We spent a week here and loved the experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We also took some of the cooking classes which were excellent. It's an easy walk to the main plazas and there are a number of excellent restaurants and coffee shops nearby. It's a little oasis of quiet and comfort in a vibrant and fascinating city. The self-service honor bar is also a really nice amenity and the breakfasts were wonderful.

Un hospedaje muy tranquilo, nos explicaron que parte de las ganancias tienen causa social, el autoservicio y su lista de honestidad del bar me gustó, puedes tomar alguna de las bebidas que ofrecen (vino, cerveza, refresco, jugo) y simplemente la registras tú mismo con cargo a tu habitación.

Stayed in a compact room during a 5 day solo trip and it was so comfortable. The room was cleaned often, breakfast was DELICIOUS and they have a self service bar where you can grab refreshments after hours. It's about a 15 minute walk from el centro so if you don't mind walking, it's perfect. I probably got a taxi twice, at night. It's next to a police station which made me feel very safe. I will say noise was a bit of an issue some nights, there is a considerable amount of space under the doors and the walls are thin which allow a lot of noise in. It wasn't enough to disturb my sleep, though. It's a very cute hotel, the staff is kind, and I would stay here again. It also feels great knowing they give back to the youth of Oaxaca.

El hotel todo bien, pero como hotel deben gestionar un convenio para que la gente tenga estacionamiento, fue un dolor de cabeza y ellos no tienen convenio con nadie, los estacionamientos que ellos te “recomiendan” no permiten la entrada o salida de carros después de las 8 pm …. Uno va de turista no a dormir …. Íbamos a una boda y fue un dolor de cabeza arreglárnosla por nuestra cuenta, ese detalle por el precio que tienen ….. le quita todo el mérito positivo del hotel

Great customer service. Everyone is very helpful. They organize very interesting tours which I recommend. Breakfast is awesome, healthy, and included in the room price. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The only downside is the noise insulation, not optimal. Location is not too far from the city center, but at night it is advisable using a cab, for safety and convenience.

This hotel is small & cozy. Rooms are small, but spacious. The entire hotel is very clean & well kept. There is a ramp & stairs which are fairly steep & could be hard to navigate for people with impairments. The breakfast is so fresh & delicious & the staff is super helpful & very friendly.

Beautiful property with helpful and friendly staff. Delicious breakfast with varied menus, honor bar for evening drinks and unlimited fresh bottled water on each floor. Quiet and comfortable rooms with lovely bathroom, comfortable bed and good AC. Great that some profits go to help with educational projects for youth in the area.

The hotel itself is fantastic. Room is spacious and clean, staff is nice and helpful, breakfast is amazing. Location is also very good, just a short walk to center of town. Overall we loved the hotel. The only downside, and frankly this is not something the hotel can do, is that there can be loud thumping music (we were in town during low season) or barking dogs at night around the area where the hotel is. If you’re not as sensitive to noise or a sound sleeper then this probably won’t be an issue.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel de Corazon in Oaxaca for a week, and 5 out of the 7 days there was no hot water. That was unacceptable, every day I told the front desk about the hot water issue and I was given excuses and reasons instead of solutions. Taking cold showers the majority of our stay was very uncomfortable. Management did not offer any real apology, compensation, or urgency to fix the problem. I was also told the reason they did not move us to another room was because they were full. I contacted Expedia and was told the hotel refused to offer any compensation. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will not be returning to this hotel again!

Quiet setting. Creative and delicious breakfast options. Flexible, polite, English friendly and responsive staff. The day we arrived we had no hot water in shower or sink and staff responded immediately with a quick repair. The room and general areas have a simple beauty and are tourist friendly including filtered water canisters on every floor. I would be happy to stay there next time.

Great stay at a nice hotel with a purpose. The location is convenient - it is about a 15 minute walk to the main parts of the city. The rooms and main areas are clean and the staff are nice and helpful. There is a lovely breakfast in the morning. It can be a bit loud at night because of the surrounding area and the you can hear the bathroom next to you, but the hotel provides ear plugs. I highly recommend staying here.

We had room 14 and the bed was so uncomfortable. I had to book another hotel room. Nothing against the staff. All very friendly. However, beds very uncomfortable. Couldn’t sleep all night. Rock hard.

