Great with kids and for playing in the pools. Only one out of two big pools are heated though. Not enough deck chairs around the pools for all guests and guests shamelessly “reserve“ the chairs without sanctions from the hotel staff. Inclusive food and beverages at equal levels to similar hotels with a generous choice. Rooms and facilities are proper and clean. Very friendly staff.

The hotel is excellent. Clean and comfortable with two great pools. It is oriented to families so is quite noisy around one of the pools with various organised activities. The usual issues at busy times with selfish guests putting towels on sunbeds and the not showing up. Food was very good and varied. Unusually we had water each evening with our meal and we're charged euro 2:30 for a small bottle. Don't think I've ever been charged for water with an evening meal. Resort is dominated by the Barcelo hotels.

Great hotel and location only thing that let it down was the food - very limited choice - similar food every night - no theme nights - food either over or under cooked and many products kept running out and you had wait a while for them to get renewed - would only rate the food as 2.5/5 not what you expect for this standard of hotel. On another note be aware everything is charged - key to safe and late check out and deposit for beach towels etc

At our service level the Welness was free. Breakfest, lunch and diner very good Very busy around the pool. Very early in the morning sunbeds were occupied with towels.

More resort than Hotel spacious with lovely beach in front and great promenade to take a long walk. Slight niggle that use of room safe and such incurred a charge which seemed a little petty. Main buffet restaurant Tindaya was excellent, great choice and food cooked as you would want. Lovely seafood, razor clams, prawns etc. Same comment for breakfast great choice and eggs and omelette cooked as you watched. Shows in the main bar , theatre were good and didn't intrude on the rest of the hotel. In the better area of Caleta de Fuste.

Puntos positivos: -Personal muy atento y agradable -Localización y Playa inmejorables Puntos negativos: -Imposible encontrar una hamaca libre desde primera hora de la mañana en zona de sombra en toda la piscina (la gente deja la toalla en la hamaca antes del desayuno y ya no la quitan hasta la tarde-noche aunque no estén). La respuesta del hotel es que hagas tu mismo de policía y quites la toalla que ocupa la hamaca si en 30min nadie la ha ocupado, así si vuelve la persona que tenía ocupada la hamaca se enfrente contigo y no con el hotel (que buena idea!). -El Bufet es cada día prácticamente el mismo, variando unos pocos platos de un día para otro. -Si reservas y eres VIP GOLD, olvídate de las ventajas que te corresponden (aumento de categoría en la habitación, bebida gratis, etc), la excusa: no hay disponibilidad. -El Servicio de limpieza de habitaciones nos limpio la habitación a las 16h de la tarde 3 días de los 6 que estuvimos alojados en el hotel.

Had loads of ants in first room and changed room the main thing that let’s this hotel down for me is areas such as the spa or mini golf which is advertised and part of the hotel you have to pay extra for

Great location for families or couples. Easy access to saltwater pools, minigolf, spa, gym and so on. Very relaxing and great place to recharge and have fun activities to do. Service has been friendly and inviting for us.

Hôtel bien dans l'ensemble cependant certaines prestations ont baissées depuis l'année dernière malgré une hausse importante du prix. Moins de variété dans l'alimentation, les plats froids et plus de vrai jus d'orange Ménage fait à minima Le reste est conforme à la description.

Wir hatten einen erholsamen Aufenthalt im Barcelo Fuerteventura Mar, würden das Hotel aber nicht nochmal wählen. Das Buffet war teilweise richtig verwüstet, unter den Liegen am Pool lagen tagelang Essensreste und allgemein waren die Fliesen um den Pool nicht allzu sauber. Essen allgemein ok, aber auch nicht super bei Halbpension. Richtig peinlich fanden wir aber die Handtuchregelung: Pfand für die Pool-Handtücher ist das Eine, aber 2€ Gebühr für den Austausch zu erheben, ist einfach nur frech! Umgebung sehr angenehm zum Shoppen oder auch mal außerhalb Essen gehen. Die Zimmer waren auch ok, allerdings hatte ich zB die ganze Woche ein Reiskorn auf dem Boden liegen, das ich sicher nicht ins Zimmer gebracht habe und das offenbar auch niemand mehr mit raus putzen wollte. Leider ziemliche Massenabfertigung und teilweise nicht allzu hygienische Zustände.

Great hotel with friendly staff. Lovely clean complex overlooking the beach. Pool was saltwater and a bit cool so didn’t spend too much time in it. Staff were amazing and really helpful. Ideal location for the resort.

Hotel was spotless Room was clean and modern Food was good and lots of choices

We only stayed here 1 night as I had an incredibly early flight and it’s 10 minute from the airport. That said check in was smooth. The room was far so be prepare to walk a bit and the place is a maze. We booked some spa appointments. The spa has potential but needs help. The changing / dressing rooms are coed with stalls but it’s bare bones. The hydrotherapy/thermal pass was useless no one cared they were using all the rooms even if you didn’t have it. The gym looked well equipment but layout was tight. The bar in the spa limited options and their order to chair didn’t work on their app. The property is ok but feels like you are on a big corporate cruise ship. More could be done to make it feel less stark. Also in the rooms only 4 towels. Two hand towels, 2 bath sheets, no robes or slippers. 2 warm boxes of water, surfaces were sticky we wipes them down. It’s doable but not sure I would come back unless I had to.

