This hotel is stunning in every way. It's beautiful, the service is amazing. The indoor pool is warm and so gorgeous, with waterfalls. They let me leave my car there after checking out so I could go and do a tour. I highly recommend it

Excelente. Staff muito profissional, muito cortez e fino. Instalações do hotel finamente decoradas, muita limpeza e conforto. Ótimo café da manhã. Garagem coberta excelente. Portaria 24 h, muito efeciente.

This hotel is beautiful, it’s set in an old renovated building, the rooms are very big and the beds are really comfortable. The breakfast choice is amazing and includes cooked to order omelettes and Bloody Marys. The pool area is lovely, as are the spa facilities. The hotel is a 15 minute taxi drive away from the centre and is located in the beautiful area at the Torre de Belem.

Very good for the price I paid. Attached garage. Only downside the sauna was closed for repair.

Second séjour, après une première expérience excellente. Cette fois, l’expérience a été plus décevante. Le premier jour, le petit-déjeuner commandé n’a pas été servi et le buffet était très limité pour un hôtel de ce standing. Les suivants étaient corrects, sans se démarquer. L’accès à la piscine est désormais payant (20 € par personne et par jour), contrairement à notre premier séjour, ce qui a fortement impacté notre satisfaction. En revanche, très bon accueil à la réception et chambre confortable et au calme, malgré une insonorisation perfectible. À tarif équivalent, il existe des hôtels de standing similaire offrant davantage de services dont l’accès piscine, ce qui ne nous incite pas à revenir.

Truly a gem. The property was adapted from an antique house with a pool on the terrace and another pool in the basement. The architecture is worth visiting in its own right. The space, both the room and the facilities, are a lot bigger and nicer than what the pictures suggest. The owner should consider retaking the pictures!

Great hotel. Amazing shower in rooms. Relaxing indoor pool and spa as well as outdoor pool facilities. Staff extremely attentive and helpful including the manger Antonio. Relaxing breakfast on the patio. Had a great time at the bar including bar food. Will definitely stay again.

Das Hotel ist sauber und gepflegt. Die Gegend ist ruhig und sicher gelegen. Fußläufig sind schöne Restaurants sowie Boutiquen erreichbar.

Nice place and very friendely staff. Not the same service as i expect at any 5 star hotells. Breakfast was good and they have a cheff that will cook the eggs how you want and preffere them, except for that i would say it is a 3-4 star brekfast but still very good. Pool area is amall and nice, not overcrowded at all when I was there a Monday afternoon, but got no service there so had to walk up to the bar inside all the time and bring my drinks Main reason i came to this hotell for one night was to get some propper sleep and it was advertised as sound proof rooms but i herd the train and traffic every time it passed by and herd the maids talking and doing their things in the hallway in the morning. Strong smell like wet hair from the shower drain which got better after I put some water in it and there was no toilet articles so i had to call the reseption so they brought it up to my room at night since i did not bring own because i am used to that a 5 starts have more then everything i need. My room and ac controller on the wall was very dirty and sticky when i pushed it wich i think is disgusting and should not be hard keeping clean Else the bed was very good and i still managed to have a ok night of good sleep with few interruptions Minibar had bad selection And only one small bottle of complimentary water for a delux room ment for two people And loation,gel,conditioner and shampoo bottles were well under half emty so i had the feeling i was using someone elses bathroom.

El Hotel lo sentí un poco viejo... no parece un 5 estrellas. Las pantuflas son re-usadas, baños viejos, etc. Nada que ver con un verdadero 5 estrellas. El desayuno muy promedio.

This is quite a detailed review to give you a full picture of our (my wife and I) stay at this hotel The bad 1. The air conditioning does not work. They have listed it as a feature but the entire time we were there, it didn’t work. Even after changing rooms two times. The first night we slept sweating since there were no other rooms available. Then we were changed to another room where the tap was wobbling, sockets didn’t work, light bulbs were flickering. They updated us to a suite but again, the AC didn’t work. 2. The hotel is in the best and worst location at the same time. Best since it’s in Belem so a sizable area with good amenities. However, on one side there’s a noisy tram and on the other side a noisy train. If you have to sleep with the windows open like us, you would imagine being awoken to the noise of trains and trams isn’t the best when you’re staying at a resort. Especially at 6 am every morning. 3. The housekeeping staff forgot to put toilet paper and water the next day after housekeeping. 4. The staff at breakfast at times didn’t understand English. Rather than getting someone in staff that spoke English, they just smiled and left. This happened on two occasions. 5. The staff at the reception was EXCEPTIONAL. They tried their best to remedy situations but when things like air conditioners don’t work, I think they should just inform the truth rather than send repairmen to fix it when it won’t. 6. The hotel and staff were great. We asked to move rooms due to the noise from the trams and cars. Staff responded quickly to ensure this was smoothly undertaken.

