Convenient location , low price . But grounds poor maintenance and terrible snow removal

Liter all around property . AC units coming apart . Room thermostats , an chairs broken . Siding missing from parts of building . Rooms smell like smoke

The floor was so dirty it turned my socks black. The bathtub was dirty. There were no cups in the room, and no hangers for clothing. The towel bar was missing, and the bathroom door looked like someone had tried to kick their waythroigh it. It snowed while we were there, and very little salting of the pavement was done. I was awakened one morning by pounding on my door. I was told to love my car because they were repaving. There is no reason why they could not have put a sign out or blocked the area with cones the night before so that no one would park there. I did not appreciate being awake Ed like that.

Great price, not well kept grounds.

The only positives were the beds and pillows. Heard every flush and water running from other rooms. Main issue was no ice available and could not get cold water. Other guests were extremely loud. I will not return.

There was garbage all around the property both outside and in the hotel; also ants in the hotel around the garbage laying all over. The hotel room was messy & dirty. Whoever painted the walls & room left dried paint splatters & spills all over the carpet, walls, counters, bathroom, heater, etc. we I’ll never stay here again.

Property very dirty and run down .Cigarette butts all over property . Air conditioner frames damaged and ripped off. Thermostats in rooms damaged and difficult to use . Sheets in rooms stained

Upon registering for my room they did not mention anything about construction going on on the property, They put me in a room exactly where the construction of the porch, stairs to upstair rooms and pavement were going on. Very noisy, intrusive. Would not have stayed there if I knew this would happen. Not even a discount or other accommodations when I complained of this.

The only thing clean in the room was the bed. It was dusty, the little table and the floor were dirty. There wasn't any toilet paper, we had to go ask for some. We left for the day on our second day and the room was not serviced while we were gone. Atleast there wasn't any bed bugs.

There were chips in between the sheets and the blanket. There was blood on the wall in the bathroom next to the toilet paper. There were bugs and garbage on the floor.

Bathroom was already used and not flushed. Bed was already used and it has bedbug infestation.

The room smelled like smoke. When I was reassigned to a different room, that room also smelled like smoke. The new room also had a toilet that was very difficult to work with, and the shampoo dispenser was empty. The floor also had a lot of sand on it, so it was hard to walk around without socks on (e.g., after a shower). The grounds of the motel were also very noisy the entire time of my 2-day stay. I am removing this motel from my list of economy motels to consider staying at next time I come to the Buffalo area.

The bed sheets had not been washed. There were crumbs between the sheets. Really gave you the creeps. When we checked in it was late, 11pm. We seemed to have interrupted a very loud drug deal taking place in the two cars we parked beside. Certainly won't stay at this property or even aRed Roof In again. It was 100$ Canadian and now we know why.

It's an old hotel, updated. The disturbing part was cleanliness. I walked barefoot on the floors and the bottoms of my feet were black with dirt.

Of the 2 beds, one mattress has the springs poking through. Kids had to sleep on all our coats/car blankets piled under them, and it was still terribly uncomfortable. They slept very badly and were sore the next day. The most basic thing about getting a room is having a good bed to sleep in. If you can't provide that, you shouldn't be in the business.

Room key didn’t work, got another room, no remote control (tv satellite not working), then had to ask for toilet paper. Woken at 3 am by a screaming woman. Our son ended up staying with his brother at his house instead of in hotel room.

Ya get what ya pay for. Older hotel, they have painted but not very well. The room was clean for the most part. The bathroom was nasty. Would not stay here again.

Place is ok, just needs updates and a make over. Old hvac, no usb outlets, there is easy access to the college amd shopping. Not my first choice when i go back but worked in a pinch.

The refrigerator door was just hanging on to the refrigerator frame. Had to drag it into position to close.

First room/night no sleep with constantly running toilet and room was icky. Second room was better but AC wasn’t working right and toilet running again. Switched to third room and was awakened by screams of terror! Still don’t know if it was human or animal. Absolutely the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had! The photos online, while not setting expectations high, are still very inaccurate. Room furniture is beat, missing, or not functional. Staff tried but it just wasn’t enough.

