Lovely friendly staff, nice views of gardens, quite area, easy parking, excellent price, (but we get what we pay for), clean linen, and comfortable bedding, greatTV. reception and free WiFi. Now to the bathroom, understandably, this is an old section of the motel, and so we have an old style bathroom, c/w a rusting sink, an awkward sloping floor, and a tiny shower cubicle with narrow entrance, and highhob, too small and awkward for my wife to safely navigate. No clothes hooks to hang discarded clothing up away from a wet floor.

Clean bedding, equipped kitchen, but; Spiders, webs, and the AC barely worked (it was a very hit day so incredible load on the system). Shower area in cabin had replaced floor (assumed water damage), and the shower head needs replacemas it sprays everywhere (may help woth water on floor in bathroom too). Buffet breakfast was good. Pool was adequate (and warm) For what was paid for this place and the star rating, id give 4/5 overall.

We made an overnight stopover here on our car trip from Canberra to Melbourne in September 2023 booked via expedia.com.au. After a long drive from Melbourne we arrived after hours at 9.00PM. Check in was easy as instructions were communicated via text, email and phone beforehand. We checked into Villa 23 on Southern Avenue and were pleasantly surprised by the spacious and clean unit. There was designated parking adjacent to the unit which facilitated the unloading and loading of luggage. Split air-conditioning and heating unit was provided. Additional full-length mirror outside of bathroom would have been a nice bonus. Location was quiet and a short car ride to the city centre. The continental breakfast was adequate in a chalet-like setting. All in all, a near perfect.

Lovely receptionist and easy check in. Outdoor areas were beautiful. However, the carpets in our room were dirty and probably need to be replaced. There was an awful smell in our room which was probably due to the old carpets and walls. We also heard mice running on the ceilings all night.

Lovely older property in very good condition. The weatherboard buildings have a real charm and open out onto a large lawn at the rear, with a small patio , complete with a cafe table and two chairs. We had a pleasant evening with a pizza from town, and a couple of beers, enjoying the surroundings whilst staying dry in the rain. I would go out of my way to stay here again.

One night only. The room was very clean a little small it was OK for just a one night other guests on the other hand were very inconsiderate and very noisy right through the night and into the early hours of the morning. This is no fault of management just the other guests. I’d be happy to stay here again.

Everything was pretty damn good. Unit was new, clean and neat. My only disappointment was the bed. For me, and we are all different, the mattress was way too hard and uncomfortable. I’ve had more comfortable camp beds. Just a small thing, but you asked.

Greg and his staff at the Garden View were outstanding. They let our group of 10 check in early and even let us check out late. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Free continental breakfast hit the spot. Garden and grass areas were magnificently maintained. Hotel was very quiet. Definitely worth popping in if you're passing through and need somewhere to stay.

Fantastic stay and excellent value for money. Cant complain about our experience both times we have had a great time. Its nice and quiet, feels safe and just a relaxed atmosphere. The only suggestion i would make is the breakfast room needs dusting as the ceiling is covered in massive cobwebs.
