Stunning location!! I'm used to going to beach front resorts and even though this has beach cabanas (which are stunning! Worth the upgrade) the lagoon and cenote along with the biking path and groves is magical. You feel like you're on a private resort!! Only two restaurants which switch days they are open and one bar which is still enough to get any beverage you want and leaves you full. I recommend sticking to local dishes and the seafood (the sushi is amazing!). It was renovated years ago so if you look too closely you'll find wear and tear but there are constantly people working on the grounds improving everything. The spa is gorgeous and relaxing. Honestly I felt like a celebrity and I would like to come back!

This property is promoted as a 5 Star Luxury Resort but really is not! Might have been 10 plus years ago but very run down and in some cases unsafe, decking and railings are ready to break and met another couple who actually fell through railing when looking at alligators below. Feels like it’s been abandoned and reopened without any repair or investment going into the property. Mice droppings in room and when mentioned told property is surrounded by jungle and animals so to be expected!! Only one restaurant open some days, very long walk or golf cart ride to beach and small pool or restaurant to eat anything. Room keys constantly stop working and require multiple in-convent trips to front desk to yet get another card that will not work, door scanners need replacing.. bell hops and waiting staff are wonderful and try to make up for shortcomings but property management poor and no investment on keeping it at a acceptable standard. Sewage smell, lobby advertised as having a cafe with light breakfast items, always empty no food to be had!! Paid for a spa experience in forest area with abandoned structures with toilet without a seat that didn’t flush and shower hardly working, lockers with lizards in them,.We chose this resort because photos represented beach as large and beautiful witch maybe at one time it was, worst by far on 3 mile stretch walked no upkeep going on, it was rated 5 stars and luxury, however a stretch to class it as a 3 star in my opinion. I’m happy overall. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were excellent and were pretty consistent overall. We had a few slow meals and there were some minor aesethetic issues but overall a great experience. Most elements of the spa weren’t working- steam room wasn’t hot, hot tub wasn’t hot, sauna also didn’t heat well. The gym area was very good and allowed for a nice morning workout. The upkeep on the vegetation and trees was impeccable. During weekdays there was a lot of noise near the beachside area, but once inside it was largely drowned out. Again- overall this was a good experience and for what you get a solid value.

If you are looking for a relaxed time this is the place. It is not a party resort, it's a slow paced small quiet resort. And that was what we needed so glad we found it. The pool being not heated is shame. The bikes are really rough to get around on. But the spa area is great and you can use the majority of it included in our costs. Room was really nice, but some of the property is showing age.

The resort has so much potential. Pros: Food is very good and plated meals were nice. Most meals take over an hour to finish. Two restaurants were open most nights. Aguamarine is open every night and the Ambar was open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. You can swim in the cenote everyday just have to sign up. Snorkeling happens Monday Wednesday and Friday at 230. Be warned there is no dock so you will walk to the boat in the water, bring a towel. There is a civiche class and Spanish class once a week. Beach is beautiful and is well maintained. Very quiet and relaxing. Large beautiful rooms, we had hot water but some guests did complain of cold water. Plunge pool is filled for free just give them 24 hours notice but it is cold water. The jungle theme was unique with a lot of different wildlife to see. It can be a con if looking for a more Caribbean style beach vibe vacation. Cons: A new resort is being built next door so you will hear loud construction equipment and sometimes the smell of diesel for several hours. Not within their control but something to be aware of. The facilities are in desperate need of a makeover everything is very tired. One pool, not heated. Very very quiet. Cigar lounge, M-bar are closed. Many areas not in service and the entrance is very lack lustre. There is a TV in the room but it didn't work and a telephone but that also didn't work. The cleaning staff are different then the staff that will refill the mini bar in the room.

