinq nuits au 9 Hôtel Mercy, idéalement situé dans le quartier du Chiado, avec de nombreuses options de restauration à proximité immédiate. Good hotel with comfortable beds and a good breakfast. Staff aren’t friendly and don’t even smile at you or acknowledge you. The worst part of this hotel is the location. While in a tourist area of the city it is also in the party district. The noise at night is unbearable with car horns going off, people yelling and screaming. While they are out having a great time you can’t sleep. If you can get a back room you might be ok but if you get a front room facing the street sleeep won’t come easy.

I recently stayed at 9Hotel Mercy in Lisbon. While the location is excellent, my overall experience was disappointing due to issues with the accommodation and poor handling by management. We booked two suites on the 6th floor (Rooms 601 and 602) for our family, which included three children. Upon checking in, we discovered that the air conditioning in one of the rooms was not functioning. Despite several attempts by the front desk to resolve the issue remotely, it remained unresolved. By midnight, we were forced to move all three kids into our room, which resulted in a very uncomfortable and disrupted night. I even had to assist staff with moving the bedding at 1 a.m., which was far from ideal. The next morning, I requested a full refund for the unusable room, which cost around 300 EUR. However, the General Manager offered only a partial refund of 67 EUR, citing the alternative room they had proposed (despite it being a lower category and on a different floor). This response was unsatisfactory and failed to consider the significant inconvenience and disruption we experienced. Throughout my interactions with management, there was a lack of flexibility and understanding. This was particularly disappointing, as I expected a higher level of service and customer care. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend 9Hotel Mercy, especially considering the insufficient compensation for a room we were unable to use.

Estadia excelente. A atendente Rita Diniz foi impecável e nos designou o quarto 502 e não poderia ser melhor. Elogio especial a limpeza, chuveiro, educação dos atendentes da recepção. We stayed 3 nights at 9Hotel Mercy in Lisbon, in their best room. The room itself was very spacious and nicely decorated, and the suites are comfortable. Unfortunately, the experience was impacted by two major issues: the constant buzzing noise from the building’s air conditioning system, which was noticeable day and night, and a full 24-hour elevator outage. This meant climbing six floors multiple times a day. No form of compensation was offered or even suggested for these inconveniences, which was disappointing given the hotel’s category and price point.

Everyone spoke English, was warm, compassionate, friendly, and extremely helpful. Our only difficulty was a problem with the shower which required us to move to a different room. The hotel was full they couldn't move us that night so we had to wait till someone checked out the next day. They gave us a bottle of port and apologized for our inconvenience. Once we switched rooms everything was fine. They were also very accommodating when we had to leave before breakfast hours one morning and they let us go into the restaurant during the set up time and eat early. The hot dishes were not yet available but there were plenty of other things and we were very happy. They also got us reservations at a lovely restaurant in the neighborhood with terrific service and delicious food. We heard beautiful, passionate fado music there (singers and guitars). It was a really special night out! Highly recommend 9Hotel Mercy!

The location of this hotel is great and the rooms are more spacious than we expected. Really comfortable beds and quiet at night. Downsides: We didn’t find the staff to be particularly helpful. The individual at check in was rude and even though we were told we could settle our room charge at the end with preferred cards they charged it all at check in and then were unable to reverse the charge and put it onto new cards. They also mention being eco friendly but even though we hung the towels up to not be replaced they did so daily.

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend. Staff was really helpful and Tiago had great food suggestions. Whole staff was helpful and very friendly. Rooms were good size but needed more electrical outlets in the room. All in all it was. great vacation.

Perto dos locais mais badalados, bares , restaurantes etc , mas ao mesmo a avenida onde fica o hotel é silenciosa e de fácil acesso e muito segura . Outro ponto de destaque é que o hotel está de 3 a 5 min a pé , do metro estação Chiado alto . Quarto intimista , moderno e agradável . Única ressalva é o laminado que faz barulho ao andar . Atendimento impecável e de maneira geral superou as minhas expectativas.

Good start at the reception while checking in, since you are nicely offer a Porto glass. Breakfast buffet is very good, and diverse, while the room is spacious. Even though located in a important street, there is no disturbing noise coming from the street. Nice hotel to enjoy for a romantic gateway, I recommend it.
