Great location, nice pool, great water front beach area.

The building is a little tired looking from the outside but inside it’s lovely, very clean and has lots of areas to relax and enjoy the gorgeous views of the sea. There’s lots of sun loungers and bean bag beds and several levels with sofas and tables , felt quiet and intimate even at full capacity Would definitely stay again 20min walk to town centre or 20 euro taxi

The property lives up to the positive reviews. Excellent option if traveling to Hvar by car as parking available and hotel is a reasonable walk to the old town. Ample loungers to enjoy when just relaxing on a very nice property.

Fantastisk beliggende hotell i strandkanten med et flott beachområde med egen bar. Fantastisk serviceminded og hyggelig ansatte i beachområde. De følger gjestene veldig godt ppp. Veldig godt utvalg i drikke og veldig god mat. Kokken på hotellet viser dette også på middagen. Frokosten kunne vært bedre men for oss er dette en uvesentlig bagatell fordi alt annet kompenserer så til de grader. Rundt 25 min. rolig gange langs sjøen til Hvar, der man finner et stort utvalg av barer og restauranter.

Petit hôtel bien agencé avec une magnifique vue sur mer. Transat à disposition sous un arbre ou au soleil, restauration, massage, sauna et piscine à disposition. Très beau séjour passé dans cet hôtel, et à seulement 20 minutes du port de Hvar à pied.

Praia, quarto, vista mar, café da manhã e atendimento excelentes. Usei a academia todos os dias. Muito boa e em excelente estado. A 20 minutos de caminhada da Old Town. Adoramos a estadia

We had an amazing stay at the Podstine in July. The hotel is beauty, tucked away on the coast just a 20 minute walk from Hvar Town. The real gem of the hotel is the private beach, sunbeds and swimming area. The hotel staff are very attentive, helpful, and lovely to chat to at breakfast, at the beach bar and at check-in. Maya was lovely to speak with and while I waited for drinks at the bar! The dive centre next door was a big bonus too, as my partner was able to dive without having to get a taxi or a walk a long distance. The breakfast was quite simple in terms of options, but was fine for us. We stayed in an “economy” room. It was quite limited in terms of space, but again, that didn’t bother us! It may just be a problem for couples travelling with lots of luggage. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel but the menu looked good. The drinks menu at the beach bar had a wide range and was reasonably priced compared to Hvar town. I would recommend the Podstine to anyone. We would definitely like to return one day! Thank you for a brilliant stay.

If you don't like walking don't go to Hvar it's full of steps, that said this hotel is 15mins direct or 25mins via a lovely coastal walk away from town. Its quiet with private beach away from all the partying in Hvar. Breatfast was great, fresh salmon with eggs and a coffee. Rooms are large, but dated and our balcony wasn't used. We were happy we stayed here instead of Amorfa.

Swimming area is best on the island.

We loved our stay at this hotel! everything was super clean and the staff were extremely friendly. the private beach area was AMAZING and so quiet. breakfast in the morning was so delicious as well. my only regret is only staying here one night!

The hotel needs a deep clean, a repaint and more (and better) staff. It really isn't a 4 star hotel. The pool is green and cloudy, the staff abrupt at times, rhenlift broke down, there's no proper bar, the food is very average. We only ate there one evening and that was enough! The location is great, but this hotel is suffering from and identity crisis.

Having traveled extensively and staying at many hotels, I could truly tell you this was one gem of our hotel. Located approximately a mile from the Hvar town the hotel is situated directly on the Adriatic Sea. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very hospitable. The octopus was heavenly, and the preparation of the meal was also heavenly. They have a nice little pool and beach bar. For those who are brave enough to enter the Adriatic sea, there is easy access from the hotel. All in all we found the hotel to be ranked a nine out of 10. All things considered I would strongly recommend this hotel as the price is extremely reasonable and the food atmosphere and staff very accommodating.

Underbart och lugnt läge. Vi gick från hamnen med väskor på ca 25 min. Härlig strandpromenad nästan hela vägen. Hotellet i mycket bra skick, mycket bra rum med liten balkong och havsutsikt. Mycket trevlig personal.

Lovely 3 Day Break. Hotel was in a great location about 20 walks from the Old Town. Room was lovely, but needs a bit updating. Room wasn’t cleaned for 1 of the days, but sorted quickly. Bar & Restaurant was lovely. Sun beds & pool were great

This hotel is in a beautiful location in Podstine bay with pool and private beach. The hotel is exceptionally clean and all the staff are pleasant and helpful. A 25 minute walk takes you into the centre but lots of steps are involved. The bathrooms are very small in the room we had but modern and ok

The most amazing stay! You almost don’t have to leave the accomodation. The pool and private beach is perfect and the accomodation is clean.

