Great hotel on Las Canteras beach, smack dab in the middle of the tourist area of Las Palmas. Excellent service, very nice pool area with a great bar, and a wonderful view of the beach (which is also super nice to visit and to swim in the ocean!). The hotel staff was very friendly and we received excellent service all over! Celebrated New Years at the hotel, and it was a blast! Luxury buffet was surprisingly good (well stocked buffet, plus lots of chefs cooking in place), live music during dinner and an amazing afteparty with a great live band, dancing and open poolbar. We and the kids (both 18) loved it!

Das Cristina erstrahlt in neuem Glanz, nach dem es scheinbar einen Betreiberwechsel gegeben hat. Aber. Ich hatte über das Wochenende ein Einzelzimmer gebucht. Erst bekam ich ein Zimmer direkt über der Salsa-Schule, mit entsprechender Lärmentwicklung. Nach meiner Reklamation bekam ich dann ein neues Zimmer, aber, bekommen habe ich ein Interior Zimmer, ohne Fenster, ohne Lüftung. Das Badezimmer stank bei meiner Ankunft ekelhaft. Da Lüften nicht ging, habe ich versucht, die Siphons mit Wasser zu füllen, was nur mäßig Abhilfe geschaffen hat. Bett war ok, Einrichtung war ok, Fernsehgerät habe ich nicht ausprobiert. Positiv ist die _Poollandschaft direkt am Strand mit gigantischem Blick, Barbetrieb und natürlich Terrassenmöblierung. Negativ fiel mir auf, dass das Personal scheinbar keine Ahnung von der EDV des Hotels hat und Schwierigkeiten hat, den Gast einzubuchen. Dieser Vorgang ging über 45 min, obwohl ich im Voraus bezahlt hatte, dies hatte das Personal auch nicht verstanden. Die Arroganz von einzelnen Beschäftigten mal heruntergespielt, muss man sagen, dass das Haus zwar 4 Sterne verdient, aber der Betrieb des Hauses nicht. Beispielsweise verbringt man einen großen Teil seines Urlaubes vor den Aufzügen, die nicht alle drei fahren und darüber hinaus auch zu langsam sind. Bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie geht das nicht. Vielleicht gebe ich der Sache noch eine Chance, aber es gibt günstigere Hotels in der direkten Umgebung.

Hotel Cristina is een leuk hotel op een goede locatie : recht aan zee. Het hotel heeft vriendelijk en efficiënt personeel (hotelverantwoordelijke, conciërges, check-in personeel, poetsvrouwen, restaurant- en bar personeel). Een mooi openluchtzwembad, een sportzaaltje, ‘s avonds vaak een paar uur een goede zanger/zangeres in de bar. Een bushalte vlakbij aan de achterzijde van het hotel. Taxi’s onmiddellijk beschikbaar. Vijfde maal dat we hier - met een vader die ondertussen 92 jaar geworden is - naar hotel Cristina kwamen. Het personeel kent de hoogbejaarde vader en is aardig tegen hem. Het enige wat deze maal tegenviel: toen de kamers gereserveerd werden via hotels.com werd uitdrukkelijk schriftelijk gemeld dat de drie bestelde kamers naast elkaar moesten zijn omwille van het feit dat de hoogbejaarde vader personen in zijn onmiddellijke nabijheid nodig heeft. Bij het inchecken bleken de drie kamers niet naast mekaar te zijn…maar het waren wel mooie relatief recent gewijzigde deluxe kamers op de 3de verdieping. Na de eerste overnachting werden we verhuisd naar de 7de verdieping. Twee kamers waren ditmaal naast mekaar. De derde kamer lag wat verder op die verdieping. Deze 3 kamers waren anders ingericht ( oudere wijze) dan die op de 3de verdieping. Hopelijk worden bij ons volgend verblijf wél kamers aangeboden die naast elkaar zijn.