This property is great if you are looking to disconnect. The place is quiet and feels very inserted in nature. The staff is probably the best staff you are going to get anywhere. They are very cordial and cater to what you need. The main issue that we had is that the facilities are not being maintained as they should. They are decaying fast. On our first night the AC wasn't working so that took the first and second day to get us transferred to another room where the AC was better. The transportation around property is heavily dependent on Golf carts and there are not that many. So we love to use the bikes. The issue there again is that there are not that many bikes. and the ones that are there are in no good condition. We had to express our frustration and then we got bikes assigned to us. There is no peer, no kayaks either. The food is great and again the staff is supper.

Property is not maintained. Paint and wood peeling in pool area bathrooms. Property has poor lighting in common areas. Sidewalk and drive path for golf carts share the same space which is unsafe for guests to walk at night and in the day.

Loved this resort, small and not over crowded. The staff are AMAZING! Super friendly , kind, go out of their way to make you feel good! The sommelier Jesus was great, Eduardo and Jenny and Maria were all amazing at each meal. The spa was quite nice amenity and the gym was nice as well. I would give this resort a 9/10 only because the resort needs to spend some time and attention on the upkeep of the property. It’s needs some TLC. Steps were loose, lights were popping out of casings, railings were missing and things could use a coat of paint. It’s sad as everything else is amazing but they seem not to spend money on upkeep. All that said i absolutely would stay again as the food and staff were really good and I liked the smallness of the resort. It never felt overrun!

Beautiful, serene setting, with great rooms and service. Adults only. Bring some cash to tip, as tips are absolutely earned. The beach was sea-weedy, but the water, in general, was clean. You really can’t go wrong with the Blue Diamond, for those who need to relax, unwind, and not party.

The property is beautifully designed and well maintained, with stunning architecture and a serene layout. The trade staff were professional and helpful, and the sommelier was by far the best part of the dining experience—offering thoughtful wine pairings that stood out. Unfortunately, the food itself was very disappointing: the chicken was dry, and the pasta and risotto were consistently overcooked and lacked flavor. The beach was also a letdown—dirty, poorly maintained, and to our shock, there was a chair with what appeared to be blood on it that remained untouched for several days despite staff passing by. It was also difficult to find snacks outside of dining hours, and the lobby offered very limited options. Many staff members seemed overworked and tired, which affected the overall service. While the setting and design were exceptional, serious issues with cleanliness, food quality, and staff support made the stay feel far below expectations.

This was a huge disappointment . False advertising as it is no where near a 5 star. The beach is pretty much inaccessible because of mounds of seaweed. The stench is the worst. It smells like sewage. Many many complaints. There was not a lot of happy guests. The staff made our stay tolerable.

The Blue Diamond is a gorgeous retreat. We stayed in a Patio Junior Suite and it was very comfortable. It was also incredibly private. The whole resort, in fact, is extraordinarily private. You arrive to the front lobby, which resembles a shrine. From the time we arrived, to getting checked-in, to walking the long path to dinner, it took us over 2 hours to see any other guests! The images online don't make the layout clear. The lobby is about 1.5 kilometres from the beach. The Jr Patio Suite are about halfway, so a good 750m to walk in the morning. It is a gorgeous walk. The grounds are immaculate, lush, well-groomed and maintained, with occasional animal highlights (tajones, iguana, caiman, etc). We loved the privacy, and it often felt like we had the resort entirely to ourselves. There are two beautiful pools above the beach. In our time there, we never saw a single person use the pools. We also saw only a couple of couples brave the wavey water. The wind was very high every day, and the seaweed was intense. They worked hard to clear it (by hand, they don't have any beach grooming machines, but they were overwhelmed. The pools were kept cold, which is fine, but the cold with the heavy wind made them unusable. The food was exceptional. We went as a vegetarian and a vegan. The vegetarian had excellent options at almost every meal. The vegan had fewer options. Breakfasts and lunches were real highlights for both of us, but main courses got pretty bland.

Pros: Food is amazing!! Property feels safe, tranquil and very relaxing. Cenote room is private and very unique. Grounds are fun to walk and well taken care of. The spa was nice even if you don’t pay for a treatment. Cons: Room could’ve been cleaner. No dinning options with A/C. Facilities are showing age. Beach not good; rocks hiding underwater. Gift shop wants $37 dollars for a normal sized sunscreen. I went across the street and got two for $34.

