i did not like that i was told that i would be charged $100 for incidentals yet i was charged more than that. also the fact that the hotel does not own the parking is ridiculous. i have to pay for parking as well a daily fee, then i will not stay here again. parking should be free to guests staying

There is no pool (which makes no sense - it's Florida!) and there is a private beach that is facing the highway and really doesnt offer much. It's very small and there is "no guarantee there aren't sharks". The restaurant and bar are under renovations and there is only room service for am and evening. The shower water pressure is almost non existent and there is no coffee in the rooms. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable and staff was really nice but not a great time to visit.

The view from the roof was nice and the bartender was very good. Only one elevator was working and very slow always full. Parking is $25 self or $30 for valet.

Overall, it was a great place to stay, clean, comfortable, parking garage, private Bay access, jet ski rentals, Starbucks in the lobby, and nice staff. Things to note - hotel is right by interstate so you can hear traffic/cars, there is no pool available, or an outdoor shower. They currently have construction going on so parts of hotel are closed. They have 2 elevators but only one that works consistently, so expect to wait awhile to use it. There is a fridge in the room but no microwave. They do have blackout curtains and streaming TV. Walk in shower and a tub.

I felt that the standard I expect from a Westin was below expectations. My biggest complaint was the condition of the common areas. The hallway floors were dirty/dingy and appeared as it they hadn't been vacuumed in days. The drywall had been repaired and had not been painted/finished off. The elevators were slow and one wasn't working. The soap dish in the shower was loose and barely hanging onto the wall, while the magnification mirror light was not bright. The desk phone was unplugged and once plugged in, was still inoperable. Considering the reputation of Westin Hotels & Resorts being an upscale hotel chain owned by Marriott International, I was very disappointed with the condition of the property. Based on my experience I would not recommend the Westin Tampa Bay.

Stayed for 4 nights. Toilet was dirty. Room was not cleaned 2 of the days we were there . Ran out of toilet paper. They did bring some up with in 15 mins. Asked to have the trash emptied too. That didn’t happen for 2 days. Complained and was given complementary breakfast. Food was not good either. Best part of the hotel is “Starbucks” and the little beach.

I’m not one to write reviews, but I was disappointed by our stay at the Westin. When we arrived, there was blood on the countertop as we checked in and when we went up to her room, there was also blood on the elevator walls. There was no refrigerator or ironing board in our room when I called down and asked, they said they’re not all rooms come with refrigerators, even though there is a spot for one it was taken out. They brought up the refrigerator to our room, but we never received ironing board after we asked the bedding was dirty. The hotel overall needs an update. It sounds like they were doing construction above us from 8 o’clock in the morning on. So overall, I was rather disappointed in our stay and I feel like they tarnished the Westin name.

It’s all the little things that added up for us…. Our shower ran out from under the door the entire time even though they ‘fixed’ it, one of the 6 outlets worked in the room, we got the larger room and the beds were doubles so it was hard for a family of 4, 2 of the 3 elevators were down and then they got 2 back up and working, not stoked about the parking here ($25/ day minimum), no fridge in the rooms.

Everything was good but tv didnt work, no microwave in the room and you have to pay for parking per day that was not mentioned before I booked!! Enjoyed the bed and room was clean and bathroom was gorgeous but I will not be back at this one!! You do have a small beech out front which was nice but I will go to a different hotel next time!!

Our hotel room was very spacious with amazing views. The bed was very comfortable, slept awesome! I love the private beach to relax on and soak up some sun. Everything was clean and updated. Only down side was that the restaurant was being renovated. More limited and crowded trying to eat in the lobby area.

Very nice hotel and the beach area was great. But the ice maker had black plastic pieces in it and maintanence didn’t come or close it when called. Water in bathrooms is only warm to burning hot. No cold or cool. It will burn children. No sound proofing. Crying baby and slamming doors kept us up all night. AC turns off well before the desired temp so room would not cool.

The property has a great location, easy on site parking. The newly renovated rooms are beautiful and clean. The rooms are spacious as well. However I could hear other guests in their rooms especially when they were using the restroom. So that was my only issue was how thin the walls seemed to be.

The Westin Tampa is in a good location if you plan on going to the entire Tampa Metro Area. Hotel is well equipped with most things you would associate with a Westin property. On most levels I gave it a 4 star but my overall rating ended at 3 due to the Noise level that came from the room next door. You could hear the guest like they were in the room with you. My understanding is that most rooms are "connecting" rooms and the door might separate the rooms it does nothing to dampen the sound.

Very convenient location. Everything is about 15 minutes away (depending on traffic). The room was nice since it was recently remodeled. Like most hotels, the walls are very thin, so I heard everything my neighbors were talking about AND DOING. The room itself was clean, however when I pulled the fitted sheet back, I noticed an old stain on the mattress cover. However, overall good stay.

