Pacific Crest Hotel Santa Barbara

Really wonderful property form the price. My room needed some repairs and updating, but the pool was heated and the person at the front desk was friendly. The property itself is very well kept and a stone's throw from the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

We’re it not for the construction and remodeling going on next to our room I would rate it 5 stars! The location only a couple of blocks from the beach and within walking distance to The Funk Zone was excellent. I would definitely come back one construction is over with.

Easy parking and very walkable!

The Tesla destination charger was a great perk.

There's a light on the air conditioning unit to show the temperature that lights up the entire room. Very distracting while trying to sleepAlso, you could use some more hooks in the bathroom, but otherwise it was great. Staff was nice. Location was wonderful. Pool was enjoyable.

Friendly, helpful staff and just one or two minutes walk to the beach. We didn’t try the pool, but it looked inviting. I’m sure this property began it life as a motel, but it has been thoughtfully updated with pleasant furnishings and features. Wi-Fi worked well enough for us to stream a movie (although my son said Wi-Fi was weak in his room). There are even two EV charging stations. Our rooms were squeaky clean and reasonably sized for a quick weekend getaway. I appreciated the coffeemaker and tea kettle. The bathrooms were quite small but everything worked perfectly, with the shower doors being the only giveaway to the past life as a motel!

Needed to wear shoes in the room as the floor was dirty. No pool as it was being renovated but we were not told this at any point. Workman still using power tools until almost 2am with the radio playing right outside our room. No fridge, no safe. We paid £240 just for one night. It was a complete rip off.

We had a great time at the Pacific Crest. Great location, walkable to beach, park and State street. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was great. The kids loved the pool too.

Updates completed are nice, but stil needs a bit more work. Faucet in our room was plumbed backwards, hairdryer blew cold air only, shower door needs deep cleaning due to mildew on caulking, and toilet needs work to fully flush. TV is tiny and the dish network has spotty service. However. Great location close to the beach and a nice walk to all the shops and restaurants on State St.

Very clean, close to the beach, affordable

A very nice basic hotel. Pretty pool and a spotless facility. Rooms are small but totally workable. Super clean. The Internet isn’t the best but fine for a vacation trip. Neighborhood is very quiet and a short walk to the entertainment and restaurant district. Good for people who like a good buy and can forgive little things like spotty internet.

The room was clean and lovely. Great location, walking distance to the zoo and beach. Happy with self-parking. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast basket you can take back to your room. Would consider the stay again.

The room and bed was ok. No dinning room or breakfast except self serve coffee and cup cake. Very noisy. Good room but bathroom was moldy. Never stay here again

Well I tried to like the property since it’s close to the beach. But there are THREE main things I noticed about our stay: 1.) there was a dead insect on the floor next to the bed. 2.) the kitchen floor was sticky 3.) the housekeeping staff only cleaned the room once during our stay ( we never left the “do not disturb” sign on the doorknob.) I figured oh well, they are probably busy, seeing as it’s a beach town. But what really bothered me is that the housekeeping staff is actually right outside my room, with their cart parked nearby— and they’re always in their cellphone.

We had a great stay, clean and easy!

The room was dirty - there was so much dust in the “walk in” closet, it tuned black, not when was the last time they mopped the floors but you could see footprints from before on the floor. The floor was so cheaply installed that it was making the loudest noise when you walk around with or without shoes on but you had to have something on because the floors were dirty. The pillows looked someone just stuffed things in there to make pillows. There was no refrigerator in the room and I had throw away so much stuff I got from the store because I could Not chill over night. Room 20 has the worst view by the way. The TV was too small for the room. The WiFi is terrible. It takes forever to connect and when you do is slow. I would NOT recommend it at all. For that money you could stay anywhere else.

Everything you’d need for a short stay with so many nice touches. Immaculate!