Hotel was right on the beach with shops, restaurants and bathing just meters away. Comfort and service were the best. Pool could have been open later than 6 in the evening. Breakfast meal was good with a lot of variations but we had a few minutes of queing and it was a bit noisy. We can recommend hotel Cristina.

Decent hotel right on the beach. Nothing fancy nyt betyder kind personnel. Not Manu sunbeds at the pool. Stayed on the ninth floor and the fitness room was on the tenth floor and the noice was significant.

Great location right on the beach, attentive staff, nice pool area and a pool big enough to actually swim/exercise, great views from the room balconies! I didn’t try and of the food options at the hotel but earlier experience at the samd hotel is that the breakfast is good, except proper bread.

The hotel absolutely doesn’t deserve five stars ! The reception is part of the restaurant. The room is not up to par: absent of bathrobe, bath product, towels are in a terrible state. The household very badly done, the sheets were not changed for three days. The catering is very limited. We regret having chosen this hotel.

Generally it’s a good hotel and deserves 5* despite many travelers say it does not. Yes, the room has old furtinure, but it is still cozy and has a charm. There is stunning views from a balcony, very good breakfast and strong cleaning. What I dislike was mold inside a shower head but I can forgive it.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Las Palmas à l hôtel Cristina. La chambre était grande, récemment rénovée, avec une magnifique vue sur la mer. La propreté était impeccable et le personnel, à la fois sympathique et très efficace, a contribué à rendre notre séjour encore plus agréable. La piscine est très grande et parfaitement entretenue, idéale pour se détendre. Le buffet du petit déjeuner était également très complet et varié. Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel pour des vacances relaxantes et confortables.

The hotel was lovely and clean, pool area lovely, nice view by the sea. The weather was cloudy but still got a nice tan. Great view from the room balcony. Room was lovely, could do with tea/coffee making facilities. Small fridge in the room. Beach bar staff/towel guy were amazing, couldn't do enough for you. Bar meals were delicious and very good value. Stayed many times before and always enjoyed breakfast. This time it had good variety but maybe English breakfast wasn't as good as before. Missed the tortilla. Overall, we had a wonderful time and we will be back.

Me and my elderly mother had a lovely stay at Hotel Cristina. The hotel was modern, clean and fresh with great seating/common areas. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and no noise could be heard from the street. The restaurant had excellent breakfast and we also had dinner there which was above expectation. It was great to go somewhere quiet to eat, especially since the location is in a very busy area. The breakfast had an omelette/egg station where you could order your eggs as you wanted them and they were cooked in front of you. There was a lot of cooked food but also fresh fruit, pastries, cheeses and hams, coffee/ tea and cava if you felt like starting your day that way. But the best part of the stay was the staff. They were really attentive, helpful, friendly and just fun people to speak to. It made our stay really memorable. Muchas gracias!

Lovely 2 day stay. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The hotel was spotless and very modern in design with a .superb position overlooking the beach. Food was fresh and plenty of choice both for breakfast and dinner. Swimming pool area was very well maintained with very efficient staff.

Service every where was excellent, cleaning was great, but the rooms are not 5 star rooms at all, a lot of thing are missing to be a 5 star room, everything is a little outdated, and there are 4 star hotels near by with much better comfort and equipment's in the rooms

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Las Palmas à l hôtel Cristina. La chambre était grande, récemment rénovée, avec une magnifique vue sur la mer. La propreté était impeccable et le personnel, à la fois sympathique et très efficace, a contribué à rendre notre séjour encore plus agréable. La piscine est très grande et parfaitement entretenue, idéale pour se détendre. Le buffet du petit déjeuner était également très complet et varié. Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel pour des vacances relaxantes et confortables.

I spent 11 days at Hotel Christina in Tigotan. My understanding was that I had booked a sea view room; however, the view was of a port across a busy and noisy dual carriageway. The noise was excessive, and the view was poor, so I did not spend any time on the balcony. My husband and I asked on three separate occasions if we could move to a room on the other side of the hotel. Each time, we were told we would have to pay an extra €25 per night. Since we were already well into our stay, it did not make financial sense to pay this additional fee on top of the £2025 we had already paid for what we believed was a proper sea view. The room type we requested remained unoccupied for the entire duration of our stay. This inflexibility demonstrates a missed opportunity to ensure good customer satisfaction. That said, I must emphasize that all the staff were very pleasant and professional, and I otherwise had a great time at the hotel.

