The Palazzo was such a lovely hotel, the staff continuously went above & beyond our expectations. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of options as was lunch & dinner in the main restaurant. The pool area was well maintained & the staff were very attentive. The rooms were big with good amenities & the location was fab for montecasino & the bird gardens.

I had 8 people staying and they all loved it. Great pool, friendly staff and beautiful rooms. I have stayed several times and the best hotel by far in the area. Lucky, pool attendant is awesome

We booked a deluxe room because it had an outside space. The room was dark with poor lighting making it virtually impossible for my wife to do her makeup or for me to shave. We had to continually ask for items that were complimentary to be put in the room ( tea, coffee etc). The front of house were bordering on rude and the guy Elliot in charge of customer services was a complete liar, which led to a stressful time. The place is in need of decoration and updating as it’s supposed to be a top quality establishment. The tv was dated and could not be tuned in properly with no menu or any way to find out what programs were playing. The outside seating area gave a lovely view of the gardens ( that are magnificent) but the table and chairs were never cleaned. The pool area and all the outside spaces are lovely and probably the best features of the hotel. Some positives but overall disappointing. Photos showing poor quality tv , the lines are all over the screen and broken light that was supposed to have been fixed .

Enjoyed our stay, however it would nice if the windows were able to keep sound out better, I could hear far too much noice. Breakfast sadly is repetitive but should one be staying a night or 2 it should be fine. Staff is wonderful and it’s clean and beds are very comfortable.

Cockroaches in room. One below bed and 2 in the bathroom. I got a room change because of this. New room did not have bedside lamp in working condition and door not in working condition I also was not given a proper receipt for my stay and it’s been 2 days and I go to a hold for over 10 mins from an international call. I cannot imagine any other hotel of such stature not picking up a telephone line after more than a few seconds on an IVR. I am calling on their published numbers It’s pathetic service for such a nice property

I have to say we were very disappointed with our stay. We are not people who like to complain but we were so excited to stay and were very underwhelmed. The pillows were terrible. Neither my husband or I slept. The coffee machine didn’t work. Not enough towels and no toilet brush in the bathroom. Not what we were expecting at all.

Our stay at pallazzo hotel was absolutely wonderful. The location was great and very safe, plenty of restaurants around. But the service at the hotels restaurant and pool are was a bit slow.The only down side was the rooms are very small and crowded and no water was provided after the first day, had to call the reception to get more water. I liked the daily turn down service that came with many chocolates.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this hotel (we are from the UK). I absolutely adore the Palazzo, the hotel is first class. All staff, from reception, concierge, housekeeping are superb, professional and polite. The hotel feels like stepping into luxury, you are looked after from the minute you arrive until you leave. It is a short, safe walk to Montecasino, where we ate (we didn't eat in the hotel restaurant during this stay). Next time, we will be staying longer. Absolutely love, love, love this hotel.

The hotel is convenient close to the main casino and entertainment. The traffic getting to hotel is really bad, and the people that tried to guide the traffic for a fee make it even worse. But otherwise no complains. The breakfast is also good..for R395 person.

Everything was top notch. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The location within the overall Montecasino property area provides pretty gardens, the Bird Gardens, Casino, restaurants and shops. The property was beautiful and felt safe. Perfect location for a short stay in Johannesburg area.

Good location next to the mall and bird park. Lots of entertainment and good food options in the mall. The pool is nice but always a bit cold. Breakfast was fairly average and the food quality was below the rest of the hotel. The service at breakfast wasn’t good.

Great place to visit right next the Monte Casino which offers a variety of restaurants and activities for both adults and kuds alike. Beds and service was great. I really liced the gardens and breakfast on the terrace was fantastic.