The rooms are maybe a little outdated but there big, clean and the beds were comfy. Great views of the balcony’s and the beach air was great. Lots of loungers and the provide you with beach towels. It’s a bit of a walk into town about 20 min not to bad,

Clean but small room, bathroom was a little dated and small but all good apart from that! The view on a basic room is of the walls and makes the room very dark but that didn’t matter to us as we were out of the room most of the time! The hotel itself is great with stunning views and a great area to swim in the sea. It’s a 20 minute walk into town so was great for that aspect too.

The hotel has a nice private beach for you to use. When I was there it was not too crowded and room for all guests. Rooms are ok, but bit dated. The noise isolation is quite poor so you hear guest walking in the hall or in the rooms next to you (left/right, top/bottom). One side is facing the water with a nice view of the beach, the other straight into a wall on the other side give the room a more claustrophobic vibe. Food at the hotel is fine, but the main town is a lovely 20min walk along a beautiful water way and is highly recommended to go into the center and explore

Hotel Podstine is right on the ocean so swimming is right at your doorstep. The ocean is at the lowest level so you have to either take the stairs or elevator down. The room was very comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the ocean and Pakleni islands. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was large and delicious, with good vegan selections. The hotel was a bit too far from Hvar town center. It took us 20 minutes to walk at a good pace. It was a nice walk on the promenade by the ocean, though, and then 100 steps up to a small road and another few minutes to the hotel. Although it was nice to be away from the noise of the town, I would have chosen a hotel that was a 10-12 minute walk down the promenade.

Great breakfast, Amazing restaurant service for dinner. Beautiful, relaxing beach area…the Wi-Fi is in and out. The bed was uncomfortable. And most of the standard rooms are in separate building. Overall was a great stay. Don’t forget to feed and pet the cat💕

Comfortable and spacious room

Considering that this was by far the most expensive hotel that I’ve stayed in, and considering it is rated 4* and we paid for a Superior room, many aspects fell short of expectations. To be fair, the room was generally excellent, with very effective air conditioning, a good shower, a huge bed, loads of storage space, and good lighting. The curtains, however, only covered 2/3 of the window, and the balcony had a view almost entirely restricted by palms. Breakfast was particularly poor with, for example, no brown bread, no bread rolls, and no croissants that weren’t pre-filled with Apricot jam. The restaurant was also very spartan, with very few tables, making it resemble a part-used function room. Table clearance was also quite slow. That said, it was possible to dine on a small terrace outside, which was nicer. Finally, the beach area had very few loungers, and even less accompanying cushions, so these were very hard to acquire. Many were also positioned on a quite precarious ledge, making them a challenge for anyone who wasn’t sure-footed. The sea was also quite deep in the bathing area, so it wasn’t possible to touch the bottom if you were a nervous swimmer. Finally, the old town was a 35 minute walk away, or €20 taxi ride. In summary, a nice hotel, with generally great rooms, but probably not worthy of its price tag and star rating

Very helpful and welcoming reception staff. Lovely hotel . Excellent breakfast . Just 2 things to note, drain in shower is blocked and the toilet flush button is very , very hard to push . Apart from that we had a lovely stay . Thank you

Beautiful property! We took many cold showers though. There was not enough hot water in our room for even two quick showers.

Fantastic hotel about 20 minutes walk into hvar town along the waters edge. A great walk and there’s restaurants hotels etc to pass on the way . Nice and quiet hotel, pool is tiny but everyone seems to sit at the sea as you have direct access to the sea. We paid for a sea view and only got a partial sea view as theres a huge palm tree growing in front of the hotel and it severely blocked our view. I asked the hotel to cut it back but the gardener has to come from Split so it’s probably still a problem. There are lots of trees in front of the hotel but this palm tree has been planted far too close to the hotel and it is coming into all the balconies at one side of the hotel. Other than the dreaded palm tree it was a fantastic hotel in a great location as we love a walk when going out for our evening meal.

The service was fantastic!

All the staff from the bar, to the reception, to cleaning was superb and incredibly helpful. Location is great, 20 minute walk along the water that feels like a 5 minute walk. Beautiful views from the hotel. And for the price it’s at it is truly unbelievable. I definitely recommend this hotel for individuals that may wish to go into the old town for a night out but also value their space from the partying.

Very overated. Concierge was not nice. Asked not to enter my room for absence of tower, but insisted to do so without permission. The delineated pool or beach front was not what i was expected from the pics.