Beautiful receptionist Zana looked after me. Room was perfect and seemed a great quiet location until the noise of an adjacent Irish pub , changed all that, after dark

Location: great. Near airport, shops, bars and on lovely beach. Room - clean but don't like having to pay to use the safe. Our patio had no privacy between our neighbours and the hot tub was more like a bath tub (for one) which you had to fill up before use. The top AI package was good as included a bar at the marina and free access to the spa where you could relax around the pool without feeling like a sardine. Lomi lomi massage was not cheap but it was excellent. Food - as vegans, this hotel had the least terrible reviews on Fuerta Ventura which is why we chose it. Signage was good but choice was very limited. Could order in advance for the whole week some vegan alternatives (tofu, sausages, fake chicken nuggets, vege burger) which we did. Sausages and nuggets were actually excellent! There was at least plant based milk and yoghurt available without asking. Evening entertainment was good but bar as understaffed so service slow. Bar by pool was well staffed but some bartenders were lacking knowledge on cocktails and on several occasions the glasses smelt dirty (so we always asked for plastic ones). Overall service was good though and friendly and they did try their best to help us vegans!

Staff and general hotel facilities were brilliant. Room although clean was of poor quality (marks and damage across most items, shower leaking etc.) A lot of noise from neighbouring bars and airplanes overhead.

We were very pleasantly surprised to be allocated a ground floor room with our own terrace and direct access to the pool. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The shower was excellent with plenty of hot water when needed. We were a bed and breakfast option and found there was plenty of choice - we found that about 8.30 am was the best time for us as it wasn't so busy.

The hotel is 5 mins from the airport, 12.60€ in a taxi. They welcomed us when we arrived and all staff were very attentive. We stayed bed and breakfast but the variety at breakfast was amazing. The bed was comfortable and the room fresh and clean. It was a very relaxing break.

It is a lovely hotel with pleasant and helpful staff. However, upon arrival, since our room wasn’t ready yet had to wait a bit, which wasn’t an issue. After room was ready, staff at reception just handed the keys and directed us to our room. No information on hotel, what we are entitled to etc. this later was rectified when i went back to the reception and got to speak to another receptionist. They have sent the bottle of Prosecco to the room as an apology, which was a nice gesture. The room we were given was in the ground floor, just right above the kitchen or some sort of service room. Could hear trolleys going back and forth to late night and early hours of the morning, so if you’re a light sleeper, wouldn’t recommend. Possibly other sections of the hotel were better. Lunches and dinners very repetitive, nothing too exciting. But food overall is good and edible. Really enjoyed Mexican and Brazilian restaurants. Pool area is always maintained clean and tidy, as well as pool itself.

Saubere Zimmer und Hotelanlage, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, haben uns hier sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Beim Essen findet jeder etwas, leider ist dies nicht sehr abwechslungsreich.

The service was excellent

Very close to the airport. Lovely hotel and pool areas. Bed was very hard and I’ve come home with a bad back. Only some of the staff were helpful. Lorena on reception seemed to have an attitude for no reason. Another didn’t want me to have a beach towel because I didn’t have cash to loan one even though I said to just charge it to my room however another receptionist happily trusted me to use and return it. Big restaurant with lots of options. With some research I found restaurants nearby with better food (La Casita is an amazing Italian a 10min walk away).

Everything worked as it should. The only thing that let it down was the evening bar service, it can be very slow when busy.

We waren voor het eerst in deze hotel en alles en ik meen alles was goed geen min punt ,de accommodatie was uitstekend,de kamers waren schoon en goed ingericht, het eten was lekker en de personeels overal waren vriendelijk professioneel en behulpzaam. De zwembaden waren verwarmd en de zee op loop afstand en we kunnen in duiken in eind Oktober het was lekker . De hotel is echt aanraden en we gaan vaak daar naartoe het is de geld waard .Super Hotel .

Awful experience this time around. Their Tindaya buffet restaurant has long queues at the door for dinner, where they insist on asking you the room number to give you a ticket for drinks despite your wrist band showing all inclusive. In Castillo you just walk in if all inclusive, no queues. If all inclusive you can dine in both Mar and Castillo. Last November we booked Mar and had dinner numerous times in Mafasca restaurant in Castillo, no booking, just walk in. This year we booked in Castillo, had dinner twice in Tindaya restaurant in Mar with no issues. Third time, after queuing for 10 minutes we were refused entry as we didn't book through the app? Manager Tina was there. Very rude attitude from both manager and the lady at the door. What a joke of a place. Also, Tindaya has an outside terrace which we enjoyed last November, this is now not accessible, although all tables seem set up. Another big complaint is the lack of entertainment this year. We really enjoyed the kids and adults entertainment last November and returned this year to a boring place where the only adult entertainment is the Euro 2024. Last year we had a different show every night, from magic to Spanish dance. Kids disco is now a small show by the pool. A lot to desire for a place that pretends to be 4 star and has only the cheapest drinks included (Bach Cava served is~ €4 at the nearby supermarkets). From the many all inclusive places visited at this price point, Mar is at the bottom of the list.

