Great resort with kids pool, club and great buffet breakfast. Resort is at the end of the main road so will need taxi to main strip for shopping, massage and other dining. Overall very nice experience and would come again with family with kids.

Unfortunately there were lots of little issues that all together made our experience not the most memorable! We are a family of four that stayed in a 2 bdr pool villa! The villa is lovely, a little run down in parts but worth the money! Upon arrival the resort does not hold a credit card or bond from a debit card! You place a deposit which they hold and once that runs out you have to then place another deposit! Usually hotels/resorts hold a minimal amount on your card in which they can charge upon departure! That way you can charge meals, spa treatments to your room! The shower in our Villa was also cold, though we should have advised staff earlier of this. There is really only one place at a time you can eat! The restaurant closes at 10am then the beach club opens, no new options for meals or dinner unless you venture outside of the resort! We were confronted with the facilities always running out of what we were wanting, I couldn’t even order a soda water at the lobby bar! The private beach was a little disappointing, we arrived to a very small beach, broken down beach chairs etc and not a place you can order lunch. The resort pool is the best place to swim, and is actually very well maintained! The Sakala Beach Club is a nice facility but once again as mentioned above no new food options and sometimes they have run out of certain selections! The spa facility is lovely, though I paid for 2 x 45 minute treatments and only received an hour. The staff though were lovely

Insgesamt eine schöne Unterkunft jedoch an manchen Stellen etwas in du Jahre gekommen. Frühstück top. Restaurant okay Personal war super freundlich wollte allerdings immer Veranstaltungen verkaufen. Die Bar war super Getränke sehr lecker. Und im Pool natürlich ein Highlight. Für unseren Start in den Urlaub war es super.

The staff are very friendly and do their best to provide a good service. Unfortunately the hotel is old and needs a renovation. As an example the mosaic tiles in the pool are missing and breaking away. The spa jets in the pool cabana's dont work. The fridge in the room didnt close properly. If the hotel was renovated it would be excellent. Great sized rooms, good staff, the strong aircon in the room was a great.

The good things 1. The room of the hotel was clean and good. 2. There is a shuttle bus to the Bali collection shopping. The bad things: 1. The water of the swimming pool was so dirty and we could not swim. 2. The stuff members at the check-in counter didn’t explain about things in the hotel. 3. Virkeligt lækkert hotel med alt hvad man kan forestille sig. Morgenmaden var uovertruffen og der var masser af ting at vælge imellem. Poolområdet var delvist på den ene side af vejen samt en kæmpe pool i midten af resortet. Et virkeligt lækkert hotel.

This hotel was very pretty. Staff was great. Spa (when they got you in) was amazing. The pool area was well put together, but easy to get lost in. The beach club across the street has another pool with pool bar and a restaurant. There's security to assist in crossing the street which was nice.

The hotel and the room itself were okay. The problem was the beach. The beach is really not suitable for swimming – it is very dirty. It’s a public beach, and on both sides there are water sports facilities. There are stray dogs everywhere, and you don’t feel safe at all. On top of that, the swimming pool was also very dirty and not properly cleaned. Furthermore, the restaurant and the staff at the poolside restaurant seemed completely overwhelmed. It took them a very long time to come, and the portions were so small that you would have to order two dishes right away.

First of all, I was truly impressed by how secure this hotel is. In Bali, there are many bikes and cars, and crossing the street can be difficult, but the hotel security staff kindly and cheerfully help guests cross the road. When vehicles enter the premises, they also carefully check around the car to ensure safety, which I found very reassuring. At check-in, all the front desk staff welcomed us with warm smiles. Even though I don’t speak English well, they kindly used a translator device and guided us carefully all the way to our room, which was very helpful in such a large hotel. The entire property, including the rooms, is extremely clean. There is also a pool, and I was impressed to see the staff cleaning leaves from the water every morning. The maintenance and cleaning of the grounds were also consistently well done. There’s a beach just across from the hotel, and I really appreciated that we could enjoy both the pool and the beach with towel rentals available. Above all, whenever we had any concerns, every staff member responded with a warm smile and a helpful attitude. As a mother traveling with a child, I was quite anxious at first, but thanks to the wonderful staff, we had a safe and truly enjoyable stay. I especially want to thank Ms. Tiur, who helped us during check-in. We had a lovely stay at the Sakala - rooms were very clean, choice and food at restaurants was great, including the very extensive breakfast buffet! The basement rooms do have dehumidifiers in and can smell a bit damp, which was fine for a few days stay but may be worth upgrading for longer. Staff were all super attentive and friendly - would recommend to others!!