Inte ett 5 stjärnigt hotell. Hade det varit i t.ex Dubai hade det varit max 3 stjärnigt. Ingen badrock, inga tofflor, ingen kaffemaskin eller vattenkokare på rummet. Ingen portier med hjälp med väskor. Enda anledningen är typisk spansk. Det ligger vid stranden/ strandpromenaden. Finns nästan inga sådana hotel i Las Palmas. Men fin poolanläggning. Trevlig frukost. Superiorrum bra att dela med väninna men vi hade haft svårt att bekvämt få plats med allt i standardrum (inget förvaringsutrymme förutom i garderob; i superior fick vi var sin). Badkar i alla superiorrum (och i standard, tror jag) men det hade lågt insteg och handtag. Behövde be om badrockar och tofflor; ansiktsservetter och duschmössa fylldes inte på när använt. God frukost och middag. Fin utsikt när rum mot vattnet. Rök och prat från andra balkonger störde på ett sätt som jag inte väntat när såg layouten. (Likaså rök från poolbaren när rum på första våningen; försvann när vi fick flytta till tredje.) Gatan på baksidan såg sjabbig ut (”sex shop” enligt anslag mm) och vi undvek på kvällar. Inga problem på gatan snett framför eller strandpromenaden (eller baksidan på dagtid). Hotellet hade garage men jag skulle bott någon annanstans om avsåg göra utfärder med egen bil (stark, långsam trafik). Nära lokalbussar och Santa Catalina busstation samt taxistolpe vid hotellet = lätt göra utfärder på egen hand utan bil. Vi upplevde hotellet som bra fyrstjärnigt och skulle överväga vid framtida Las Palmas-besök.

Sehr freundliches und professionelles Personal: Rezeption, Restaurant, Bar und Hygiene. Wirklich einmalig war auch, dass einer von der Hotelleitung selbst hinter dem Schalter stand und die Gäste, die zum Frühstück ging begrüßt und bedient hat sowie gefragt hat, ob alles in Ordnung ist.

Första gången på Christina efter renoveringen; vilket lyft! Härligt mottagande med ett glas cava när vi kom nära midnatt. Fantastisk frukostbuffé. Bra service och mycket trevlig personal! Bästa läget längs Canteras!

Das Cristina erstrahlt in neuem Glanz, nach dem es scheinbar einen Betreiberwechsel gegeben hat. Aber. Ich hatte über das Wochenende ein Einzelzimmer gebucht. Erst bekam ich ein Zimmer direkt über der Salsa-Schule, mit entsprechender Lärmentwicklung. Nach meiner Reklamation bekam ich dann ein neues Zimmer, aber, bekommen habe ich ein Interior Zimmer, ohne Fenster, ohne Lüftung. Das Badezimmer stank bei meiner Ankunft ekelhaft. Da Lüften nicht ging, habe ich versucht, die Siphons mit Wasser zu füllen, was nur mäßig Abhilfe geschaffen hat. Bett war ok, Einrichtung war ok, Fernsehgerät habe ich nicht ausprobiert. Positiv ist die _Poollandschaft direkt am Strand mit gigantischem Blick, Barbetrieb und natürlich Terrassenmöblierung. Negativ fiel mir auf, dass das Personal scheinbar keine Ahnung von der EDV des Hotels hat und Schwierigkeiten hat, den Gast einzubuchen. Dieser Vorgang ging über 45 min, obwohl ich im Voraus bezahlt hatte, dies hatte das Personal auch nicht verstanden. Die Arroganz von einzelnen Beschäftigten mal heruntergespielt, muss man sagen, dass das Haus zwar 4 Sterne verdient, aber der Betrieb des Hauses nicht. Beispielsweise verbringt man einen großen Teil seines Urlaubes vor den Aufzügen, die nicht alle drei fahren und darüber hinaus auch zu langsam sind. Bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie geht das nicht. Vielleicht gebe ich der Sache noch eine Chance, aber es gibt günstigere Hotels in der direkten Umgebung.