Compared to our last trip ten years ago, the beach has completely deteriorated. The dock gazebo was destroyed/gone. Maintenance needed on the decking and railings near pool. We rarely saw staff cleaning the pool area so we picked up after ourselves. Other than the beach combing workers who worked extremely hard to remove the seaweed everyday, the resort staff members worked very slowly. The rooms were exactly the same, well kept. The food was AMAZING as we expected.

The rooms are spacious and the foliage and wildlife are awesome. They have great food and service and it is clean. You can tell it is older and has taken damage from hurricanes so main buildings will need repair soon.

We checked in and they told us the air conditioning was broken but it would be fixed in a few hours. Nothing got fixed. The entire resort had no air conditioning. The room was 40 degrees Celsius all night and we couldn’t sleep. Called the resort in the morning and they said that the air conditioning was going to be fixed in a few hours again. We went for break fast, and the other guests were saying not to trust them, so we checked out and booked another resort. Food wasn’t good either. When I asked for a refund through Expedia they lied to Expedia and said the air conditioning was working when it wasn’t.

This hotel is a gem and I wished my family and I had more than 5 days to stay. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are beautiful (ours had a patio pool and double showers in the bathrooms), the spa facilities are really worth mentioning (any guest can use them regardless of whether you are getting treatments or not), and food was delicious. There are plenty of bikes to use on the property so we loved cycling between our rooms and the beachfront pool and restaurants. It was truly relaxing and I can’t wait to go back.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the blue diamond!! We loved how much nature there was to look at during our morning walks or bikes around the property. It was a quiet and relaxing retreat with my partner- from the included snorkeling, days on the beach, lounging by the pool, swims in the on resort cenote, cocktail class and eating the delicious food! The food was really good, above the normal resort quality. All food was made to order and they were very careful about allergies and any alterations. We really liked how much fresh fish was on the menu!! I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone that wants to eat delicious food and drinks & have a relaxing time!!! We stayed in the lagoon junior suites. The rooms were nice and spacious, with a massive bathroom, bedroom and secluded plunge pool. It looks just like the pictures!! The plunge pool was a good temperature after a hot day. We also like hanging out on our lagoon patio playing cards and looking for animals. Our air conditioning worked and kept our bedroom at about 22C. No issues there. The staff were very friendly from the minute we got there. The front desk was really accommodating! We liked biking in the morning to the lobby to have an espresso and feed the fish. Most of the staff worked for a few years and worked daily. It was nice to get to know all the staff by the end, most notably Gustavo, Jenny, Zara, and Rubin. We can’t recommend the blue diamond enough! We truly had a wonderful time!

I could not say enough about the staff and service at Blue Diamond. Everyone, from the front desk, to house keeping, to waiters, to even the grounds crew, always a smile, asking if you needed anything, any request was taken care of and taken care of quickly. The grounds are very well maintained. This is not a party place and that was exactly what we were looking for. Relaxing, quiet, very private feel. The rooms and all buildings do need some upgrading, but they are working on it and I’m sure a lot of resorts are, recovering from covid. The only true complaint we could honestly have was that our bed was a little too hard for our liking, but we are used to a tempurpedic. Even with that, would not hesitate recommending to anyone we know

If I really have to call out something as an area of opportunity to improve on would be to have the rooms AC system looked at. The Junior suite we stayed at (Room # 352) did not have cooling at all, We had to request for technician who came in and inspected the unit and decided to fill AC refrigerant, Once it was refilled, AC working well for that night and then the cooling died off. Considering how hot it gets in Cancun, AC should be as cool as possible for a Hotel of this status quo! Kindly look into this part alone.