When I booked online RED ROOF PLUS in Amherst near the university of Buffalo and was automatically charged by hotels.com Once I arrived the man at the desk tried to run my card again and charge for the nights stay. When I disagreed he called someone and went into another language other than English. The phone call took a very long time and all I could understand was my name in that exchange over the Phone. I received a hotel key card and when I went j to be room it had no way to turn in the T.V. . I left the room and asked for a remote control for the T.V. I tried to get back in my room but they kept card didn’t work because the battery in the door was dead and needed to be changed. They told me it would take a few minutes several times, after 30 minutes I was able to get back into my room at 11:00 p.m. The curtains were broken so privacy was an issue and early morning light was annoying. I took a shower but even with the drain open I stood in a pool of soapy dirty water. No refrigerator in room, no remote at first, key card didn’t work, tried to charge me again, broken curtains. Will never stay there again and I advise people to never stay there ever.

This room had damage to walls, doors, furniture. The carpet felt grimy and gross. There was almost an inch gap under the exterior door - a mouse wouldn’t even need to crouch down in order to walk in. My husband and I needed a last minute place to stay for just a few hours to catch some sleep. We almost left when we saw the condition, but the bed seemed clean enough and we were too exhausted and already out the money. I would never stay here again though. Needs major work. 125 for the stay was way too much for the condition.

The A/C was loud . My family did not sleep

Room not cleaned, no toilet paper, no towels, front desk rufe. Called expedia to try to fix issue and front desk lied to them saying they would send housekeeping when they told me they don't provide housekeeping. Room is disgusting, hotel is essentially a construction zone with hazards in parking lot. Supposed to be pretty friendly but don't feel it is safe to walk dog and there is no where to go. I've stayed at red roof for years and they are always basic but good quality. Not this one. Awful.. Avoid!

We arrived at 340pm. He made us stand in the lobby for 40 minutes before finally giving us our room number. Just for us to be told once he gave it to us it will be a few more minutes. We finally got in room, started to unpack before my girlfriend discovered the tub was full of dirty water, dirty towels and used soaps out. I went and said someone to front desk about cleaning the room for us and he cancelled our stay. Completely uncalled for. Horrible experience!!! He made Red Roof and your app look bad(and I normally love your app). Had to rush trying to find another room and just barely got a room and got to our show on time. Cost me a lot more for the room we found cause last minute. Though I will continue to use your app, still a very bad experience.

They were able to accommodate an early check-in which was much appreciated. The room smelled funny so I picked up an air freshener and we were good.

Nice Staff

This check in was a nightmare. After going to my room, it was ice cold. I immediately went to office to let them know. The young lady at front desk, went back to room and said that the heat would eventually come on. Never did after 5 hours Went to office @10pm, letting them know I was literally freezing. Said nothing they could do. Told me my Reservation was in/out same day. Unfortunately that's not true I have proof. The temperature in room never got above 62. When I ask for a refund, she has a room available. Very bad treatment of a regular there the past 2 months because of work. I will never stay there again. Too bad, it was convenient for work. The room I finally got was heated , but not clean, no soap. Just awful. I would like a full refund. I have taken pictures for proof. Thank you Nannette Arrington

Liked how easy check in was, only needed to be there from 1am until 8am during a long drive. Beds were comfortable

Very simple motel near the University at Buffalo. Room was average, but generally clean. I would stay here again compared to comparable motels in the vicinity of this motel. The area seemed safe.

Terrible smell in rooms. Rooms were smoked in. People were smoking weed and drinking in the corridors. No complimentary breakfast. Not suitable if you are traveling with kids.

Decided to upgrade to get the “upgraded linens”and the “free snacks” which is advertised when you book. Got to the room and the room looked ok nothing special. Not the cleanest. Mirror was streaky and dirty. The shower towels had dirty marks on them. I’m not sure what they classify as upgraded linens as the comforter had a burn hole in it and wasn’t the cleanest looking. There was a sticker on the fridge in the room that said to look inside for your free snacks. No snacks in the fridge. Went to the front desk to inquire and she told me they don’t do that there. Meanwhile theirs a big poster in the front desk area stating if you upgrade you get free snacks in your room. I would not recommend this place and would not upgrade for the upgraded linens or the free snacks as both don’t exist. Very disappointed with my stay to say the least.