The hotel standard rooms are good in size and the location of them ideal to be away from the train rails, which are noisy very early during week days. We stayed in standard room for a night and 3 nights at a Double room with the river view, and we preferred the former. Roomier and quieter. Save your money and go for the standard room if you want to rest and be fresh in the morning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Top notch. Tiago was incredibly helpful and accomodating. The breakfast buffet is nice, after all is free. Your basic fare...eggs, freshly prepared omelettes and granola, pancakes and fruits. No complain here. And the best part, free parking. I saw Lisbon hotels charging up to 40 euros a day??? Highly recommended hotel.

We’ve been very fortunate to have stayed in some amazing properties around the world and I would rank the staff here as some do the best we’ve encountered. Property itself is great - rooms are extremely well appointed but with any historical property it’s not going to be the most soundproof. A lot of excess noise from both the street and anyone walking above you so something to keep in mind. But yeah, to feel like, and to be treated like royalty I’d highly recommend.

The decor was lovely, a really great hotel away from the main city and crowds but so easy to get into the tourist areas. Some lovely local restaurants near the hotel - easy to get from airport and easy to get taxi to Sintra. A fantastic mini break. Would recommend and will stay again.

Comfortable well appointed hotel. A little gloomy in the evenings for me. Light switches in the bathroom need attention. Ordered eggs for breakfast but nothing showed up. An OK stay but not quite what I expect from a “Leading Small Hotel of the World”.

We enjoyed this beautiful hotel! The rooms are large, modern, comfortable bedding and a fantastic shower! The breakfast was excellent. One employee that was very kind and gracious to us was Pralad from Nepal. Also the tram to downtown is right outside the hotel. There is a market and restaurants very closeby.

Excellent service. Ines and her team are very friendly and helpful. Room is spacious, bed is comfortable, nice bath gel, hotel is within walking distance to CCB, Belem tower, restaurants as well as supermarket and pharmacy. Highly recommended!

They have a great manager and Staff. António Ferreira was very helpful and has a great people skills. We loved this place. Close to the city attractions and very safe.

From the moment I arrived to the moment I departed the performance of the hotel and hotel staff was extraordinary. My check-in was fast. A staff member accompanied to my room and explained the room and the hotel amenities. The room was aesthetically and logistically pleasing, clean, and of sufficient size. The bathroom was large, with an extra large shower with excellent water pressure. The housekeeping staff was efficient. Breakfast was 5-star, with plenty of choices, all of high-quality. The concierge exceeded expectations in providing touring and transportation advice. And when I departed the concierge staff provided water and cookies- a very nice touch! Palacio do Governor will be my go to choice if/when I return to Lisbon. I highly recommend the hotel.

Perfect Hotel, but far from central Lisbon but you can get a tran right outside of the hotel that takes you to right at the center. Awesome staff, clean and specious rooms.

This is a beautifully retired Governor's Palace with precise blue and white decor. Even the small rooms are charming. The grounds are beautiful, and staff inviting. I loved everything about my stay. Breakfast is adequate. There are plenty of rooms to lounge in and do some work from home, and the staff is very attentive. It is coveniently located by the water, and it is a short walk to museums and Pasteis de Belem, home to the famous custard tart. We mange.ved here after a few days in Lisboa, we did not regret our hotel change.

Hotel is great, clean, ample rooms, great breakfast, only a little hard to find because it has no signs outside, ample free parking if you have your car. Tram 15E passes in front of the hotel and takes you straight to downtown for 3 Euro, no chance to get lost. There is a good restaurant across the street, but if you go, and they offer you extra seafood as an entree, be careful, we were surprised with an Euro 380 bill for 6 big shrimps (langostinos, 1.5 Kg / 3.3 pounds, we were foolish by not asking the cost before ordering ), the rest of the meal was only around 200 Euro for 5 people including drinks.

This property lives up to the definition of a luxury boutique hotel. Comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Lots of casual meeting places within and close by. Enjoyed the a-la-carte dining options for breakfast. A great stay and will recommend to family and friends travelling to the Lisbon area.