It was a lovely place to stay, loved the pool. Showers had grime in corners and needs proper cleaning. Kettle was leaking out and the replacement was the same. No proper bar fridge/fridge, thus was not able to store medication that needed to be kept in a fridge. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices and resonable price.

The room was full of insects and not clean. My son after sitting on the sofa started itching and once they took the cover out and replaced it with regular sheets he was able to sit.It’s a shame because it could be better. The beautiful details around the facility suggest it may had better days.I left after one night and lost my non- refundable payment. If you are booking this hotel don’t pay up in advance. There are many beautiful hotels in Bali with true Bali hospitality ,this is not one of them. The breakfast was ok, the overall stay for one night was not comfortable. I have requested that they pay attention to my complaints ( waited in the first night 3 hrs with back and forth msgs but saw the manager the following morning around 10 or 11)I also requested that they make sure it does not happen to someone else. I have suggested that they refund my payment because it will just assure me they are willing to make changes. The manager refused as it is policy. To me it only means they can’t do real changes.

Sakala Resort Bali lever ikke op til et 5 stjernet hotel. Værelserne er store og flotte, men rengøringen er ikke optimal og på alle de 4 værelser som min familie havde booket, vrimlede det med myre. Vi spiste første aften på hotellets restaurant og det var en frygtelig oplevelse. Den slags mad må man ikke servere på et 5 stjernet hotel. Den eneste ros hotellet skal ha' er, at personalet er super venlige og imødekommende.

We stayed at Sakala for 6 nights. We reserved a room with view to pool. That was on the 5th floor and we had to walk endless hallways to reach our room. In this hotel I advice to choose access to pool -room, because the pool area is wonderful. The Sakala resort area was very big, and to go to Sakala beach club you need to cross a very busy road. There is hotel personnel to quide you over, but good to know before choosing where to stay. Breakfast was good, but to get coffee from the barista area it took so long that the coffee was cold when served. Also the breakfast room was so huge and diveded into three different areas, so picking toast, omelets, fruits, juice and what ever you wanted to have took many steps and many minutes. Personnel were very polite, and it was easy to get lunch or beveridges from different bars in the resort. Rooms were a bit gloomy with dark floor materials and as the rooms were all very big, they also were chilly. Also Sakala is situated in quite remote area, so there were not many nice places outside Sakala to go for dinner or to do some shopping.

As someone who works remotely and was partially working on my vacation, I was sleeping late at night and was getting woken up every morning from the noise. The noise was quite simply unbearable, even if I was not sleeping, you go to a place like Bali for the peace and quiet, not for a property demolition going on and waking up to that noise every day. Our room was infested with aunts when we checked in. We informed the property but they told us that they don't have any other room available. Then they started spraying very strong pesticides while we were still present in the property but even that did not take care of the aunt infestation completely. The property is literally falling apart. I am sure this was a great property once but it has been run down and not very well maintained. Door handles were falling off, shower pressure was non-existent, internet speed was barely between 2-3 Mbps and it was disconnecting frequently. For the staff, some were lovely and some absolutely rude and inconsiderate, not caring about the DND sign either. Expedia support, 0 stars. No help and no follow up for days.

The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. They were so good with our kids and engaging. Demmy and Tiua at breakfast so lovely. Loved the egg station chef Kuma who remembered my order of my omelette every morning. The two bedroom suite was cleaned beautifully and so big and comfortable to stay in. Definitely recommend this resort.

