Sète is a little complicated as far as hotels. I was only in town to see the Brassens museum and gravesite, and also went to the Paul Valéry museum, which are quite far from the old town center, which is known for heavy traffic and scarce parking. It’s probably a two-hour walk round trip plus hills to see both museums. The location of the Imperial Hotel is convenient to both museums as long as you have a car. Parking in the public lot across the street is free from 7pm-9am and on Sunday. It’s less well located if you want a bunch of restaurants and bars around, although there is a highly-rated restaurant and highly-rated bistro within a block or two, plus a nice pizzeria next door and a so-so looking bar next to that and a mini Carrefour across the street. Besides that, there’s not much within walking distance unless you want to gamble at the casino. The staff at the hotel are very pleasant and welcoming, the building and rooms are clean and in good shape, and the off-season price was very good. It worked out well for me.

El hotel nos gusto mucho por la habitacion con terraza aunque lateral estaba muy bien, el personal muy amable y atento y tiene una terraza con unas vistas expectaculares, lo unico malo es que esta un poco lejos de Setè, aunque tiene un paseo muy ancho y agradable nosotros fuimos cada dia a pie al pueblo. dejamos foto des de la terraza.

L’accueil était très bien et la terrasse nous a beaucoup plus. Les tarifs au bar sont un peu élevés mais la vue de la terrasse vaut le coup. Le gros point faible est l’isolation entre les chambres et le bruit extérieur. Le rideau électrique ne se ferme pas complètement et laisse passer la lumière.

My first room had a horrible smell. I was told they have it when it is windy. Too bad there is always wind in Sete. I had to argue to change it to another room. I was given a lower category room so the no offer to compensation. In the new room the sink did not drain. There was no hot water in the morning for the shower. No excuse offered. Seemed business as usual. Never again.

Family friendly hotel 5 mins walk from the beach. Room was a little small for 4 but manageable. A little out of Sete centre but plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. We stayed local as Sete centre is very busy. We ate at Restaurant Chez Mino opposite on the advice of the hotel staff and were blown away by the quality of the food. The roof top is a lovely place for aperitivo as the sun sets and then digestivo after dinner.

Hotel dans lequel nous venons depuis plusieurs années. Superbe deco, stationnement facile face à l'hotel et habituellement personnel très accueillant. Exception cette fois-ci avec le receptionniste impoli, énervé, tremblant de colere, absolument pas à l'ecoute, bref inacceptable pour une histoire de reservation en double. Ma réservation, preuve à l'appui, etait correcte mais ce monsieur n'a pas voulu entendre qu'il pouvait y avoir une erreur informatique entre ma resa et les transmission hotels.com / expedia / hotel. Hotel dans lequel nous venons depuis plusieurs années. Superbe deco, stationnement facile face à l'hotel et habituellement personnel très accueillant. Exception cette fois-ci avec le receptionniste impoli, énervé, tremblant de colere, absolument pas à l'ecoute, bref inacceptable pour une histoire de reservation en double. Ma réservation, preuve à l'appui, etait correcte mais ce monsieur n'a pas voulu entendre qu'il pouvait y avoir une erreur informatique entre ma resa et les transmission hotels.com / expedia / hotel. Heureusement la personne suivante a compris et a pu resoudre le probleme et la receptionniste du lendemain matin adorable egalement. Bref, tous les points positifs de cet hotel peuvent être gâchés à cause d'une seule personne.

Bien que le staff soit aimable, il est inadmissible de ne pas avoir d'eau pour se doucher à 8h du matin. Lorsqu'ils ont été informés, leur seule réponse a été que cela devait être lié au chauffe-eau. ET? Sans aucune excuse de leur part ni geste de leur part. De surcroît, il y avait de mauvaises odeurs venant de la salle de bain, inacceptables ! En fait, je suis vraiment très déçu par mon expérience.

Sète is a little complicated as far as hotels. I was only in town to see the Brassens museum and gravesite, and also went to the Paul Valéry museum, which are quite far from the old town center, which is known for heavy traffic and scarce parking. It’s probably a two-hour walk round trip plus hills to see both museums. The location of the Imperial Hotel is convenient to both museums as long as you have a car. Parking in the public lot across the street is free from 7pm-9am and on Sunday. It’s less well located if you want a bunch of restaurants and bars around, although there is a highly-rated restaurant and highly-rated bistro within a block or two, plus a nice pizzeria next door and a so-so looking bar next to that and a mini Carrefour across the street. Besides that, there’s not much within walking distance unless you want to gamble at the casino. The staff at the hotel are very pleasant and welcoming, the building and rooms are clean and in good shape, and the off-season price was very good. It worked out well for me.

El hotel nos gusto mucho por la habitacion con terraza aunque lateral estaba muy bien, el personal muy amable y atento y tiene una terraza con unas vistas expectaculares, lo unico malo es que esta un poco lejos de Setè, aunque tiene un paseo muy ancho y agradable nosotros fuimos cada dia a pie al pueblo. dejamos foto des de la terraza.

Family friendly hotel 5 mins walk from the beach. Room was a little small for 4 but manageable. A little out of Sete centre but plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. We stayed local as Sete centre is very busy. We ate at Restaurant Chez Mino opposite on the advice of the hotel staff and were blown away by the quality of the food. The roof top is a lovely place for aperitivo as the sun sets and then digestivo after dinner.

Room was ok, hotel smelt like a hospital with disinfectant. Short walk to beach and some good restaurants over the road. Parking is a little way unless you want to pay. Not keen on keys just left open to anyone next to reception as this is not always manned.

nice, small hotel super close to the beach. the staff is very friendly but they are not super helpful when it comes to ordering a taxi.. but overall it‘s very nice and i can recommend it. just be aware that it‘s directly at a road where even during the night, there‘s quite a lot of loud traffic.
