This hotel has significantly improved since its refurbishment. The rooms are modern and well appointed. The staff are first class as are the dining options available. It’s very convenient for the town and the pool is well maintained with plentiful seating The only downsides Is the location to the road but you could not hear it in the rooms, just a little noisy around the pool, although the hotel have taken screening measures to reduce this. The bar is a little pricey but not unexpected considering the location. We will definitely stay again if visiting the resort

Well run hotel- staff efficient. Antonio super helpful on the reception desk. Swimming pool huge - I made full use if it and the gym although small had everything you needed and was pretty empty so went every day. Large comfortable modern room.close to everything you needed in this compact port

Stayed 4 nights (first time for me in Marbella). The hotel is nice and the room I had was spacious, clean and had a good/comfy large bed. But the room was facing a rather trafficked road outside, so I felt it was a bit noisy (not too bad though, with windows closed). The balcony was also facing the road, so not very tempting to sit down on (the hotel has other rooms, facing other parts of the area, and I would consider booking a room in another part of the building.) The swimmingpool was nice, but the patio around it is partly in shade much of the day (at least in end September). But convenient pool bar, serving drinks and food by the pool. Breakfast buffet was very good, with different selections. Seating both indoors and outdoor. Reception staff was friendly and helpful, but at times seemed a bit understaffed. Location is quite good, with easy walk down to the yacht harbor, the beach, shopping, restaurants and nightclubs. As mentioned, only negative was the closeness to the road on the northside of the hotel. All in all, good value for money in Puerto Banús

Absolutely top score on everything. Fantastic hotel an location. The rooms are really nice and clean and big. The breakfast included is perfect with great options and goes until 11.90. The service is excellent. I choose this hotel every time I am in the area. The only thing I wish was the gym to be a bit larger with a bit more equipment but I choose to go for a run instead..

First visit to this hotel, and was really impressed. Decent sized clean rooms, good restaurant and excellent breakfast buffet. Didn’t eat evening meal in the hotel as there are so many bars and restaurants nearby. The pool area is fine and there is a pool bar and grill serving drinks and snacks etc. There is a busy dual carriageway that runs adjacent to the rear of the hotel which does get a bit noisy at peak times, the hotel has good noise insulation so it didn’t really disturb our sleep.

The best thing about this hotel is LOCATION. It is perfect both for travelling on foot or by car. Just two blocks away from the marina and there is huge selection of shopping and dining nearby. Also if you would like to go for a morning run then that's easy too as you can run to two different promenades without crossing too much traffic. Should you arrive by car you would appreciate the easy access from and to A7. The hotel also has underground parking garage that can be accessed directly from inside the hotel. Parking has a daily fee but it is reasonable by Puerto Banus standards. As an extra bonus there are also charging location for your car inside the garage - a CCS quick charger with two cables and Type2 charger with two outlets. Hotel room is spacious and has nice design. Everything is in good condition. Only downside is that I have never seen a 4-star hotel room with so little amenities. Whatever you expect in a room is probably not there. Coffee maker, shoehorn, tissue box, bathrobe - you name it and the room doesn't have it. Very bare. Breakfast buffet on the other hand is quite impressive with good selection. Never got bored by the breakfast during the 8-night stay. Overall impression is quite positive and the hotel is perfect both for staying in the Puerto Banus or general Marbella area or as a base for exploring rest of the Costa del Sol. One serious complaint - NON-STOP Christmas music!

We stayed 5 nights. The hotel is recently refurbished so as you would expect it is in great condition. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. And overall we had a brilliant stay. Our only negative is the lack of AC in the room. Our stay was in mid December so obviously it’s winter time for locals, who were probably feeling the lower temperatures. It was 19c during the day which meant the room heated up, at night it was uncomfortable and we struggled to sleep. We checked with the hotel and they confirmed because it was winter the room HVAC could only provide heat and not cooling. The hotel is close to the motorway so i wouldn’t recommend having the balcony door open at night (plus you need to keep the mosquitoes out!) The hotel did provide a fan which helped a little. Other than this we couldn’t fault our stay.

The Hotel was lovely, room was large, modern and comfortable, it was very close to a major road so sitting on the balcony wasnt really possible without listening to music through noise cancelling ear pods. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice of food and juices. I would recommend the Hotel just be aware of the road and ask for room away from it!

Had a fabulous time at this hotel. Our room was for 3. The double bed was huge we had a sofa bed which wasn’t that comfy but we managed. The bathroom was lovely with a huge shower and double sinks. The toilet could have done with a door for more privacy. The balcony was adequate for 3 people although the room was close to the road so it was quite nosey. The breakfast was excellent with everything you could think of! The hotel is perfectly located a walking distance from the marina and all the restaurants.

Very nice hotel and room, perfect location. Very good bed. BUT, the room temperature was too hot, 24°Celsius through the whole night and as a result of that I could not sleep well. It was not possible to adjust, as the aircon system only gave hot air.

En general el alojamiento está bien, la habitación es amplia y el desayuno variado y de calidad. No obstante, mi estancia fue arruinada por lo siguiente. Un día antes de salir del alojamiento decidí enviar un traje para que me lo lavaran con la promesa que estaría en menos de 24 horas. Después de 24 horas cuando voy a preguntar por el traje, me lo traen en una bolsa arrugado y sin planchar. A todo esto, la Directora nos atiende y después de pedir reiteradas disculpas no ofrece compensación proporcional a lo causado y nos ofrece agua para el viaje. Cosa que considero que es un insulto. Lamentablemente no puedo recomendar este sitio, ya que también nos mintieron ya que la recepcionista nos dijo que había sido un problema de la máquina y la Directora admitió que tenían externalizada la lavandería y que no les habían podido coger el traje. Lamentablemente no puedo recomendar este establecimiento por la manera en que se gestionó mi incidente.

Staff were very helpful and courteous. We asked a couple of questions about getting to different places and the staff went over and above to help us. We only had breakfast at the hotel and the food was very nice. We used the pool bar and the staff again were lovely and food was lovely. Would definitely recommend snd stay at this hotel again

The location is really good the rooms are clean and spacious. The air con is useless in the rooms we had to open the doors and we was road side so the noise was a joke! Getting ready drying my hair was a nightmare as was sweating! The reception is so so slow they are lovely staff but need at least 5 people on the double sided reception as it’s always so busy! We used our milk the first day we was there this never got replaced at all even after 6 days. The pool doesn’t open until 10am it should be 9am as we are up and about at 9 and want to sunbath. This is a good hotel but needs to tweek the above to be really good. Would stay again but aware of all the above.

Occidental Puerto Banús La ubicación es excelente, muy cerca de la playa, restaurantes y todo el ambiente de Puerto Banús. El hotel es moderno, limpio y con un personal muy amable que hace la experiencia agradable. El único detalle que no me permitió darle 5 estrellas es que por la noche se escuchan bastante los carros de la avenida, lo que dificulta descansar bien.

Very nice hotel, and it smells amazing in the lobby area. Very spacious room, spacious balcony, with great view of pool. Front desk staff…meh😕. I think they could use a bit more training. The location of this hotel is sooo convenient. We were in walking distance to so many places! Overall, enjoyed our stay! Absolutely love Puerto Banus and Marbella! Beautiful cities!

No Ice or ice buckets for rooms. Buffet breakfast was cleared at around 10.40am . When it’s open to 11am. If you show up ar 10.45am everything has been cleared and the staff will not get you any food .

The property was modern, clean and had great facilities. The staff were extremely polite and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. We also really enjoyed the breakfast as there was a good selection of hot and cold options! I would definitely stay again!