We enjoyed the Buffet breakfast and beach bar. We enjoyed spending time at the beach club. We liked the room and its overall size and design. Our tv had very poor reception and was difficult to operate and access the stations. During a degustation Indonesian dinner we were given an Arak cocktail. Both my partner and I felt sick very shortly after having a few sips of the cocktail so we did not contiue drinking it. My partner very quickly started to feel very unwell and we left to return to our room befor eth eend of the meal. My partner became violently sick and nautious, vomitting throughout the night, resulting in a doctor and nursaes called to the room to provide IV antibiotics and other treatments. The doctor said we probably had a bad reaction to Arak as we had never had it before and our systems could not tolerate it at even the smallest amount. Our last day at the hotel was not so good as my partner still felt drained, tired and a little unwell. Unfortunately, it meant that our final 24 hours at the hotel was a very challenging time. We do not feel that the hotel should provide Arak to people eho have never had it before as they may have a similar reaction to the two of us.

The staff are very friendly and do their best to provide a good service. Unfortunately the hotel is old and needs a renovation. As an example the mosaic tiles in the pool are missing and breaking away. The spa jets in the pool cabana's dont work. The fridge in the room didnt close properly. If the hotel was renovated it would be excellent. Great sized rooms, good staff, the strong aircon in the room was a great.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa for our trip to Bali, the apartment was huge, very well maintained and had everything we needed and more, it came with a butler, ours was Yudi, he was fantastic, everything we needed he sorted immediately, he would WhatsApp us restaurant suggestions, tours and what was happening in the resort, we really couldn't have asked for more from him. This place is an ideal relaxation destination, was a couple hours from all the hustle and bustle of Bali but that suited us and taxis were so cheap it didn't matter. Would highly recommend this resort!

My stay at The Sakala Resort was simply incredible — a true 100/10 experience. From the moment I checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The team at reception was warm and welcoming, and I have to give a special shoutout to the lovely lady at breakfast (I forgot her name!) who makes the omelettes — she was an absolute gem. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The resort itself is packed with fantastic facilities that made the stay even more enjoyable. I will absolutely be coming back, and I’ll be recommending The Sakala Resort to all my friends and family. Thank you for such a memorable stay!

Wow this Resort & the staff were absolutely AMAZING!! Our holiday at Sakala for my 40th birthday will be one we'll both fondly remember for a long time to come ❤ Every staff member we encountered was kind & helpful, they bent over backwards to create a beautiful stay for us both. We'd especially like to Thank Demmy & his breaky team, Novan, Wiri & his team & Ditya with the awesome barstaff! Sakala beach resort staff very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast good variety and choice of national and international food. The room air conditioning was great. The hotel was impeccable clean, the room cleaners were fantastic and even lined our kids soft toys on their bed each time they made up the room. Had a great time at the Sakala, the staff were incredible and it was a nice relaxing time. The hotel itself is getting a bit tired and could do with some maintenance but nothing major. We loved staying in this area, much quieter than other parts of Bali, We would definitely stay here again!

This was by far the best vacation me and my fiancee have ever had! From the moment we checked in the staff were unbelieveable! So friendly and accomodating! We were given an amazing welcome drink while we checked in and as we did that the bell hop swiftly had our luggae delivered to the room, we were then walked up and given a tour/walkaround of our room, the resort, and the events happening! The room was incredible! The air conditioning was nice and cold, the bed was incredibly comfy, and we always came back to our room very clean after a day out exploring! The breakfast every morning in the restaurant was incredible! The staff were perfect always making sure we were happy and that we had everything we needed and ontop of that they all made the effort to remember our names and every single one of them greeted us each and every morning which just made the experience feel magical!!! I could go on and on about how amazing this resort is but if im being honest, its not the resort that made our stay incredible but it was thanks to the most amazing staff that they have employed there! Demmy was vital to everything as he was there for us on and off shift if we had any issue he handled it immediatly! As well as him and the Sakala staff all got involved and helped me plan the perfect proposal for my fiancee from searching the island to find her fav flowers for the bouquet for the room right down to having a beautiful note written on our mirror and the whole room set up for her!