Overall, a nice stay! Lovely hotel and delicious breakfasts each morning. I appreciated all the details in the design- plants, tiles, natural woods, etc. The mattress is SO uncomfortable, though, which makes it hard to get decent sleep.

The staff, mission, and vibe is amazing. Breakfast was delicious, and rooms are very pretty. Only issue is there’s little noise insulation, so it’s very noisy. I woke up many times in the middle of the night from dogs barking, a phone ringing in the room next door, etc. if you’re a heavy sleeper, stay here it’s great! It’s a bit of a walk to town center but the area around the hotel is interesting and there’s some great things to check out. Good value too, just not a great option for light sleepers

One of the coolest hotels in the city. Just outside of the busy area, still safe and walkable. Very unique architecture and modern feel with awesome rooftop patios. We had an excellent one week stay at Hotel con Corazón. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast in the morning was amazing, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe was just very cool. Highly recommend!

We spent a week here and loved the experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We also took some of the cooking classes which were excellent. It's an easy walk to the main plazas and there are a number of excellent restaurants and coffee shops nearby. It's a little oasis of quiet and comfort in a vibrant and fascinating city. The self-service honor bar is also a really nice amenity and the breakfasts were wonderful.

Wow! What a fantastic boutique hotel! We stayed a week and couldn't have had a better experience. The staff is wonderful, super helpful, patient with those of us still working on our Spanish, and the complimentary breakfast is top notch! I would highly recommend the Hotel con Corazon and we will definitely come back again.

Staff extremely accommodating, friendly, gorgeous property, wonderful and tasteful room. Love the connection between architecture and nature. Staying there also supports their wonderful mission working with low income youth to stay in school through high school to stem the drop out rate at 8th grade.

Great customer service. Everyone is very helpful. They organize very interesting tours which I recommend. Breakfast is awesome, healthy, and included in the room price. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The only downside is the noise insulation, not optimal. Location is not too far from the city center, but at night it is advisable using a cab, for safety and convenience.

The female staff was excellent. We were able to book sightseeing trips and seek their recommendations around Oaxaca. One male staff member was rude and inattentive- he made us wait outside for 10 minutes at 10:30 pm before opening the door to let us in. We complained and the management apologized. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

We stayed here during our trip this recent August. And the staff was great! We actually also got engaged during this trip and they went out of their way to make us feel special. All the staff was friendly and the hotel has this honesty culture that really works. You can borrow umbrellas, take a drink from the fridge and it just makes you feel at home. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed in a compact room during a 5 day solo trip and it was so comfortable. The room was cleaned often, breakfast was DELICIOUS and they have a self service bar where you can grab refreshments after hours. It's about a 15 minute walk from el centro so if you don't mind walking, it's perfect. I probably got a taxi twice, at night. It's next to a police station which made me feel very safe. I will say noise was a bit of an issue some nights, there is a considerable amount of space under the doors and the walls are thin which allow a lot of noise in. It wasn't enough to disturb my sleep, though. It's a very cute hotel, the staff is kind, and I would stay here again. It also feels great knowing they give back to the youth of Oaxaca.

This hotel has noble goals supporting an NGO for educational projects in the region and also the artistic design of the rooms and common areas is very attractive, however this is not the ideal choice for experiencing the vibrant nightlife and attractions of El Centro in Oaxaca City. The propery is located on a side street which is practically deserted at night and you must walk several blocks to find anything open. The hotel restaurant only serves breakfast apparently. Also be forewarned I was told at check in that friends of guests are not welcome on the property after 930 pm, a very early hour in a city where many don’t dine until quite late. Overall, this hotel supports a good cause and is good for travelers who want quiet away from the busy streets, but there are better options closer to the city center for those who want dining, nightlife, and shopping.

The hotel itself is fantastic. Room is spacious and clean, staff is nice and helpful, breakfast is amazing. Location is also very good, just a short walk to center of town. Overall we loved the hotel. The only downside, and frankly this is not something the hotel can do, is that there can be loud thumping music (we were in town during low season) or barking dogs at night around the area where the hotel is. If you’re not as sensitive to noise or a sound sleeper then this probably won’t be an issue.
