CHATEAU BY THE SEA

The main reason I came back to this hotel and will return again next year is because of the friendliness of the staff. I prefer this location to the larger hotels in the area because of how I am treated.

The hotel was quite okay, but in my opinion it’s not a beach resort since you have to walk a bit to reach the water, and the beach itself isn’t very nice. The room felt fairly worn down, and there were cockroaches in the bathroom. If you want to stay by the sea, I recommend choosing a hotel a bit outside of Cebu or staying at Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort on Camotes Island, which is beautifully located. It’s a bit of a journey to get there, but definitely worth it! When you’re in Cebu, it’s better to stay at a simpler and cheaper hotel in the city rather than spending money on a seaside hotel in Lapu-Lapu. That’s my advice after visiting the Philippines many times. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, and the food was good.
