The Comfort Inn in Gander was conveniently located for us to visit this wonderful town on our way across Newfoundland. We appreciated the clean laundry room because we were half way through our 16-day trip and needed some clean clothes!

The beds were comfortable. However upon entering the room it smelt like “ dirty feet”!! I dare say it was the old carpet in the room. Capet in hallway and different areas was pilling they had hazardous sign up .. tripping hazard. Not sure how long they’ve had the problem? Or if they’ll rectify it. Don’t expect your room to be cleaned everyday, they only do it every 3 days, if you’re staying for a lengthy time. For the Price they charge and all surrounding hotels etc it’s expensive for older hotels and amenities they provide. Breakfast was included and satisfactory, but very small seating area and crowded.

The staff was very nice and the breakfast was fantastic. One set of bed sheets was stained. The carpet in the room was damp. Water pressure in the shower was very low.

The staff is wonderful , hotel rooms are carpet which you need to wear shoes or slippers as our first stay was on the second floor the carpet needs cleaning last night we were on the bottom floor and the carpet looked cleaned but upstairs above us the people were very heavy walking . The hotel location great The breakfast is included the aviation museum just up alittle across the street I would stay again at this property

The room was clean and our check-in went well. We stayed 2 nights and surprised there was no room cleaning after first day. Fairly minor issue. The buffet breakfast was good and staff there were friendly. The bed was comfy.

Pros: jungle jims attached. Two gas stations nearby as well as drug store. Clean rooms great beds. Breakfast ( limited options if you got allergies like pork.) Vending machines for pop ( coin only ) ice machine. Internet wasnt bad. Smoking area out back. Cons: little expensive tbh Key card /side doors a bit confusing go out one no key card access. Come in one np. Going out unsure if that red button was emergency or to open. Better labeling on rooms. Exactly what you get. Hotels should post pictures detailed & list what you get. I wanted a tub set up ended up getting walk in shower. Proper descriptive labeling be nice.

The room was bright and clean when I arrived. The bathroom was spacious and I was happy to see the shower as described. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The only small item of note was that I could hear through the walls very clearly. Fine for sleeping, as I could wear earplugs; however, I could hear how much fun my neighbours were having in the middle of the day (go y’all!) which may be an issue for people with young kids. Very niche issue but wanted to be transparent.

The hotel is very dated with carpets that should have been changed out long ago. The air conditioning unit soaked the carpet near the window. The room faced the highway and was very loud as a result. The bed was slanted so the head was lower than the feet. Could not wait to get out of there.

Hotel was clean with a speedy check in. However, we were kept awake most of the night by a dog barking in the room next to us and a drunk lady banging on our door at all hours. I advised the staff at the counter, but got a shoulder shrug and very limited response.

The hotel and staff were great. We were told we were not getting our room made up till day 4? We were only there 4 nights.(that was said by the room attendants) The day we were leaving we called for a cab and were told they were busy and could not get one to go to the airport. Beware!

The staff were wonderful location was great right across from the aviation Museum, there’s old planes there on the lot, but inside it talks about the 911 the people of Gander taking care of the people on the planes. It was a good stay at this hotel.

This 'side of the road' motel exceeded our expectations. The rooms are really clean, and the beds and linens were very comfortable. Generous with towels and amenities. Staff is really friendly and eager to help. Breakfast room is clean and well staffed. Breakfast options are the usual for this type of motel, but were fresh and kept clean and stocked. I would recommend this motel to anyone passing through Gander.

This was a great place to stay. The rooms were very quiet and clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable as well. It’s right off the Trans Canada so it was easy to find and then get back on our way the next day. The breakfast was simple, but it had something for everyone. Great stay and I would definitely recommend!