We stayed at Sakala for 6 nights. We reserved a room with view to pool. That was on the 5th floor and we had to walk endless hallways to reach our room. In this hotel I advice to choose access to pool -room, because the pool area is wonderful. The Sakala resort area was very big, and to go to Sakala beach club you need to cross a very busy road. There is hotel personnel to quide you over, but good to know before choosing where to stay. Breakfast was good, but to get coffee from the barista area it took so long that the coffee was cold when served. Also the breakfast room was so huge and diveded into three different areas, so picking toast, omelets, fruits, juice and what ever you wanted to have took many steps and many minutes. Personnel were very polite, and it was easy to get lunch or beveridges from different bars in the resort. Rooms were a bit gloomy with dark floor materials and as the rooms were all very big, they also were chilly. Also Sakala is situated in quite remote area, so there were not many nice places outside Sakala to go for dinner or to do some shopping.

The hotel and the room itself were okay. The problem was the beach. The beach is really not suitable for swimming – it is very dirty. It’s a public beach, and on both sides there are water sports facilities. There are stray dogs everywhere, and you don’t feel safe at all. On top of that, the swimming pool was also very dirty and not properly cleaned. Furthermore, the restaurant and the staff at the poolside restaurant seemed completely overwhelmed. It took them a very long time to come, and the portions were so small that you would have to order two dishes right away.

Séjour très décevant malgré un personnel irréprochable L’hôtel est malheureusement extrêmement bruyant et pas du tout reposant. Il est entouré de chantiers, et chaque jour — même le dimanche — on entend les marteaux-piqueurs du matin au soir. Le bruit est tellement fort qu’on a parfois l’impression que les travaux se font dans la chambre même. La chambre dispose d’une petite cuisine, mais totalement inutile : il n’y a même pas une fourchette ni aucun ustensile pour s’en servir. La plage n’est pas terrible non plus : c’est la zone où sont loués les jetskis et autres activités nautiques, donc très bruyante, et il faut traverser la route pour y accéder. Le seul point positif reste la nourriture, vraiment bonne, et comme souvent à Bali, le personnel est absolument adorable et professionnel.

We stayed at the sakala resort for 10 nights, staying in the 2 bed villa with pool. The villa was stunning and huge! The photos don’t do it justice, it was over two levels and the spaces were huge. The pool was great and we spent most of the time in the Villa. The service was exceptional generally, with a special mention to Mr Agung who was amazing. The private beach wasn’t amazing, very small and rubbish in the resorts area.
We stayed at the sakala resort for 10 nights, staying in the 2 bed villa with pool. The villa was stunning and huge! The photos don’t do it justice, it was over two levels and the spaces were huge. The pool was great and we spent most of the time in the Villa. The service was exceptional generally, with a special mention to Mr Agung who was amazing. The private beach wasn’t amazing, very small and rubbish in the resorts area.

This resort is huge and beautiful. The staff is great and restaurant options were very good. The only thing I was disappointed with was the beach was dirty and there were boats everywhere. Really making it an eye sore.

This hotel was very pretty. Staff was great. Spa (when they got you in) was amazing. The pool area was well put together, but easy to get lost in. The beach club across the street has another pool with pool bar and a restaurant. There's security to assist in crossing the street which was nice.

Hotel and staff were amazing...location of the hotel was unsatisfactory at best for travelers who want to explore or check out beautiful beaches. If you're a family just wanting pool time then this is a great pick. Massages, restaurants, and shopping are all a 10 minute walk away...the view from the pool was amazing but once you reach the beach you quickly realize there is nowhere to wonder. This is a jetstar airline hotel for pilots and stewardesses so a one night stay is perfect for that crowd. Overall, after 5 days we feel very relaxed but missed out on beautiful views and amazing beaches.