Was expecting a 5 star resort experience as advertised but it turned into an unexpectedly stressful stay. We stayed for 6 nights and ended up staying in 3 different rooms due to broken AC. Every day the staff would assure us that the next day it would be fixed. Our last 2 nights the temps were over 85*F in the room and it was almost impossible to sleep. We had issues with plumbing in multiple bathrooms around the resort and there is a smell of sewer around the property. The private plunge pools are not filled unless you specifically request it. We had to ask them to fill the pool at least 3 times as it kept draining before we could use it. They use rags to plug the drain. This resort has so much potential but it seems that there has been no upkeep for the facilities for at least 10 years. We were extremely mislead by the high numbers of positive reviews which specifically do not match our experience. The only saving grace is the friendly staff (Eduardo and Raul were great) and the good food. Also the grounds are quite beautiful and we saw a lot of cool wildlife. Unfortunately the beach is very small and we encountered quite a bit of trash and debris in the water. The condition of the facilities and the lack of AC are the main reasons we will not return or recommend this resort. Spend your money somewhere else that actually invests in their property, staff and guests.

Pros: I would like to highlight that the food was exceptional—delicious and well-prepared. We were served restaurant-quality meals three times a day, expertly crafted by the chef. Five stars to the chef! The room was spacious, featuring a walk-in closet and a large bathroom. We had the unique opportunity to observe crocodiles in their natural habitat while feeling completely safe. Cons: The main reason I would hesitate to return to this resort is the limited availability of umbrellas at both the beach and pool areas—only five in total. This made it difficult to find adequate shade. The temperature in our room did not go below 25°C, making it uncomfortable for sleeping. Despite reporting the issue three times, and staff attempting to address it, there was no improvement. The lack of air circulation made the room uncomfortably warm. On the night of our arrival (Saturday), we realized we had forgotten a hairbrush. When we visited the shop in the lobby on Sunday, we found it closed for the day. A receptionist kindly asked if we needed assistance, and after explaining our situation, she assured us that a maid would provide a brush, as it was typically included in the room amenities. Unfortunately, we never received it. The following day (Monday), we checked the shop again, but they did not carry any brushes or combs. When we asked the concierge if a staff member could purchase one for us on their way to work, we were informed that employees do not leave the resort premises.

We had a great time at blue diamond. The room and the grounds were very clean. The meals were amazing. The service from the staff at the restaurants and bar was great. We would consider going back someday. What could be improved is some sort of communication about what type of entertainment was going on through the week, we never knew what events were happening. There was also no snacks in the room for late night or menu for in room that said what was available for in room dining and at what times it was available. There are small things that could use improvement to up the service, but overall a great resort to relax and enjoy nature, and time at the beach.

Beautiful property. Communication was awful. We weren\'t told that the cenote swim had to be reserved prior to arrival, so we weren\'t allowed to experience it. Bellhop said if we asked for our outdoor tub to be filled, someone would come fill it. When we requested this, we were told we were too late because it had to be ordered 24 hours in advance. How would we know this? We asked for bottles of water several times. Was always promised right away but never came. The property is VERY spread out. This is difficult for some people. We were told we could get around easily in a cart or the "plentiful" bikes, but when we tried to come back from dinner there were no bikes available and carts were all tied up bringing in new guests. There were many upset guests who had to walk back to their rooms. Many bikes had faulty handlebars.Free dinner also had to be reserved in advance. Dinner service was slow. 30 min. to get drink. Two hours to get dinner and it was the wrong item. Room key stopped working twice. Bell service did not deliver one of our luggage pieces to the room. I called lost and found repeatedly but they said it was not found. The bellhop said he remembered seeing it in the storage room after our luggage had been delivered. I asked to be compensated for the lost item, and the front desk person said bellhop\'s word wasn\'t proof the item was lost and implied that I was mistaken. It was finally found in another staff area. Our taxi waited 30 minutes while we got it resolved.

Had a wonderful week here. The staff, the food, the beautiful grounds…everything was lovely. The buildings are weathered some by the humidity and hurricanes, but kept impeccably clean. Every need we had was tended to quickly and graciously. We will definitely return!

