Club Wyndham Kona

Grounds are beautiful, nice pools, parking is first come first serve so you may end up parking on the other side of the resort. Employees try to sell you time shares upon check in.

There is not sufficient parking for the units so we had to park away from our room and haul a lot of stuff back and forth. It was pretty annoying. That’s the one thing I didn’t love about this place. The lady at the front desk was super nice. Other than the parking issue, we loved it.

Beautiful property! Our favorite was how cool the hut tub and water feature was in the one pool.

Great location. Condos were clean, well equipped and spacious. Pool and gym were good. There was a large party in the pool for an entire day. The number of teens making out and smoking kept us from being able to swim or layout. Wasn’t until after 9pm that security finally brought the parents and had them leave. It was our last night so a bit disappointing. Overall we had a great stay

We were there for 9 days and was left alone the whole time they have activities daily if you want to participate. They have an excursions desk and will help you find and schedule excursions plus if you do a seminar you can get discounts. The grounds are very clean and kept up. Rooms are huge and air-conditioned plus all rooms have a ceiling fan.

The staff went beyond to make sure we would enjoy ourselves Joy led lots of activies for guests and was flexible with the times

Parking was terrible. Every night i had to hunt for Parking. Other then that the accommodations where great

Overall stay was ok. Condo was big and spacious. Clean and quiet. Conveniently located. Kitchen was well stocked. Bedding was nice, can’t speak to the pull out couch. Pools were nice and clean with lounges and tables. Has a small cooler and beach/pool towels stocked. But no chairs or umbrellas which was needed. Staff checking in not the most welcoming, which was fine. Worst part was, before they give you the rooms keys, they make you go to “concierge”…where they then try and sign you up for a TIMESHARE meeting. They don’t take no for an answer. Had to say yes, sure we’ll go to the next meeting and then they proceed to call you that day and the next. He also kept going on and on and giving many pamphlets on island info and things to do as well. Which yes, is nice and all. If you ask for it. Which I didn’t. After a very long, early morning flight we just wanted our condo keys to relax and go get something to eat. He wasn’t listening. Expedia shouldn't allow you book timeshare sales pitch condos.

They have construction going on which was very noisy, thankfully we were able to have our condo changed to a different location. The unit was not upgraded yet, smelled a little musty but was clean and served its purpose. Pool was very busy and loud with kids the first couple days but we did get some nice relaxing days in later in our stay. Staff was great. All in all, I would stay there again

I really enjoyed the quietness of this property. I felt very safe and loved the big rooms! It was very clean and the property well taken care of.

My family and I stayed here for a week. The property is very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the pools were closed but the property has two pools. The location was great and close to amenities. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with a full kitchen. I would highly recommend this stay and would stay here again.

This was a great place to stay! It was clean and the property is gorgeous! We felt comfortable and safe at the resort. The beds were comfortable too. The staff was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again!!

My family loved it . Very nice and clean and the pools were nice and beautiful.

Showers were not clean. Big bugs by pool and in condo.

The suite was very spacious. Kitchen was fully equipped with nice pots and pans. There were washer and dryer inside the unit. Customer service was excellent, very fast and efficient! However, we got a downstairs unit, and there was so much noises coming from the upper unit that bothered us so much.

We loved that this property was so perfectly located. it was in a quieter area, but so close for walking down to shops and restaurants. Our condo had an amazing view and was so close to the pool. The room was great, plenty of space for my whole family to have their own separate space and the beds were very comfortable! That’s always one of the things you worry about, is uncomfortable beds, but these were great! We had no complaints at all about this resort. We would definitely stay again!

Very close to downtown Kona. Probably walkable but an easy short drive. Hotel itself doesn't have food or drinks onsite so you will have to drive or Doordash. Rooms are large and have amenities to make it easy. I wish you could access Netflix, etc in the rooms but you can't. The pool area is really nice. We were not aware that a sales presentation would require offsite attendance. You do get some gifts but it does take time out of your vacation. Everyone gets a wristband that works to access room, pool, etc. Our room was on the bottom floor and the upstairs neighbors were incredibly loud but beds were comfy!

King bed on each bedroom. Master has its own tub and shower. Other bed has it owns as well. With washer and dryer in the unit make it very convenient. Love this place.

The location was good and the grounds were lovely. Our condo was comfortable but the decor was dated. The interior did not look at all like the photos on the website. The washing machine was so loud it sounded like a jet engine during the spin cycle. The dishwasher was not attached to anything and tipped forward when the racks were pulled out during loading and unloading. There was a high pressure campaign to get us to sit through a sales pitch to purchase a time share which we did not anticipate or appreciate.

