The check in situation is odd as it is shared with the four points hotel. No front desk at all. Rooms were fine, free breakfast was fine. It felt as though if you had an issue there was no one to call. Not that I had an issue.

On this occasion, we found several things left 'undone': microwave was gross- esp. on the outside at touch points; the desk/table top was a mess; first two tissues out of the box looked as if they had been used and stuffed back in the box; toilet paper was (had been) wet; Check-in, service, breakfast, etc., was great..

LOUD noises from being so close to I40. Loud noises well into the night from the common area/ smoking area. Need much better noise reduction windows and shades. Only one night stand in between noth beds. Need a night stand on each side of both beds. No fan in the bathroom so the mirror fogs up instantly.

The hotel is nice, clean, and new, the bed was comfortable, the fitness center was really nice, and the breakfast was above average. So why 3-stars? It's not just this Marriott Fairfield, it's all Fairfields. They design the rooms with doors that slam shut! So you will hear people coming in late at night on your floor with their doors slamming, and you will hear those getting up at the crack of dawn. There must be a way to fix this, because I've stayed in many hotels that don't have this problem.

Besides it being by the interstate, the noise level is low. The staff is friendly, helpful and very attentive during the breakfast hour. The room is really nice and clean. The only thing I would note is that although it says the king suite with sofa bed sleeps 4, the sofa bed is a twin size so only one person fits. Good thing I was able to make a bed on the floor using the sofa cushions for my 5 year old. Other than that I would stay here again.

Not acceptable that the safety fee on credit card at arrival is 100$ per room !!! They dislike expedia and charge you on site with 3-7 days for refund. You become on hostage of the situation on site. Just write the security fee on the add and I will pick another one, people should know that it is a rip off ! and if you order through their app ( noit working by the way) no deposit required, just because Expedia is not liked . Highly frustrating !

The front staff came out insensitive, the staff kept on taking on the phone and he ignored me when I approached the desk. Next day, the lady at the front desk refused to smile, perhaps she was having a bad day. She did not ask if I needed a receipt while checking out. Looks like the staff are not treated well in this hotel branch. Generally we had a good experience staying at Hamptons at other places.
