Horizons Lake Jindabyne

Restaurant and cafe was not open on Monday night Car parks are small

We had a sofa bed in our hotel room and the bed was sideways with the head part at the bottom and the bottom area higher than the head area. We slept in the hotel for two nights. The hotel rooms were difficult to get to as people that first arrived would have to go up and down the stairs with big luggage as there are no elevators.

Great all round for our stay in autumn. We had a King Lake view room which was really spacious and had fabulous views of the lake. The bathroom was large and well equipped but is a bit dated. Undercover parking close by was handy. Staff were all lovely and check-in was nice and quick. Handy location.

Nice aspect overlooking Lake Jindabyne, BUT this hotel is outdated and in need of renovation. Whem we stayed there was scaffolding everywhere, the outdoor areas were off limits as was the gym. We were not provided any notice of this on Expedia and I would like a partial refund....a request which has been ignored

View was great. Room had threadbare carpet and outdated worn out furnishings. Shower was good, except it was over a bath. Pool was lovely and breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Staff were friendly and this property is well located in town and near the lake. The rooms varied in terms of having been updated, seemingly reflecting private ownership. The gym was not well kept and the breakfast buffet was not refreshed as frequently as hoped.

Extremely happy with the room, trying to park high vehicle was hard, due to the work and other people parking in guest parking, if your vehicle is over 2.1 meters, some parking spaces won’t work for you

Convenient location with undercover parking. No lifts so pick a unit on the ground floor

Beautiful views right on the lake. Great to be able to the facilities like the pool, tennis court and pool table.

Loved our stay. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. My kids loved the pool and playing tennis. I very much enjoyed the view of the lake. The staff were helpful and friendly and breakfast every morning was excellent.

Everything was so well except cleaning of the room lights on ceiling. Too many bugs inside was discussing.

The accomodation could have been cleaner There was no bottle opener and when I asked the bar staff for one I was told the rooms were individually owned and they would not provide one and I should use a knife The rooms were very noisy from adjoining rooms and toilet wouldn’t flush properly. Also the boiling water at breakfast was just warm.

We really enjoyed our stay at Horizons, it was clean and comfortable, the staff were great.

Bathroom fixtures need replacing. Taps and shower rose loose. Bathroom very tired. Balcony table dirty. Unit very dark, needs a night light. View magnificent. Staff friendly.

Outlook from room was wonderful but overall everything was a bit dated, not clear what was available and what wasn’t, mould in bathroom, breakfast barista coffee not good, mostly friendly service but pretty sure they lied to me to avoid giving late checkout (said they were full but there were only about 10 people there)

Close to shops. Maybe the better accommodation in Jindabyne. Other options are even more dated. The building is old. Could hear tv from next room easily through the wall. Noise travelled from apartment above, kids stomping reverberated through the ceiling. Probably good for families with kids that dont notice things like that. Great and friendly staff. Nice brekky. Not really a 4 star hotel... more like a 3 star motel.

Enjoying stay, view was great. Room was comfortable, staff were friendly. Only negative would be the shower in the bath was awkward to use.

I want to preface this review by saying that we are very realistic and not fussy people. We have stayed at plenty of mountain resort accomodation like the Rydges Horizons Snowy Mountain in the past with no issues, always grateful to have comfortable accomodation to go back to after a big day at the ski fields with young children. People with families, you know exactly what I mean. Unfortunately, Room 206 was not up to standard. The sofa bed was uncomfortable with very prominent springs and poor support. The children ended up sleeping on the floor because that was more comfortable. One end kept collapsing and we had to prop it up with the main cushions. The main bed itself sunk on the right side and the left was marginally more supportive. Needless to say, one of us woke with a back ache and the other was perched on the edge of the mattress the whole night. The washing machine stank with mould clearly visible along the rubber seal. I had to wash the children's clothes and they still stank after it was dried! There was 1 opened milk carton in the fridge. Very questionable. There was 1 spare blanket and the 4 towels provided were getting pretty thin. We paid a significant amount of money in the $500+/night range for a weekend family ski trip. This was the biggest let down. If it is owner equipped then management need to get their owners on board, if its not owner equipped then management, you need to do better. We will not be choosing to spend our hard earned money here.

Great location just metres from the lake shore. Easy walk to the centre of Jindy. And right on the main road. We had a nice lake view. There was a full kitchen that we didn’t use. I’m sure that stove is 50 years old! Everything worked however. Full laundry facility would be handy if we were staying longer. The building transmitted a lot of noise from adjacent units. The bed was merely OK. Would stay again.

Great location on the lake and the room was very generous in size, with a lovely view of the lake from the balcony. The bed was also very comfortable, and the shower recess large. Water pressure was very good too. We appreciated that breakfast was included, especially the hot dishes, as we don't eat cereal or bread. On the negative side, the cupboards in the kitchen area were very awkwardly placed. I could not reach inside the one with the glasses, cups and plates at all. In the same vein, the wash basin in the bathroom was ludicrously high, almost unusable for me (I am 157cm tall). Construction was going on while we were there (the management did email us about this ahead of time, to their credit) and it was noisy and also difficult at times to drive around within the property. We had hoped to eat more meals at the motel, but the offerings in the bistro and restaurant were very limited, so we chose against it. All in all, we had an enjoyable stay and would recommend Horizons, with the above caveats (January 2025).

We enjoyed the breakfast. We used the fold out sofa bed as we had a king room. The sofa bed was really uncomfortable to the point where no one slept on it. Still get charged an extra $45 per night for it as well. Every thing else was alright.

Loved the size of the apartment and the view over the lake

Great location, although the decor is out dated and there was renovations being completed at the time. Breakfast was amazing!

Rooms were tired but the staff were exceptional and made our stay very enjoyable.

Difficult because of the significant renovations so it did mean that the property was not at its best. Staff friendly, efficient and helpful. Bistro good value (Commendation to Belle for her cheerful service).

The view was wonderful and the room was very clean hiwever, check in was slow as only one PC was operational and there was a wait. Also, air-conditioning was too far from the bed, making it almost impossible to cool the room down.

Amazing views, everything you need . Staff extremely lovely and accomodating. Restaurant has amazing food and staff were fantastic with young child. Highly recommend staying here ! 10/10

We liked the location being both right on the lack and also a short walk into the centre of town. Room was a little dated but clean and comfortable. Beds especially were pleasant to sleep in. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. We also ate Embers and the young wait staff were excellent. Food and wine selection was nice and the room nice and warm. We will be happy to stay here again.

Outstanding Location on Lake Jindabyne and just a walk to All Shops & Restaurants

Excellent location, close to the shopping centre. Breakfast was delicious! Dinner was good value and very tasty.

This place was very close to everything In Jindabyne. Access to the walking/biking paths was at the door. Supermarket and food options were very close by. The rooms were excellent and had plenty of space. The bathroom however was a bit dated but clean and functional.

This is a great place, centrally located in Jindabyne

The view from the property was just inreal. 29 mins drive to thredbo. Best location so far near snowy

The location is good, close to the shop but it is over price. The breakfast is standard but the dish, plate, cup , grass, bowl are so dirty. A bit disgusting, need to clean before eating.

Fantastic value for money - position and view can not be beaten. Well appointed, friendly staff and sensational breakfast. Even with some construction going on the rooms were quiet and the beds were soft and comfortable. Highly recommend