The hotel was clearly an older building but well Kept and clean. The problem was with the morning staff. 1. My husband had a question regarding logging onto the WiFi in the lobby. She basically ignored him, kept talking to her co worker and then took his phone and brought him to the pay to use. 2. Upon checkout it appeared that we had been charged twice. The man at the counter replied “ I have no idea how Expedia pays us”. That’s it. He thought that was a reasonable response. Then my husband asked for a printed receipt hoping that might clarify what had been charged- the employee sighed, literally rolled his eyes and then apologized to the 1 person in line behind us for the delay. Would not go back to this Westin because of these 2 employees.

For starters, everyone in the room around us was extremely loud and had no sense of respect whatsoever and we got no sleep. Secondly, the valet staff were incredibly unprofessional and rude! They went as far as to yell “are you (r word)?” at my girlfriend for accidentally driving the wrong way in-front of the hotel. Asking certain front desk folk questions also seemed to be met with hostility and passive aggressive attitudes when asking about the extra parking charge “uh yeah it’s all over the website and the garage and the entrance”. Absolutely disgusting behavior and I absolutely will not be returning to this place ever again. Not to mention, an added 100$ for my parking??? I thought I had already paid 900 for this hotel??? Ridiculous.

The valet staff was very courteous even though we arrived in a Lyft. The front desk staff was very warm and pleasant plus he allowed us to check in very early as we were in town to attend a business expo and needed to be in another location 5 minutes from this hotel at 1:00pm. Hotel staff allowed us a checkin early so that we would be on time. That was top tier customer service. He even gave us 2 complementary waters. Overall, the room was very spacious and had great views of the bay and private beach.

Check in was not a great experience. The receptionist was rude and not very informative. Our grievances were handled at check-out with a different receptionist and the manager. They were very apologetic. The toilet in our room had a broken handle. Overall, the hotel was great. Comfortable bed. Nice water pressure. Bellhop service was great. There’s a Starbucks inside of the hotel and it’s close to other convenient locations.

A.J. was so friendly and so helpful. A.J. helped me find some things to do locally. I didnt catch the name but there was a young man at the valet who was just as friendly. I wish some of the others were as friendly as them. The room comfortably and we enjoyed how central it was to all of our plans. We would love staying here again if in the area.

Our room wasn’t ready at check in, So the manager upgraded us to another room that was ready as we had a small child with us. Excellent customer service & by far the cleanest & most up to date hotel rooms iv ever experienced and I travel a lot. The upgraded/remodeled rooms are truly spectacular. The private beach was so nice. I honestly thought it would be hard getting a chair & umbrella spot (which are free) but the beach area was pretty empty even on a holiday weekend. Very nice. Full service Starbucks on the property was very good. Food from the on sight restaurant was a little pricey but that’s to be expected by the beach. The food was good and worth it. Will be back again!

I specifically called the front desk and asked if the property was walkable to the Grand Hyatt as I was attending a conference there and wasn’t renting a car. I said “ I don’t want to get there and find out it’s on the other side of a freeway”. Well it was just that! On the other side of the freeway, and was over a mile away! It WAS NOT WALKABLE, for someone attending a conference in dress clothes…. Maybe if you wanted a long walk or run for exercise. So I spent quite a bit using Lyft back and forth. Very frustrating. Also been a BonVoy member for over 10 yrs and hotel was cheaper on Expedia, thankful for the better deal on Expedia.

It was nice and the remodeling was perfect, I can say I was disappointed about being told the rooftop wasn’t available it was for private parties when we were told at check out it’s open till 11pm she told us for no reason just to tell us we couldn’t even go up there, other than that it was a nice hotel very close to everything 27 min drive to the Clearwater beach ! I loved our view

The service for the hotel and parking were fantastic. The service at Aqua was OK. The rooms were clean but the refrigerator was missing. The bath tub had only two temperatures - scorching or burning hot. If you get the option to add breakfast - DONT. We waited 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us or take our order, waited an additional 50 minutes for cold food to be served. Again- front desk and parking customer service were exceptional. Gym facilities were also nice.

Breakfast was overcooked and quality was not good. Menu items that is included in prepaid breakfast from expedia is up to the restaurant!! Beach isnt clean at all. Restaurant staff is unprofessional and racist. NO POOL. Sister hotel has pool access but full of teens who smoke weed!!

The staff at check in were very helpful and resolved issues without hesitation. The only complaint I have is with the onsite restaurant service. It was understaffed and referring to it as slow is being kind. Utilized once throughout my stay, did not return.

Restaurant service can improve greatly , you need more people working and serving. Could not have breakfast because they were only serving the buffet and we wanted a la carte . Most tables were con clean and nobody seem to be taking care of the place.