We are locals who wanted a staycation that wouldn't bust our budget. This place is in a great location, only a block from the beach, and a lot cheaper than the beach facing hotels. Yes, the room was tiny, with few amenities (but had a mini fridge and coffee maker) but super clean and quiet with ample parking. Just note that it is right next to another hotel and go to the correct check in office! It doesn't look like much from the street but we consider it a hidden gem we will recommend to our budget conscious friends.

It is a great property at an excellent location! Our room is spacious and clean. We enjoyed walking to the beach and taco's nearby. We appreciated very much that there is a Tesla charging plug available in the parking lot. The only reason that prevents us from giving a 5 stars rating is our room wifi is very bad! It is so hard to get on and so easy to be dropped! It is quite an experience to stay in your room without wifi service as our T-mobile phone happens to have little signal as well. Our room number was 14.

Such an amazing location. Directly across from East Beach. Room was large with high ceilings, decent sized kitchen. Smaller bathroom and a few small areas needing some repair but still a great value. Would book again!

I got a suite and there was NO internet and NO phone signal. When I complained they said their internet simply didn't reach that far and suggested I used the WiFi of the Motel 6 next door (which wasn't great either). My suite had a kitchen with ZERO utensils, plates, pans, etc. What's the point? Unbelievable. It wasn't cheap either.

The location is excellent with good parking. Our room (Standard) had an awkward layout. The Closet area had a locked door that opened to the next room. You could hear conversations and I'm sure they heard ours.

We loved the deck off our room. Loved the bed an the colors of the room. A small microwave would be nice a softer towels. Overall great ocean view, love the upper deck!

There is no sound insolation on the walls so you can hear everything around you. You can hear guests walking on the second level loudly and even conversations next door.

I’m so disappointed in this property and can’t believe I paid almost $400 to stay here for one night. They literally did not have normal pillows on the beds. They were small squares and the beds themselves were extremely uncomfortable. The property pictures were much more flattering than the actual hotel itself. I would not recommend this hotel!

The rooms are clean, property is in a nice location and free parking was a plus. If you aren't planning on spending a lot of time at a hotel then it would be okay. However, our shower water didn't get hot, just lukewarm. Also, two days before our stay we were told we could have late check out at 3pm for $25. Then one day before I was told it was $50 to check out at 12pm (just one hour after check out). I asked why it changed from $25 to $50 and they said they would let us check out at the 3pm for $25. Then the day of our check out, we were told 12pm was the latest check out. We just left at 11am, because we were tired of the incorrect information being given to us.

The staff Denise, Esmeralda and Jamie are wonderful. Very courteous, kind and helpful. The room was clean and my stay was amazing. Enjoyed walks on the beach, walk to the warf is about 20-25 mins., so many wonderful restaurant choices.

I booked this Hotel for my daughter and her boyfriend to have a night in Santa Barbara. They loved the location, said the staff was wonderful and rooms were very clean. They were very happy with this hotel!

Staff were super friendly and accommodating of any requests. The cleanliness was above standards and they service the room everyday if you choose. Great pool area and a block from the beach and a nice restaurant. I would have loved having a comfy chair in the room. They are planning on a breakfast room which will be great and providing a bike would be lovely for those of us who take the train. I’ll be back

We booked last minute while visiting daughter at UCSB. Denise at front desk was very kind and helpful. She even helped us plug in our new Tesla overnight. We’ll be back!

We definitely enjoyed the fact that it was so convenient to walk to the beach with our doggy. Room was small but comfortable. We did not however enjoy the fact that we were downstairs. You can hear all the noise coming from upstairs apartment. Check-in was wonderful! Receptionist Naomi was helpful in giving information about the area and even if we wanted to overnight charge our EV. Tuesday morning’s receptionist was also excellent! She was in the middle of baking more muffins so she gave us the yogurt first and told me the time to come back when the muffins will be ready! Wednesday's receptionist was not the best! Not only was she not informative about breakfast items but I felt as if she didn’t understand what I was saying! First I thought she said she had no breakfast then when I asked “so, no yogurt.” She said “oh, we have yogurt.” Same with the muffins. It shouldnt have to be that hard! Then when I asked for a copy of my statement she said since it booked through a third party she couldn’t provide me a statement; I would have to get it from the third party. I have booked through Hotels.com before, and this is the first time I’ve heard that reasoning! Is it correct?

