Best Western Inn

I really had a pleasant stay in Goshen. The desk manager Scott was very friendly and helpful. He informed me of the pet fee which is $15/night and directed me to the complimentary coffee and breakfast. I was allowed to check-in 2 hours early which was wonderful as I was tired from my drive. The pet area outside is lovely! Lots of green grass, a gazebo and well-stocked with waste bags. The area was well-maintained and very clean. I took my puppy there several times per day!

Friendly, helpful desk staff. Spacious parking. Nice breakfast selection and dining area. On the negative side... No TV channel guide in room. Between days 1 and 2 of a 2-day stay, room service did not make the beds nor replace used towels.

Perfect for the price, it does include a washer and dryer in the main building, amazing if your passing by or your a contractor looking for a good place to crash.

This hotel is run down and certainly not one that Best Western could brag about, I'm surprised they are affiliated with BW. My first impression was the filthy windows in the office area and didn't improve once we got in the room - the windows are filthy both inside and out. The outside stairs to the 2nd floor are rotted. The breakfast is pitiful - the lady managing it told us "hopefully there will be more tomorrow". The guest directory indicates breakfast in on until 10:30 am but the desk manager said it was over at 9 am. The ice machine is broken but they will gladly sell you a bag of ice. And to top off our stay, water leaked in our bathroom area from the floor above.

The parking area was safe, I did not use the laundry. The breakfast was excellent on Saturday but during the week Monday and Tuesday it was very poor.

The property isn’t in great condition overall. Our room was clean and functional, but the breakfast area had broken equipment and the coffee was awful. The lobby had a leaky ceiling that the owner brushed off when I told him about it, and some other damaged areas as well.

Simple, basic, some work needs to be completed on exterior but the room was okay. Front desk and staff very friendly.

Room smelled of cigarettes ( was non-smoking) and body odor. Bathroom floor dirty. Shower curtain stunk. Breakfast area dirty.

Un expected deposit dirty sheets on both beds shower and curtains I work house person elsewhere this was not a clean place

The room smelled awful, it was dirty, the bathtub was peeling, there was a pubic hair by the sink nozzles. There was garbage all over the grounds, and the "full breakfast" that was advertised was not a full breakfast.

Did not partake in the breakfast. I was pleased to see the conditions...had not stayed here in many years. pleasantly surprized in the good, clean conditions.

Mold on bathroom ceiling, breakfast area needs cleaned, dog bowls with food right outside the main entrance. Not a pleasant stay!

Amazing stay! You can tell that the owner cares about the place and their guests. Service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and do their best at making sure your stay is pleasant. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Clean room, quiet place, free soda/coffee all day long, which was great! Bed in our room needs replaced (sagging and springs pop) and the building is in need of some repairs/paint. Overall, I would stay here again.

Location wise, the hotel was really convenient for my stay. The beds are comfy however the room is a little outdated and is in need of upgrading

The soda fountain drinks available all day/night and breakfast buffet were excellent. Room was spacious and clean. I liked that it had a tub, but the water pressure was not good.

The hotel seemed a bit shaby on the outside, but inside the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV worked and the water in the shower was hot. What more could I ask for?

Refrigerator had no freezer compartment....had to hurry up and eat my ice cream!

1) there was what appeared to be black mold around the ceiling in the bathroom. 1) the room had an odd smell. 3) the filters for the ac/heating unit were fill of a black/gray substance. 4) the trains constantly running behind the motel were really loud 5) it is not the typical Best Western. I've stayed in BW's all across the country. This was a shock. We canceled our 2nd night and found another place to stay. It reminded us of an old dive motel. 6) when I took a shower the drain was apparently mostly clogged. The water was up to my ankles by the time I finished. 7) the outside looked nice though. I have pictures of all the issues and reported it to BW corporate.

Very friendly staff. I loved that I was able to communicate with the hotel via text messages. I had to check in early and it was as simple as sending a text. I would highly recommend this location again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. When we stayed the area was very quiet. The breakfast wasn't what I was used to, but they still had some good choices, and everything was very clean. I'd stay here again in the future.

Horrible management / owner. Hotels.com had a glitch and booked us on the wrong day. Hotels.com was willing to fix it if the hotel cooperated. The owner refused, and kept our money for a night we were never able to use. We stay in hotels over 100 nights a year, and this is the first time a hotel has been so petty and greedy as to keep money for a stay we could not use. Hotel front desk confirmed the hotel was not sold out for this night. Therefore the rooms would have sat empty anyway. All we wanted to do was have the date moved to the next night when we would actually be in town. We weren’t looking for our money back. However they insisted on keeping the money for the wrong night. $200 they kept from us. I hope the owner of this establishment gets treated with the same inconsiderate selfishness when she encounters a simple mistake in her life. This interaction made it clear that this hotel will find any way of taking money from you. They are not concerned with customer goodwill and loyalty. They are willing to sacrifice that for short term monetary gain. Keep that in mind when considering who to trust with your credit card for incidentals as well. STAY AWAY!!

The place was filthy, disgusting and smelled awful. The person at the counter was rude, inconsiderate and Made comments about my weight and my wifes breasts even asking to see them. We were terrified to let my wife come and go on her own because the counter person made her so uncomfortable and scared. Never stay here, go elsewhere and be safe

From the first call to check out, the staff was friendly and welcoming. We had a large dog (Mastiff) with us and they were extremely pet friendly too. This was the first time our dog had ever went on a trip with us and although there were hiccups the hotel was great.

This is a great alternative to staying in South Bend for a Notre Dame game. It is worth the extra drive. Scott at the property makes sure you have a great stay. It isn’t the Four Seasons but it is perfect for your stop.

Not ideal for any family considering the drive to/from Notre Dame. But the price (and availability during peak dates) makes it bearable in a pinch

Easy access to anywhere in the county

The people were nice. The room was clean with no evidence of bed bugs or other nasties. The hotel is dated. The nearby train did run by. The room was warmed up for us when we arrived.

Great location - near downtown and local restaurants

Staff was very willing to answere any questions i had. And if i needed directions they gave them to me. Hotel is in a great location to get around where we needed to get.

Great place to stay for the price. Clean room and friendly staff. 30 minutes from the Shipshewana flea market.

We only stayed one night, but the staff was very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was good. There is a Dairy Queen next door. We walked there for supper. I would consider staying there again.

The continental breakfast and the staff working were exceptionally nice. The hotel is just a little dated, but for the price it was an excellent value would stay again for sure.

Staff on evening shift gave wrong information about breakfast times and items served. We missed breakfast first morning. Cleaning up before 9:00 the second morning so I almost missed breakfast again. Property is older. Breakfast was a real disappointment in comparison to other Best Westerns

It was Fair, Had a couple hairs in the bathroom from previous guests. Stains in carpet. Water pressure was very low, im glad my wife wasnt with me with all her hair! Breakfast was not good honestly and very little selection.

The hotel staff were amazing especially the young gentleman who checked us in and was there every morning to greet us with a great smile and wonderful personality!! Breakfast was fantastic loved the omlets and great coffee!!!