Intially we had trouble accessing the internet. The manager quickly took care of the problem by providing a new modem which solved our problem. All the staff seemed genuinely kind and attentive and I would not hesitate to encourage anyone to stay here. Restaurant served excellent food round the clock. A seaside walk into the village convinced me that being on the edge of town was most desirable as the music gets to be quite a nuisance just 1 or 2 bays over. Also a small grocery store nearby was very convenient. A shuttle would be an appreciated service but all in all we very much enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful staff and the hotel and room are excellent.

The reception staff, Adriana and the manager Branco were very accommodating. Our room did not have air conditioning for a day and a half and once fixed we were given a lovely dinner with drinks at the hotel. The layout is a little bit difficult for anyone with mobility issues. It would be helpful as we arrived in the town of Havar to have a luggage pickup as part of the hotel offerings.

Genuine negative review. The welcome from reception staff was terrible, there was no “welcome to this hotel, we hope you enjoy your stay, can we help you with your bags” zero effort made. The girl on reception just said “passports” to us & grunted that our room wasn’t ready. May I add there was 3 staff members on reception & all 3 of them were on their personal mobile phones giving no attention to any of us checking in. We were exhausted from travelling & just wanted to shower etc. I acknowledge that check in is at 3pm & this was 2pm but I had to ask for towels to use the swimming / shower facilities this wasn’t immediately offered to us. The room when we eventually were allowed in still had wet & slippy floors & it was extremely tiny, with no view! To be honest the room would be better off used as a sore room. Very dates decor & again tiny!! The breakfast the next morning was very very poor. One of the worst I have seen, the “fresh” fruit was days old & surely unsafe to eat. There was no staff member to help with any questions etc. one coffee machine between all guests, just not 4 star quality at all. Check out was another negative experience - I asked if there was a service where the hotel could help bring out bags to the port (this was something I noticed other hotels on the island doing) I was laughed at & told no it’s €20 for a taxi. We weren’t asked how our stay was or else I would have commented on a few things, I didn’t get that opportunity. Overall,terrible!

You can't beat the picturesque, serene waterfront here. It was especially perfect with good food and drinks from the adjacent bar. The location was a decent walk from the city center, ~ 20 minutes but very doable. We very much enjoyed our stay, highly recommend!

Chambre agréable bien équipée, salle de bains un peu petite. Piscine et possibilité de se baigner sans problèmes dans la mer ( bien agréable après la visite de cette belle ville). Avons dîné face à la mer par deux fois compte tenu de la qualité de la cuisine proposée et du service impeccable ( merci Borna). Un excellent choix pour résider à Hvar.

Hotel is very nicely located. Area is quiet and beach access is amazing. I loved everything about outside. Food was average and I would recommend spending your money in the city as opposed to the hotel. Staff was very friendly. Our room was terribly small and that was the only downside but thankfully we did not spend much time in it.

This hotel is wonderful. The location is so good. It is peaceful and relaxing. Having your own beachfront was wonderful. The views are gorgeous. We enjoyed a few days here mid holiday and it was a wonderful break. Theres not a lot in the town but this resort is worth staying at. You can walk to town but not with bags ifv it's hot. Only negative was the price of taxis to town and lack of uber. ( not the hotels fault)

We had a wonderful stay at Podstine! This hotel is a 20 minute walk into town but you are walking right along the beautiful coast… the staff are very friendly and welcoming! We would definitely stay here again!

The amenities at this hotel were amazing - beautiful scenery and views, ability to swim right out of the hotel, nice complimentary breakfast in the morning, etc. Some things to consider depending on the vibe you’re going for - quite a walk to town and taxis each way are not cheap. If you’re looking for somewhere relaxing, you found your place. The ACs could have been stronger in the rooms as very hot in the summer time. The restaurant food for lunch and dinner were not very good and limited options close by if not wanting to go into town. There are no umbrellas on the deck so if you aren’t there to put your towel out early, you miss out on shade. Rooms could use a refresh! Overall great property, very happy with our stay and would stay again!

There were plenty of choices for breakfast. The manager of the restaurant was friendly and professional, therefore things runs smoothly.

The location is heavenly. Direct access to the sea in shallow waters is unique. The staff was excellent, especially bar and restaurant st. aff. The bathroom was small. Restaurants within walking distance were all excellent. Breakfast at the hotel was top notch. The easy, 20 min walk along the sea to Hvar town made going there easy while staying away from the party scenes. Relaxing stay. Would go again and highly recommedning to friends and family.