Unfortunately there were lots of little issues that all together made our experience not the most memorable! We are a family of four that stayed in a 2 bdr pool villa! The villa is lovely, a little run down in parts but worth the money! Upon arrival the resort does not hold a credit card or bond from a debit card! You place a deposit which they hold and once that runs out you have to then place another deposit! Usually hotels/resorts hold a minimal amount on your card in which they can charge upon departure! That way you can charge meals, spa treatments to your room! The shower in our Villa was also cold, though we should have advised staff earlier of this. There is really only one place at a time you can eat! The restaurant closes at 10am then the beach club opens, no new options for meals or dinner unless you venture outside of the resort! We were confronted with the facilities always running out of what we were wanting, I couldn’t even order a soda water at the lobby bar! The private beach was a little disappointing, we arrived to a very small beach, broken down beach chairs etc and not a place you can order lunch. The resort pool is the best place to swim, and is actually very well maintained! The Sakala Beach Club is a nice facility but once again as mentioned above no new food options and sometimes they have run out of certain selections! The spa facility is lovely, though I paid for 2 x 45 minute treatments and only received an hour. The staff though were lovely

The hotel and the room itself were okay. The problem was the beach. The beach is really not suitable for swimming – it is very dirty. It’s a public beach, and on both sides there are water sports facilities. There are stray dogs everywhere, and you don’t feel safe at all. On top of that, the swimming pool was also very dirty and not properly cleaned. Furthermore, the restaurant and the staff at the poolside restaurant seemed completely overwhelmed. It took them a very long time to come, and the portions were so small that you would have to order two dishes right away.

We had a lovely stay at the Sakala - rooms were very clean, choice and food at restaurants was great, including the very extensive breakfast buffet! The basement rooms do have dehumidifiers in and can smell a bit damp, which was fine for a few days stay but may be worth upgrading for longer. Staff were all super attentive and friendly - would recommend to others!!

We enjoyed the Buffet breakfast and beach bar. We enjoyed spending time at the beach club. We liked the room and its overall size and design. Our tv had very poor reception and was difficult to operate and access the stations. During a degustation Indonesian dinner we were given an Arak cocktail. Both my partner and I felt sick very shortly after having a few sips of the cocktail so we did not contiue drinking it. My partner very quickly started to feel very unwell and we left to return to our room befor eth eend of the meal. My partner became violently sick and nautious, vomitting throughout the night, resulting in a doctor and nursaes called to the room to provide IV antibiotics and other treatments. The doctor said we probably had a bad reaction to Arak as we had never had it before and our systems could not tolerate it at even the smallest amount. Our last day at the hotel was not so good as my partner still felt drained, tired and a little unwell. Unfortunately, it meant that our final 24 hours at the hotel was a very challenging time. We do not feel that the hotel should provide Arak to people eho have never had it before as they may have a similar reaction to the two of us.

The location and vicinity to beach was awesome. However we found glass in morning breakfast and also got food poisoning from it. When complained about it they just nodded along and definitely took precautions. but didnt refund even our breakfast fees or provide any other complimentary service.

Overall the property was clean and good. Due to open space, mosquitoes was an issue. Breakfast was excellent and what we requested was provided without any hesitation. Dinner was a bit of an issue as limited menu for the vegetarians. The chef was very helpful and managed to make special dishes for us.

Wonderful hotel and excellent staff. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay, after traveling to more than 30+ countries and experiencing so many hotels, I must say Sakala is now on my top 3 favourite. The services they offer are excellent, all restaurants they own are of great quality and delicious food, the property is beautiful, the room was fantastic, and the staff super friendly and helpful. The live music and shows by the beach bar are also nice. The manager Nany was kind and helpful all the way and we felt so taken care of! We recommend this horel and hope to come back 😊

An absolutely wonderful stay with truly exceptional service. The staff have been incredibly kind, attentive and helpful throughout our entire stay, but today they really went above and beyond. They kindly allowed us a late check-out and even called our room to ask if we needed any food or drinks brought up to us. It’s those thoughtful little gestures that make such a big difference and make you feel genuinely cared for as a guest. We couldn’t have asked for better service. Pool was so heavily chlorinated in the villa I couldnt put my head under water and I regularly swim so am used to chemicals. Also lots of annoying bits in villa, plug in bath didnt work and it took two attempts to get it fixed. The shower then couldnt be turned past a point. And we ended up plugging the microwave in the bedroom because the sockets in kitchen didnt work but we didnt want maintenance out as we had already had the coffee machine fixed. Breakfast was great Kids loved kids club and the staff everywhere were very kind. Pool and cocktails were great.