The staff…I had to extend my stay due to contracting COVID and isolated myself in my room for 5 days… I received random gifts of kindness to my door each day Now where would you find staff that committed if you respect them ?

Very clean and tidy. Excellent staff. More staff required to avoid queueing at the bar at busy times. A bath would have been nice instead of just a shower. overall very good.

Lovely atmosphere, helpful professional staff. Very well presented and well maintained spacious hotel. Lots of entertainment in the evening and at pool during the day. Nice being next to the beach and right in the town at the same time.

E' la terza volta che soggiorniamo in questo hotel e devo dire che nel complesso non è niente male, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, camere spaziose e ben arredate con tutti i confort necessari, colazione ottima, cena buona ( nella media delle struttura 4* in spagna, bene o male c'è sempre qualcosa di buono da mangiare ). Spazi esterni ben organizzati e lettini per tutti, mai avuto problemi, poi essendo direttamente sulla spiaggia era comodo per poter fare il bagno in mare. Il personale sempre molto disponibile a risolvere qualsiasi richiesta...bravi!!!

First impressions of food at pool bar was not good. All served stone cold. Staff apologised. However, breakfast was good & there were great resturants locally. Everything else was good & we enjoyed our stay. Shame the island is so windy!

Overall, we had a great holiday here. The hotel pool was great, the hotel was lovely and clean and the rooms was clean, few nice places round the hotel to eat and met some lovely people, and the hotel was located right next to a lovely beach. However, we went all inclusive and the food was terrible. Everything was stone cold every single day, big lines for certain foods and every single drink at breakfast such as orange juice was warm. Drinks round the pool was good for me, beer was nice and cold, but for my gf there was only 2 cocktails on the all inclusive which she said was not nice. They also barely had any staff at the bar, always a line. On the last day the staff was not happy at me simply holding my drink near the side of the pool and also had ago at another family for having a lie-low in the pool. The aircon was not great in the room, they said they’d send someone up but never bothered. They tell you you get 2 restaurants to book from on all inclusive, but the Brazilian one was fully booked every single day from the time we arrived. And the Mexican one, was just the bar snack area changed to Mexican buffet for tea which wasn’t great. We was extremely disappointed in the food, we ended up eating out most nights which costs us abit after already paying a lot for all inclusive. Overall, we had a nice holiday, but would not go back purely because of how bad the food/ service was. I could have dismissed this a little more if we didn’t spend 2 grand for a week.

Poor accessibility in and around site and in rooms. We requested a stool in the shower as the cubicle is large (good) but for disabled people like us, we cannot balance and wash properly in this size cubical. It never came! Ramps are narrow and hidden in corners. The main bar and outside bar are set up on increasing height steps. Impossible to carry drinks down them. Food was very poor. Almost as bad as 1970s food. Only one choice of white wine at main bar-undrinkable. The estate was like enormous blocks of flats. Not pretty and too far to walk anywhere.

Fint hotell med store fine rom. Uteområde var også veldig fint. Beliggenheten var perfekt til både strand, butikker og restauranter. Rent og pent. Det som Trekkes litt ned for våres del var middagen som ble for mye cafeteria preget. Men med mange restauranter utenfor, så gikk det fint for oss. Vi kommer tilbake!

Everything was just perfect. The room , the staff, the amenities and for sure the breakfast!!!

I booked all inclusive, however the food was exactly the same each day and food that was supposed to be hot was always cold. The food available by the pool for all inclusive was shocking, basic cheap cafetteria style, sat there all day and was cold and dried up. Fruit choices poor, no peach, mango, grapes, pineapple. Room was generally clean however I don’t think the floor was ever mopped. Staff attitude was variable to say the least, some very friendly and nice and others miserable. Even though I was AI you had to pay for the ‘tea and coffee service’ in your room (basically for a staff member to replace the coffee sachets,etc!). The same for the mini bar, so if you wanted even water in your room you had to go to the lobby bar (not the beach bar!) and ask for bottles which were glass, had to take the tops off as no bottle opener and carry them to your room! I asked for a room change when I first arrived, I had hoped for an upgrade as VIP with Hotels.com but of course there was nothing available. My balcony looked on to the children’s playground/kids club and was very dark and depressing. The receptionist said there was nothing available for at least a couple of days but never got back to me either way to change later. Don’t think I will be returning! Also think Hotels.com should review their loyalty perks!