The property is nice. Small. Not a lot of food options for all inclusive. The staff was very friendly. However they did not communicate well. If they were there in front of you they would do anything. If you tried to call the front desk and order anything like carts food umbrellas taxis etc you had to follow up several times. I would probably not stay here again for this reason. Nice spacious rooms. But attention to detail from staff primarily front of house was severely lacking.

I would probably not stay here again for this reason. Nice spacious rooms. But attention to detail from staff primarily front of house was severely lacking.

The property is beautifully designed and well maintained, with stunning architecture and a serene layout. The trade staff were professional and helpful, and the sommelier was by far the best part of the dining experience—offering thoughtful wine pairings that stood out. Unfortunately, the food itself was very disappointing: the chicken was dry, and the pasta and risotto were consistently overcooked and lacked flavor. The beach was also a letdown—dirty, poorly maintained, and to our shock, there was a chair with what appeared to be blood on it that remained untouched for several days despite staff passing by. It was also difficult to find snacks outside of dining hours, and the lobby offered very limited options. Many staff members seemed overworked and tired, which affected the overall service. While the setting and design were exceptional, serious issues with cleanliness, food quality, and staff support made the stay feel far below expectations.

My partner and I just wrapped a week long visit of the Blue Diamond Resort. It was perfect! The property is stunning, with loads of natural scenery and wildlife and the staff are truly exceptional. It is not even a stretch to say that we experienced the best service we have ever had while on vacation. Everyone takes great pride in making you feel welcome and comfortable while you are there. Many thanks to everyone we met while at BD—Jose, Carlos I, Jenny, Luis Pat, Eliseo, Diana, Florintino, Edwardo and so many more you are the best!

We absolutely loved this vacation. Everyone was wonderful from the moment we stepped out of our taxi. Juan Carlos greeted us with a warm smile and was so helpful with our bags and a lovely welcoming beverage of fresh juices. Reception, who we reached out to prior to arrival went way above our expectations ❤️. They were instrumental in setting up the rest of our stay and we will be forever grateful. Jose, our butler and go to for all things was awesome!!! The food was fresh, healthy and with a variety of offerings that we rarely had the same thing twice. Fresh juices and sushi at Aquamarine with the BEST waitstaff - Francisco, Maria, Exmina and Eduardo greeted us everyday. Ceviche Restaurant was yummy too. Ambar was the just incredible (Spare Ribs -Delicious!!). Thank you to all the drivers Fernando, Moses. Snorkeling, Cocoa Ceremony, trip into Dtn. Playa, We had the best Anniversary yet❤️❤️❤️

Customer service on ten! Xavier, Abril, Fernando and Francisco and the rest of the staff are amazing! Room was extremely clean. They have 3 restaurants but Amber was delicious but to be honest I was sad it was only open for two days because the other restaurant was just okay

I had a horrible experience when I, after 21 hours trip. The concierge was arrogant and unfriendly, having ,e to sign a lot of paper just saying :Sign there. But the worst came when he insisted that I should pay the whole amount for my stay I had problems with my Amex so he ordered me to phone my bank in Sweden (the time there would be 5 am). I refused and asked if it could wait until the following day. He refused. So he let me go to bed after paying half of the bill, with a credit card how actually is connected to my wife. Finally I got to my room. The following morning when I was ordered to go to reception to pay the remaining part it showed that the costs were pre-paid.I can't get rid of a bad feeling that the insistency of the concierge had some special purpose. Extremely sad since I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. But the reception overshadowed the rest, unfortunately

Stunning location!! I'm used to going to beach front resorts and even though this has beach cabanas (which are stunning! Worth the upgrade) the lagoon and cenote along with the biking path and groves is magical. You feel like you're on a private resort!! Only two restaurants which switch days they are open and one bar which is still enough to get any beverage you want and leaves you full. I recommend sticking to local dishes and the seafood (the sushi is amazing!). It was renovated years ago so if you look too closely you'll find wear and tear but there are constantly people working on the grounds improving everything. The spa is gorgeous and relaxing. Honestly I felt like a celebrity and I would like to come back!