Dette hotellet fortjener et besøk!! Dette er hotellet der ALLE ansatte ønsker deg det beste. ALLE er service innstilt og vennlige. Jeg har mange 100 reisedøgn og har ikke opplevd liknende service og hyggelig betjening. Det begynner med en avslappende mottagelse med Cava, høflighet i alle ledd til en frokost du skal lente lege etter. Damen som steker egg og lager omelett gjør det bedre enn deg selv på en lørdag morgen. Ferske grønnsaker og delikat opplegg og rikholdig utvalg. Lokasjoner er topp, på stranden. Kveldssol, god utsikt og nærhet til det du trenger (den ikke så pene havna med konteinere og lasteskip synes absolutt ikke fra hotellet). Vi kommer tilbake, garantert!! Synd vi ikke kan gi mer enn 5 stjerner- fordi disse folka er gode!!!!

Un hotel de 10. Desde el minuto uno han estado atentos a las solicitudes. Pudimos entrar antes de lo previsto a las habitaciones, el personal de recepción nos asesoró eficientemente y el transcurso de la estancia fue de lo más agradable.

Hotel Cristina is een leuk hotel op een goede locatie : recht aan zee. Het hotel heeft vriendelijk en efficiënt personeel (hotelverantwoordelijke, conciërges, check-in personeel, poetsvrouwen, restaurant- en bar personeel). Een mooi openluchtzwembad, een sportzaaltje, ‘s avonds vaak een paar uur een goede zanger/zangeres in de bar. Een bushalte vlakbij aan de achterzijde van het hotel. Taxi’s onmiddellijk beschikbaar. Vijfde maal dat we hier - met een vader die ondertussen 92 jaar geworden is - naar hotel Cristina kwamen. Het personeel kent de hoogbejaarde vader en is aardig tegen hem. Het enige wat deze maal tegenviel: toen de kamers gereserveerd werden via hotels.com werd uitdrukkelijk schriftelijk gemeld dat de drie bestelde kamers naast elkaar moesten zijn omwille van het feit dat de hoogbejaarde vader personen in zijn onmiddellijke nabijheid nodig heeft. Bij het inchecken bleken de drie kamers niet naast mekaar te zijn…maar het waren wel mooie relatief recent gewijzigde deluxe kamers op de 3de verdieping. Na de eerste overnachting werden we verhuisd naar de 7de verdieping. Twee kamers waren ditmaal naast mekaar. De derde kamer lag wat verder op die verdieping. Deze 3 kamers waren anders ingericht ( oudere wijze) dan die op de 3de verdieping. Hopelijk worden bij ons volgend verblijf wél kamers aangeboden die naast elkaar zijn.

What a lovely location. Las Palmas is delightful and the hotel is definitely in the best spot. The staff were all great, especially the cleaner who was adorable. We didn’t eat there as we prefer to sample local restaurants so unable to comment on that.

Hotel was right on the beach with shops, restaurants and bathing just meters away. Comfort and service were the best. Pool could have been open later than 6 in the evening. Breakfast meal was good with a lot of variations but we had a few minutes of queing and it was a bit noisy. We can recommend hotel Cristina.

Super schönes Hotel, Lage direkt am Strand. Viele Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service. Beim Frühstück ist für jeden was dabei.

Prachtig gelegen hotel aan het strand van Las Canteras. Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Mooi verwarmd zwembad maar de ligzetels zouden beter kunnen. Je voelt het ijzeren gestel doorheen de kussens. Het ontbijt was lekker maar zou meer gevarieerd mogen zijn.

