This is an older motel and you can tell by the carpet and lack of electrical outlets! There is no elevator, so you have to climb up to the second floor. I had requested mobility accommodations, but the closest they came was putting me in the first room at the top of the stairs. Since the other motels were full and very expensive, we made do. I really missed having grab bars in the bathroom. We had to be creative to plug in our phones, hearing aids, and CPAP machines. On the last morning, the TV remote stopped working, so we couldn't watch news or weather before leaving.

Advertised with a breakfast which it didn't have. Room was ok and the gentleman was fine. Room didn't have the coffeemaker it was supposed to have, he went out of his way to get us one.Hotel looked to have been remodeled recently.

I was extremely disappointed to purchase a King room on the first floor but to be given a second floor (no elevator) room, closest to the road. Loud traffic all night. Horrible shower. Grumpy staff. I will never book this hotel again… likely never use this chain of hotels either.

Clean comfortable room. I believe it was renovated not too long ago. Hot water was great fridge and microwave there also. Breakfast is no longer served since covid so that is the only thing you need to be aware of but there are plenty of restaurants very close by. Very safe area lots and lots of shopping

Front desk guy was less than helpful. Insisted I booked a room on the second floor, which I did not. I checked when I got home. Room was good except for the bed which was a rock. The bed would keep me from staying here again. Otherwise, clean and good parking.

Found a cockroach in my room. Right on top of the dresser. My son took a video and the guy at the front desk told me there was no way..."that room was just cleaned". I paid an extra $10 to get a room on the 2nd floor. There were no rooms available on the 2nd floor. They would not reimburse my $10. I did get a different room. Didn't see any cockroaches. Wouldn't stay there again.

The room was clean, beds were fine, AC worked and the bathroom was clean and spacious. The only negative i would say is that the area that the hotel is in is pretty sketchy. We went to go eat after 7pm and the cops had already been called by someone at the hotel.

Very clean, super friendly staff, comfy beds. Only 2 complaints….the room smelled a little funky due to the ac unit. It had a damp smell all weekend. Not a big enough deal to switch rooms though. The other complaint was that I went to the front desk in the evening to grab a few extra towels and the gentleman told me he didn’t have access to extra towels so if you need extra, get them when the cleaning staff is there.

We visit Michigan City yearly and we normally stay at a different establishment close by, but the last year it was less then desirable. We settled on Super 8 based on reviews. It was extremely clean, quite and friendly staff. We would stay again

It's a good option to stay if you are just passing by or enjoying the Dunes park and just need a place to sleep. Beds are really comfortable, we slept really good. Cleaning is not great but it is clean enough. The room just needs a little air.

Everything was painted over including drywall corner bead that was never taper. Broken plug on hair dryer with electric exposed. Sink drain pipes are exposed and caulked at all joints. Just a very ugly room and nothing at checkout. Very unconcerned owners.

They require a 50 dollar cash deposit, which is fine, except they don’t tell you that prior nor do they have an atm. So when you arrive at midnight after being on the road all day. Last thing you wanna hear from a hotel that you’ve already paid for is to go back into the wilderness and find an atm

Service was disappointing due to the fact the manager unlocked my door and let himself in my room. It was very unsettling and made the rest of my stay very uncomfortable. If they do that when you are there hard telling what they do when you are not.... no thank you!

Overall the stay was good, unfortunately when I setup the reservation, there was no mention of a incidentals fee (deposit) to stay at the hotel. This will cause this or any other hotel to lose business. Items like this should be mentioned in the reservation app, regardless of which app it is.

This is not a 5 star hotel but was also not priced as such. Was great for what we wanted, a place to stay overnight on our trip. Only weird thing was that they wanted a $50 cash deposit in order to stay the night. We got it back when we checked out but never had that before. Good thing we had it as we usually do not carry that much cash.

It was perfect for what I needed, a good night's sleep after a long drive. It is conveniently located close enough to the Interstate to be easily assessable yet far enough away to not be a noise problem. The manager was friendly even though I was a late night arrival, delayed by Gary, Indiana traffic jam.

Our stay was fine, room clean. It showed breakfast when we booked, but did not see any spot they could serve a breakfast. Turns out they hand you a granola bar and a juice. There is coffee on a table at the front though.

overall property was clean and front desk attendant was great. no breakfast available. do not need full service, but protein bars or cereal bars, fruit and juice would have been a plus. also, a homeless couple were living there. made us somewhat uncomfortable. will not stay here again.