We loved everything about this resort. We were surprised upon arrival to receive a room upgrade to an oceanfront casita! It was beautiful and we could walk right off of our patio onto the beach. The room was luxurious. We loved the rooftop infinity pool. Our butler, Israel, was very helpful arranging spa appointments and other on-site activities. Pool bartenders, Damian and Gustavo, kept the drinks flowing poolside. We really enjoyed our tequila tasting experience with David. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. The food at the resort was good - like with all restaurants, there were things we liked more and things we liked less, but good overall. We really loved the ceviche that could be ordered poolside. If we could change one thing about the Blue Diamond, we would add a feature to be able to heat the outdoor plunge pool. The water was ok during the day, but too cold for us in the evening. Something to note, the distance is long from the lobby to the beach. There are golf carts and bikes available for transport, but maybe keep in mind when choosing your room.

Blue Diamond is a safe and quiet place to relax and unwind. A la Carr food is delicious; the staff is friendly and accommodating. The beach is kept very clean and the water is inviting. Nice infinity pool too. No kids no casino no disco. Just what I needed!

This resort is the perfect quiet, adults only place for us. We were a group of 5 who agreed that the villa style accommodations with private backyard lounging spaces, are so peaceful. The resort is built lengthwise (1 mile deep) into a mangrove forest with a river and cenote. Golf carts were always passing by on the 1 mile walk from concierge to ocean, and free bicycles were always parked along the walk, so we had options for getting back and forth. The food was delicious. Portions were small but unlimited and that let us choose many flavours. There are also 3 pools- 1 with an ocean view and 2 by the spa. Meals were sitdown and typically took about 1.5-2 hours. The only things I'd add to this place are a buffet, at least for breakfast, and more water bottle refills in the rooms. Our group of 5 is well travelled, with about 6 all inclusive stays among us prior to Blue Diamond, and we agree that BD is our favourite.

The Blue Diamond is a gorgeous retreat. We stayed in a Patio Junior Suite and it was very comfortable. It was also incredibly private. The whole resort, in fact, is extraordinarily private. You arrive to the front lobby, which resembles a shrine. From the time we arrived, to getting checked-in, to walking the long path to dinner, it took us over 2 hours to see any other guests! The images online don't make the layout clear. The lobby is about 1.5 kilometres from the beach. The Jr Patio Suite are about halfway, so a good 750m to walk in the morning. It is a gorgeous walk. The grounds are immaculate, lush, well-groomed and maintained, with occasional animal highlights (tajones, iguana, caiman, etc). We loved the privacy, and it often felt like we had the resort entirely to ourselves. There are two beautiful pools above the beach. In our time there, we never saw a single person use the pools. We also saw only a couple of couples brave the wavey water. The wind was very high every day, and the seaweed was intense. They worked hard to clear it (by hand, they don't have any beach grooming machines, but they were overwhelmed. The pools were kept cold, which is fine, but the cold with the heavy wind made them unusable. The food was exceptional. We went as a vegetarian and a vegan. The vegetarian had excellent options at almost every meal. The vegan had fewer options. Breakfasts and lunches were real highlights for both of us, but main courses got pretty bland.

We rarely saw staff cleaning the pool area so we picked up after ourselves. Other than the beach combing workers who worked extremely hard to remove the seaweed everyday, the resort staff members worked very slowly. The rooms were exactly the same, well kept. The food was AMAZING as we expected.

Stayed for 4 nights at the end of January. Pros: Very clean beach (seaweed is being removed constantly), white sand, warm water even in January Food was actually very good, way better than at other all inclusive resorts I’ve been. Only 2 restaurants but for 4 nights it was plenty. Gorgeous grounds with a bunch of wild animals, but not too much, we were not disturbed by them This is not a party resort, most of the people there are retired couples. Cons: The only decently size pool is only 4 ft deep Only one bar, open till 1 am. Good liquor though We were asking for a second blanket for 2 days, calling multiple times a day. We were originally supposed to stay in the room with 2 beds but there was none available when we arrived, despite me specifically booking it. I even wrote a note in Spanish for housekeeping and left $5, asking for a second blanket. Well, they took the money but the blanket never came. Had to call to fix the hot water the first day, though they did come pretty fast Casita smelled like mold but that is something I found to be true for every resort in area. The only alcohol in the room is cheap beer, room service doesn’t have any They charge $20 for room service. The food was absolutely gross. Which is weird because food in the restaurants was quite good Mexican show during Mexican dinner was horrifying and gave me anxiety. They were performing in between tables, very loud drums and tried to interact with the audience. Neither me or my friend liked it