This property does not have anyone on site after 9 PM. Unfortunately, for us on the second night of our stay our air-conditioning started making a noise that was so loud we could no longer stay in the room. It was around 9:30 at night when it started and we waited until around 11 hoping that the noise would resolve. At that point, I called the hotel and just received an answering machine. We had to leave to find someplace else to sleep. When I contacted the hotel the next day, they basically said that we should have called the number that is posted in their office which is closed. That phone number is not listed when you call the hotel phone number nor were we aware that it was posted in the lobby which I knew was closed. We requested a refund for the second night and the front desk attendant agreed that the noise was still occurring and was not reasonable. After phone calls for about a week and a half the best they could offer was pay for one night and the second night free the next time. Since the room was uninhabitable for sleep, and the phone number for the hotel did not redirect to an emergency line. I believe we should have been reimbursed for the second night. I would recommend staying in a hotel that has staff overnight in case you have any issues. The types of air-conditioning these rooms have are the kind that are retrofitted and I guess they probably have issues quite a bit. The noise was so loud you could hear it outside the room three doors down.

Very rude customer service.

We were locked out of our room at 9:45 pm. The after hours emergency number was NOT answering. It took them over 1 hour to return our calls. We didn’t get into our room until after midnight. The whole ordeal took over 2 hours while we’re stranded outside in the cold. The manager was not apologetic or empathetic to us. We were made to feel stupid by her because maybe we weren’t using the key card correctly. None of their 6 master keys worked on the door. This was their issue & NoT our fault. Don’t stay here!

Great location. Couple of blocks to the beach. Walkable to downtown Santa Barbara. Extremely affordable. We will be back.

Great location!

Nice quiet location. Very close to the beach to walk the paths starting at East Beach all the way to State St or the Warf if (about 20-30 mint walk). Dog friendly, so it was great for my family. We had the room with a full kitchen, and we were a short walking distance from the small grocery which was very convenient for thing we forgot. Small but nice warm pool.

We had a wonderful stay at Pacific Crest hotel in Santa Barbara. Our room was clean and comfortable, and all staff members were professional, courteous and friendly. Parking was easy and off-street. This is a great location just a few short blocks from East Beach.

Great location. Not far from beach. Overnight business trip so no chance take full advantage of site. Would stay again.

After reading other reviews, I was a little nervous about picking this hotel. Everything turned out fine. Whatever construction had been happening is finished. We had no water pressure issues. The room was a little worn in spots, but clean and comfortable. The location can't be beat. A two-block walk to the beach and 30 minutes to the wharf. It is in a sweet, quiet neighborhood away from some of the hubbub. Is to get to by car and ample parking on site.

Newly remodeled. Quite small and no closet or lights next to bed for reading. One short walk to the beach.

Very friendly staff, good location for exploring Santa Barbara. Breakfast basket was a nice add on although it is very small.

The hotel was nicely located within walking distance to the beach, dining options and a grocery. The lovely furnished room had a coffee maker with freshly ground coffee and an unbelievable cosy bed. We enjoyed to sit in front of the room for breakfast and in the evening.

everything was ok - check in, check out, stay. Except facts that: 1. there is a lack of sound insulation and we herd drunk people chatting downstairs like next room TV. 2. nobody was present at the reception at 9pm and we had to contact those people ourselves 3. very short breakfast time window

No hospitality at all. I didn’t get same room which I have booked. In the name of breakfast they give cupcake & yogurt. Prices are very high compared to others hotel. I will not recommend this.👎
