Well i payed for it with the amenities that there are, and the sauna wasn't working for the entire stay, and there were people in the hot tub that I wanted to use, and they were in it for like 45 minutes drinking alcoholic beverages and loud.i had to go tell staff to get them out of the tub and to bring there drinks with them. Was not very impressed, for the staff can see on the camera what was going on and just left it till I went to find them to remove the intoxicated people that were in it too long

The Staff was inviting and very friendly. Pool, sauna, and Hotub were excellent. Breakfast was delicious Walmart, Dollar Rama, Giant Tiger, Dollar Tree are all within walking Distance.

Parking was very difficult as construction had the entrance blocked and was operating late into the evening. Called hotel and staff was helpful in how to access parking lot. Room was listed as deluxe queen but much smaller than pictures seemed.

Hot tub jets work but barely, not strong you don't know if there ever on, the bed in room 332 was lumpy and hard on my back, again when first walking into the room was a musty smell but opened the window and aired it out, the good thing was the pool was great but no towels to dry off however we greatly enjoyed the time we stayed in the pool. Room was clean and wifi works, nextdoor to shopping. Overall my rating is good, 4 out of 5 stars, update the beds and you have a winner.

When we first arrived we were checked in to a room with two double beds and very small the staff immediately fixed that and found us another room The pool area needs to have proper towels they should be in the pool area and not at front desk The hot tub did not have the jets working The breakfast is decent It’s the second time we have stayed there Staff are really great and professional Availability to have office services done with staff printing documents was great.

Very dirty and very noisy. Asked the front desk to help with kids running and screaming in the halls and they said that quiet time begins at 11. Don’t stay here if you have an early start, you will leave exhausted.

The rooms very very small but we expected that. However the carpet in the hallways and room was really dirty and needs to be replaced with laminate flooring. The breakfast provided was terrible, the hash browns were barely warm and the juice was warm too. We ended up going somewhere else to grab something to eat. For the price try somewhere else. Staff were friendly, no issues there.

Overall, the hotel and our rooms were clean and inviting. I have allergies and so it is important that my room have no dust or any scent at all. I would recommend this place to anyone who has environmental sensitivities.

Front desk staff at check-in was friendly and helpful. Some other front desk staff I seen, seemed as though they were there to fill a chair, not too friendly and didn't seem to acknowledge you as you passed by. The room we had was very small. The bed was soft, fairly comfortable for me but my wife thought it was too soft. The cleaning staff did the bare minimum, there was dust on the floor when we arrived and it was still there when we left 3 days later. The second day the cleaner took our face cloth and never replaced it before we left. The room was really dark at night, so much so that we left the bathroom light on all night, with the door opened just a bit, so we could have a little light to see where we were going if we got up during the night. Would be a good idea to put night lights by the bathroom for that purpose, be cheaper on electricity that way. The breakfast was good, warm selection every morning. The breakfast area was very clean and I seen the young lady cleaning regularly.

Couch in the room had numerous stains that appeared to be bodily fluids. Asked the cleaners about it and they said that there was nothing they could do. Towels and sheets were also very stiff and hard to use. Would not recommend staying at Microtel in Timmins

I stayed in a suite, and the difference between a Suite and a normal room for this Microtel series of Hotels is a sink. No dishes, no cutlery, no dish soap, no dish towels, no cookware, no cooking appliances. What is the point of calling it a suite??? It is a large room, but not a suite. Please update your rooms so people don't get stuck without the amenities they expect when they book a SUITE.

It was your average hotel when it comes to cleanliness, condition, amenities and location. Staff were friendly and professional. I did not use the pool, nor did I have breakfast, so I can’t comment on those. The walls and ceilings must not be well insulated though, because the noise was next level loud. It sounded like the guest above me had their tv the loudest it could go and it went on until 12am. The room next to me had guests with a dog that barked most of the night. Children were running and yelling in the hallway late into the evening. Maybe it was a one off for me since I stayed on a holiday.

Bathroom sink was cracked was offered another room same size. Room was small, shower was ok if you were under 5 ft 10” otherwise you bend for it. Heat control only worked off heating unit , thermostat on walk did not work. Bath towels very rough On plus size staff was great and meal from bar, chicken tenders was very good. I won’t be staying here again.

The walls are very thin and are not soundproof at all. The rooms around us were very noisy and the sounds through the walls were enough to wake us up during the night. The front desk staff were pleasant.

It’s a very nice and clean hotel. I now know why it’s called the microtel, the rooms are micro! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay there more then 2 nights because of the room size.

The Front desk Clerk Noor was friendly and very helpful. We did have a problem with an odd odour in the room provided and he came to check it out and moved us immediately to another room, he even came with us to check it out. Thank you Noor!

The room was small but well laid out with everything you could need. The pillows were quite large and bulky. They really weren't comfortable, and prevented us from sleeping for the most part. The "party room" is in the same open area as the guest services desk immediately when you walk in the front door. At check-in time the party room was in use for a kids birthday party and it made it difficult to hear when checking in. The guest services guy checked us in without any problems but he didn't explain what he was doing with my credit card on a prepaid room, didn't say anything about WiFi, pool hours, dinner service or breakfast. Overall not a bad place to stay just don't expect welcoming or informative staff.

I do not stay at the property for scenery, as Timmins is town of hardworking people with one main road with many hotels, none of which are ‘scenic’. Microtel is great for its comfortable rooms, easy parking, great breakfast and welcoming staff. It’s on the west edge of town, so if you need to head west early down 144 or towards Chapleau or Wawa, I highly recommend it.

Check in was very easy. Breakfast was amazing, a combination of hot breakfast and cereals. The pool was loved by my entire family and the on site laundry was a great amenity even though it was a little more expensive than the in town laundromat. Walmart being just across the parking lot was very convenient.

It is unfortunate but the building seems surrounded by garages/warehouses (not to mention a commercial building currently under construction between it and the main road). Such things cannot be helped but the hotel itself deserves better visibility. It is very odd that the hotel could be set so far back from the road that another building can be built directly in front of it, eventually obscuring it. A passing motorist/potential client will likely just miss it, and the signage won't be enough. That said, I would certainly stay there again. My wife, son and nephew enjoyed the pool and hot tub immensely and the staff were decent.

Staff was very friendly, Room's were clean, Pool was perfect temperature, hot tub was nice and hot, sauna also was hot, breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, easy parking. Walmart is at the back of the motel so you can walk there if you wanted. We love staying there and will be staying there on our next trip our new found home away from home definitely a 5plus 😀

I like the pool and hot tub, however complimentary breakfast needs more healthy items such as fruit. I loved that they were offering lemon water all day long. It was nice to just walk up to the lobby to get fresh cold water.

Accommodating, we were there for snowcross racing, breakfast opens at 7:00 Sat and Sun, they opened it at 6:30 for the race workers and children that were racing so they could eat and had to be at the track by 7:30, this was very much appreciated by all families, Thank you for accommodating