I had a fabulous stay at this hotel! The food was excellent, and the customer service was truly outstanding. I enjoyed a cocktail class with Juan Pablo and a yoga session with Emanuel—both experiences were amazing. All the staff work with their hearts, making every moment feel special. The team here is truly exceptional, and they made my time unforgettable.

The resort has so much potential. Pros: Food is very good and plated meals were nice. Most meals take over an hour to finish. Two restaurants were open most nights. Aguamarine is open every night and the Ambar was open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. You can swim in the cenote everyday just have to sign up. Snorkeling happens Monday Wednesday and Friday at 230. Be warned there is no dock so you will walk to the boat in the water, bring a towel. There is a civiche class and Spanish class once a week. Beach is beautiful and is well maintained. Very quiet and relaxing. Large beautiful rooms, we had hot water but some guests did complain of cold water. Plunge pool is filled for free just give them 24 hours notice but it is cold water. The jungle theme was unique with a lot of different wildlife to see. It can be a con if looking for a more Caribbean style beach vibe vacation. Cons: A new resort is being built next door so you will hear loud construction equipment and sometimes the smell of diesel for several hours. Not within their control but something to be aware of. The facilities are in desperate need of a makeover everything is very tired. One pool, not heated. Very very quiet. Cigar lounge, M-bar are closed. Many areas not in service and the entrance is very lack lustre. There is a TV in the room but it didn't work and a telephone but that also didn't work. While the setting and design were exceptional, serious issues with cleanliness, food quality, and staff support made the stay feel far below expectations.

The trade staff were professional and helpful, and the sommelier was by far the best part of the dining experience—offering thoughtful wine pairings that stood out. The property is beautiful and staff and very kind. There is tons of nature and creatures around. What they don’t tell you until you arrive- is that every time you order room service there is a 20 USD charge. That means if you order room service 2-3 x a day for 1 week, you are looking at 140-210 USD at a resort claiming to be all-inclusive. The room service menu is very limited as well.

All I can say is that I have no idea how this resort had rated so highly. Not sure where to start. Inedible food, a front desk that claimed they had no stomach medicine, nor did they know where to get any. Seriously? They seemed to be unaware they had a small store on site 10 feet from the front desk and a pharmacy outside their gate about 50 ft away. I’ve traveled to Mexico many many times, as well as most of S America, and my girlfriend is born and raised in MX. So issues with a language barrier. In any event, I could go on but not worth the energy. My first and last stay here. Ever. Personally, I would avoid like the plague.

Customer service on ten! Xavier, Abril, Fernando and Francisco and the rest of the staff are amazing! Room was extremely clean. They have 3 restaurants but Amber was delicious but to be honest I was sad it was only open for two days because the other restaurant was just okay

My husband and I take trips to the Caribbean once a year. We typically don't consider going to the same place twice. However, our stay at the Blue Diamond has made us rethink that decision. The customer service, facility, and food were amazing. The food always tasted so fresh and the Mexican dishes were particularly fantastic. Our experience is definitely a memory we won't soon forget. This was hands down one of our best travel experiences.

Great property, amazing food, decent service.. after that downhill....We reserved the pool level suite, great room with amazing wildlife moving through it. Peaceful and serene! Bed on interior matched a sheet of plywood in comfort. A bike was used on property, when you could find one.. Property has amazing scenery, room service is an upcharge, couldnt find ice... oh well. Would stay here again for the food and scenery in same villa.. not for the service.
