Villa Alegria Cavtat

We found the beds comfortable, and it was great having 2 bathrooms. Apartment was just what we needed and spent most of the time we were at the apartment on the balcony with the amazing view. The pool was lovely as well, with comfortable sun loungers, though it was very cold when we first got there. There was a small dishwasher, but as there wasn't a lot of cutlery or crockery we didn't use it until the last morning. The fabulous view does come at a cost - a fairly long and steep climb, but we got used to it. You can cut a corner off just past the By The Way restaurant.

Although the property is outside of town, it was only a walk of maybe 12 minutes - although downhill. We were up on the hill above the water & town and the view was spectacular! We felt safe and it was very quiet....even from guests in other rooms. The property is clean and well maintained. The pool is also clean and well maintained. There was a small grocery store about 5 minutes from our property. The owner - Pero - was very accomodating. He arranged and took the 3 of us on a wine tour of 2 wineries and also drove us to the airport when we left. We would stay there again and would recommend it.

Chose this hotel based on guest reviews online. The owner Petro offers superb service and attention to all guests. Very spacious rooms with impeccable views of the Bay Area. Free parking. Grocery store just 5 minutes walking from hotel. Downtown Cavtat is only 12 minutes walking distance, although very steep for some tourists. Great variety of restaurants to choose from, with gorgeous views of the bay, specially at sunset. Cavtat itself was the perfect hub to drive all around, drove to Mostar, Podgorica, Budva, Blagaj, Kotor, Ostrog Monastery, and many other places. Ferry to Dubrovnik was very inexpensive and a great experience. Many ATM's downtown as well. Beautiful pools area with breathtaking views of the bay with Dubrovnik on the horizon. One of best hotels I've stayed at during my many trips abroad!

We had Pero (the owner) pick us up from the airport. This ensured we arrived at the accommodation without any issue. The apartment was clean and tidy with all necessary appliances. The pool area was clean and tidied everyday and the view is amazing. WiFi worked very well both inside and in the pool area. Cavtat is a little way from Dubrovnik old town but you can travel by bus, uber or boat from the harbour. For us it was ideal and we would definitely return.