Great hotel on Las Canteras beach, smack dab in the middle of the tourist area of Las Palmas. Excellent service, very nice pool area with a great bar, and a wonderful view of the beach (which is also super nice to visit and to swim in the ocean!). The hotel staff was very friendly and we received excellent service all over! Celebrated New Years at the hotel, and it was a blast! Luxury buffet was surprisingly good (well stocked buffet, plus lots of chefs cooking in place), live music during dinner and an amazing afteparty with a great live band, dancing and open poolbar. We and the kids (both 18) loved it!

Disappointed for the quality of the food at dinner. I was expecting something more and better. Very good the breakfast. Complete and good value. Personnel kind and cooperative. Room very nice with the sea view but air conditioning even shot down was noisy. Needs improvement.

The hotel was lovely and clean, pool area lovely, nice view by the sea. The weather was cloudy but still got a nice tan. Great view from the room balcony. Room was lovely, could do with tea/coffee making facilities. Small fridge in the room. Beach bar staff/towel guy were amazing, couldn't do enough for you. Bar meals were delicious and very good value. Stayed many times before and always enjoyed breakfast. This time it had good variety but maybe English breakfast wasn't as good as before. Missed the tortilla. Overall, we had a wonderful time and we will be back.

Hotel was right on the beach with shops, restaurants and bathing just meters away. Comfort and service were the best. Pool could have been open later than 6 in the evening. Breakfast meal was good with a lot of variations but we had a few minutes of queing and it was a bit noisy. We can recommend hotel Cristina.

Me and my elderly mother had a lovely stay at Hotel Cristina. The hotel was modern, clean and fresh with great seating/common areas. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and no noise could be heard from the street. The restaurant had excellent breakfast and we also had dinner there which was above expectation. It was great to go somewhere quiet to eat, especially since the location is in a very busy area. The breakfast had an omelette/egg station where you could order your eggs as you wanted them and they were cooked in front of you. There was a lot of cooked food but also fresh fruit, pastries, cheeses and hams, coffee/ tea and cava if you felt like starting your day that way. But the best part of the stay was the staff. They were really attentive, helpful, friendly and just fun people to speak to. It made our stay really memorable. Muchas gracias!

Los trabajadores del hotel fueron muy amables y siempre dispuestos a acomodar cualquier necesidad. Me llamaron varias veces para ver si necesitaba algo y en la unica ocasion que les necesite vinieron pronto. Podria jurar que mi reserva era con vista al mar pero la chica que me dio la bienbenida era muy maja y ya no queria bajar a preguntar. Yo me aloje con media pension incluida sin embargo esto no incluia las bebidas (alcoholicas/no alcoholicas). Pienso que eso deberia de explicarse a la hora de la reserva porque eso deberia estar incluido ya que ya esta en lampension escogida. Eso si me parecio algo raro, tampoco te proporcionaban agua para la habitacion solo el primer dia de llegada, pero hay tienedas cercanas. El gym estaba en obras pero me parecio estupendo porque el gym (Dreamfit) que tenian afiliado me encant y estaba dentro de un pequeño centro comercial.Tenian todo bien organizadito a la hora de darte las toallas parala peicina al igual que los pases del gymnasio. La comida estaba bien y habia varias opciones yo tengo intolerancia al gluten pero podia pedir pan y otras cosas. En general l gente era muy amable y sino sabias donde ir simpre te indicaban o tenian mapas en el hotel. Mi intencion era relajarme y pude hacerlo asi que overall disfrute de la estancia

I always stay at this hotel when in Gran Canaria. I travel frequently world wide and Hotel Cristina has been the best hotel in terms of comfort, staff and amenities. Decent pool and buffet breakfast. Ideal location next to the beach and accessibility to shopping areas. Good transport networks locally and serving other areas on the Island. Would have liked tea making facilities in my room but to be fair I didn't ask for this.

It has it all: staff (can I give 6 stars?). Same for the breakfast and dinner buffet. Directly on the beach and the wonderful promenade and the Price is great. A room facing the beach is really worth it. Can’t beat this place. Six stars!