The rooms were great in regards to space, but quite dated. For the first three nights we were disappointed and didn’t enjoy being in villa because it had a musty, wet carpet smell throughout. This smell hit us as soon as we entered on arrival, called the desk immediately and was told someone would come and spray. It was a long day for us so fell asleep due to being tired. Was given an air freshener can in second day, smell did not improve. By day three we just couldn’t take it anymore because it was affecting my sleep. On our third day we called again about this issue. We had been very gracious up to this point and I was disappointed that the desk agent told us that we were the only ones that were complaining of this issue, as if to insinuate that we making this up. We liked the villa and wanted to stay and tried because we thought something could have been done the next day since we had planned to be away all day. All we got was an air refresher half empty can. We were changed on the 3rd day of our 5 day stay, late afternoon. We were told someone would call with room change early afternoon. Heard nothing, we had to go back to desk in late afternoon to get change. Second bungalow smelled better, and not as dated. The property itself is beautiful and clean, so was the pool area. The response to our complaints were not handled properly and left a bad taste in our months. Not sure we would return due to this reason.

The two bedroom two bath bungalow was very spacious. All kitchen items were provided and made it easy to cook or barbecue outside. Some of the furniture in the living room was dated. I’d prefer wood floor over carpets throughout the bungalow. The bed was extremely comfortable and the lanai was very relaxing.

Beautiful place, comfortable beds and great customer service. They would bring things to your room quickly if needed including detergent and dish tabs. My only complaint is the immediate attempt at trying to get you to a time share presentation, when we declined it persist and when we shut it down completely the customer service from that person went cold.

Albert was amazing! I appreciated that he was able to get us checked in early so we could get ready for our nieces wedding. It was very much appreciated. All the staff was very friendly and the unit was clean comfortable and perfect for our family trip. Thank you Albert for all your hospitality.

They cancelled my booking on the day I went to check in. Terrible service. The staff & manager will not accomodate or whatsoever.

It was a beautiful property. Spacious rooms. My family of five could comfortably spread out. Great pools and facilities. The staff at check-in were not very polite. It is a late check-in and early check-out. Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 10 am. They were also quite pressure-filled about visiting a presentation about their timeshare. Even though we were very reluctant to participate, they put a lot of pressure to participate in the presentation. They promised a week's stay if we attended which only turned out to be three days and difficult to use. Also, even though we said we weren't really interested from the very beginning, the salesperson seemed very annoyed when we didn't purchase.

The hotel is great, once you get past the hard sell timeshare sales people at the front desk. Perfect location and beautiful grounds. Unit has been kept relatively up to date, minus the tub, which had a broken seal on the drain. This is my second stay at the property, 15 years apart.

We enjoyed our stay here. The property itself is located conveniently off the main road. About a mile in each direction, north and south are beaches, shopping and dining. We had teenagers with us and they loved that freedom and convenience of walking to these activities. The Check-In process was easy enough. We booked two units and requested to be together. They couldn't place us in the same unit (it's a duplex condo design) but accommodated us by placing us near each other. The bedrooms, kitchen and living rooms were all clean, spacious and cozy. The Hawaiian island decor was charming and as our teenagers said, "it's a vibe", translated as awesome 👌. The front desk customer service was excellent. I can't recall names, but the "aunties" and "uncles" were always kind and helpful. Overall, ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 stars from us. We would definitely book here again.

Had read a few reviews and decided this would meet my needs for a stay in Kona. It was a wonderful, clean, quiet stay and very walkable to Kona’s restaurants and shops. Will happily stay here again.

No way to purchase drinks or snacks onsite. For water was told to drive somewhere and purchase a reusable water bottle and use the machine which was not good. No beach in a comfortable walking distance, and the one that is a mile away is small and doesn’t really have places to lay out. They also state that provide discounts for excursions but that’s a bait and switch to make you do a timeshare tour, no discounts for just staying there.

Amazing property and centrally located

It’s not fancy but perfect for us. Walking distance to shops, more formal hotels and a great coffee shop. ABC grocery store walking distance. Catholic Church, library and postal walking distance. Short drive to Safeway & Walmart. Small beach short walk. Snorking shirt drive. 2 bedroom townhouse style out with big deck, 2 bathrooms & kitchen. Ocean view from 2 A. Onsite events. Nice pool areas. Pretty layout.

Easy access to everything Kailua-Kona.

Excellent location. Quiet. Highly recommend to those wanting to be near, tho not in, Kailua-Kona.

If you don’t have a rental car skip this one. It is a timeshare property and of. Course they want you to try and buy one. Nice condos but NO amenities. Not even a coke or ice machine. I thought we were booking something different. And you have to walk a mile and a half to get to any restaurant! Taxis on Ilona are practically nonexistent. Just beware.

Conveniently located near the shoreline with beaches nearby as well as dining and shopping. The place was very well maintained inside and outside. Sitting on the large lanai was the perfect way to start and end the day.
