Travelled up from Melbourne arriving late Monday. Have stayed at this motel on numerous occasions over the years and are always happy with the staff, cleanliness of the room, comfort and great location. Our preference is for a park view room as this has a geat view of Merriwa Park which is full of bird life and lovely to wake up to. Motel is close to plenty of eateries, although many are shut on a Monday. We chose to have dinner at the Pinsent Hotel which was a great value for money pub meal. We also ate at the Watermarc across from the motel which had a more upmarket cuisine - also delicious. The motel no longer serves breakfast but they do have a selection of breakfast items available at reception. There is also a wide selection of DVD'S at reception which are free to borrow. Weather was in high 30s on thec 2 days we were there, so we had a refreshing swim in the pool (although they need to instal a handrail on the steps in and out as my husband slipped as he was climbing out - fortunately no major damage). Once again we have enjoyed the hospitality of this motel and will no doubt be back. Thanks again.

Stay was great. This is the second time we have chosen to stay at Parkview. Although it is an older style Motor Inn the room sizes, cleanliness and facilities more than make up for it. These are full size apartment style rooms. They have kitchens , laundries, full size fridge, good bedding, stove with oven and all plates glasses and cooking utensils you may require. However if you would rather not cook the location is perfect for walking into the hotels ,cafes and takeaway stores of which there are many. Highly recommend a stay at Parkview.

This is a modest but very comfortable and pleasant property where there are lots of lovely helpful practical touches. Reminds me of the good family motels we used when I was a child. It’s not luxurious but we didn’t want that - beds are great, rooms are spacious, lovely little swimming pool and lots of free DVDs to choose from. Owners are delightful and we felt very welcome and would certainly stay there again.

The management of this hotel is rude, unpleasant, and, actually, unhospitable. Even though i had notified them through Hotels.com at 1030 pm, the office was closed when i got there and hotels.com's virtual assistant was of no help whatsoever. Stayed here with family for two nights. We arrived on vline and didn’t have a car but the location was perfect - within ten mins walk of train station and an easy 10 minute stroll to city centre. Our 2 bedroomed apartment was dated but very clean and with all the facilities we needed including a well equipped kitchen and a washing machine and dryer. The pool was also a great bonus in the hot weather we had while in Wangaratta. This motel is an ideal base for exploring Wangaratta and surrounds and we would definitely stay here again.

The location is good - near CBD and set in a park. However the service is pleasant but very average. Antiquated stale beverage they call "coffee", very stale tea and no herbal teas. Easy enough to buy them in bulk. Biscuits disgusting rancid taste and no nutritional value. This is 1950s cheap motel fare. At least provide good coffee - most people want it first thing.
