The property was in a centeral location and only 3 miles from the University of Maryland. the grunds were nice but the pool area was messy and unkept. the Gym or Laundray were not ope do to renavations. the STAFF WAS A SUPER

The hotel is under construction, which was not disruptive, however the laundry and gym were not available which we didn't know when we booked. The room and beds were comfortable, linens fresh, a good size mini-fridge and freezer, and a good location in Greenbelt. We would've benefited from a recycle bin in the room and breakfast included.

I do not normally find anything to be worth complaining about, but i felt that my experience here needed to be voiced as this hotel is not properly represented on their booking. My colleague and I specifically chose this hotel because it had a pool, dining on-site, and it was near by to our destination. When we arrived, there were signs saying that there was construction going on and due to that, the pool, laundry facilities and gym were closed. We were also told that the restaurant on site had been closed since the pandemic and has not been reopened. None of these things were listed on the Expedia booking page. We assumed there would be some sort of conference room/business area for us to work in, but their designated business area was the lobby. We ended up having to sit at a high top table in a fairly busy hallway (for a hotel) off the main lobby to get our work done. The rooms were clean enough, but I could hear the tv and people talking in the room next to me (despite the amenities list saying soundproof rooms). When I went to take a shower in the morning, there was barely any hot water and I ended up taking a fairly cold shower. The sink also didn’t have any cold water. Had I known that there was construction and some amenities would be closed prior to booking, I would’ve booked at a different hotel.

Unfortunately, this property is really showing its age. The facilities are VERY outdated and worn. When we stayed there (September 20-21, 2024), the restaurant was closed for renovations, which was a bummer because we had to find outside dining options. The room itself was ok and the bed was comfortable but the bathroom was sorely in need of remodeling. The plumbing didn't work well and the shower surround was showing rust (mold?) stains. The staff was very courteous and responsive. There was a crazy fight in the hallway one night of our stay and security came up quickly to intervene.

The property was being renovated and all of the indoor amenities where unavailable it was really disappointing the carpets were taped down and half off the building was shut down. I asked for a broom around 4pm and they refused and made us switch rooms bc there was no housekeeping staff there for the rest of the day. The ice machine was also out of order. There is so much i can say about this property i was devastated.

The hotel was run down. Our room had a fast leak in the shower. I found dried contact lenses in the bathroom. M & M’s on the floor. Dusty. Peeling wallpaper. Black gouges in bath tub. And the rug was obviously very dirty.

This property is in very poor condition. There are smells in the room area and the bathrooms were disgusting. I rented two rooms and they were both the same. They have plug-in air fresheners in the hallways as well and on top of that they are doing renovations. I wish this info were available before I paid in advance for these nasty rooms. I was told that because I booked thru Expedia there was nothing that they could do for me.

This was by far the nastiest hotel that I have ever stayed in. I paid for two rooms and they were both dirty, smelled, carpet was moist and bathroom was atrocious. Overall a horrible experience.

My first room was very dirty, all kinds of hair in the bathtub. When I talked to the front desk they switched my room, but this one is just as dirty. I don’t think the room was even cleaned after the last person stayed here. I had to go out and buy my own towel and shower shoes just to feel okay staying here. Definitely will not be staying in a holiday inn again.

The hotel is completely run down. The initial room I was given the bathroom appeared dirty. There was soap suds and hair in the shower and bathroom floor. The staff was kind enough to switch our room but the new room bathroom had a peeling tub. And this time I found a strand of hair in the bed. Because I've been driving all day and had somewhere else to be shortyly i just accepted the room and wasnt able to return until after midnight. I won't be back but hopefully the renovations help when it is done because it was a nice quiet location.

I will never stay at that hotel ever again found roaches in the bathroom and in the near the beds they moved just to a second room and it smelled like pot then finally the third room on the morning of checkout we found more roaches in the bathroom, it was not a good experience, but the employees were awesome

I never leave hotel reviews, so I’ll keep it short and sweet: rooms are irreparably dirty (spider webs, unidentified dried residue on the floors and all the furniture, and mice!!! in the rooms!!!), bathrooms aren’t much better (I ended up buying flip flops from the nearby dollar tree to shower), breakfast buffet is below average and overpriced. The 7th floor is a rundown version of the 5th floor but I can’t speak to the rest of the floors. Hopefully all the renovations going on can fix this place but I’m skeptical. The gym is closed due to ongoing repairs. Only stay here if you really need to…

I had come in for a conference. The front desk staff were rude. The room had roaches and ants. The gym was not functional. When I questioned them about the issues the answer that I got was the hotel is under renovation. There are other good low cost hotels around. Had to book an earlier flight just to get away soon. I forgot to take pictures of the mess probably because I was so done with it. Do not recommend this place to anyone. It’s better to rent a car and stay in it.

The mattress is uncomfortable to where it sinks in the middle. Went downstairs to let them know and immediately they changed my room. But while waiting there was a mouse running around the lobby. I know they are doing renovations they could be the reason why they have a mouse in the lobby.

Lobby was nice and staff were decent. The building was sketch, and under a lot of renovations. Housekeeping staff hollering on the phone on the hallways. Bathroom was dirty upon arrival. Also, we were put in a joined room without our knowledge.

They are in the process of renovating so hopefully some of what I had issues with will be fixed. The property and rooms are very dated: the lights in the rooms were delayed, our fridge wasn’t even plugged in when we got there and didn’t work once plugged in, the outlets were worn so things wouldn’t stay in the plugs, half the TV channels didn’t work.

Clogged bathroom sinks are very common. WiFi has not worked on any of my visits there. The tv channel selection is minimal to dreadful. Hot water was good and refrig was decent size. Microwave lacks any power due to age. Did offer housekeeping. No gym access due to renovation

All was good but when I went to watch a final 4 basketball game from my room the TV did not have TNT, TBS or Tru TV available. I was told the carrier was being updated. I had to leave the hotel and find a bar/restaurant that was showing the game.

Property charged my an extra $181.40 and after calling multiple times was told they don’t know where that money was taking from but to dispute it with my bank. The front desk employee was extremely rude when we went to check in and another group of friends of ours staying a floor below us found a cockroach in their room.

Had sign up do not come in room when we are not here. Housekeeping came into the room any way took all the towels did not replace them, didn’t fill up the tissue box , took our sample soap did not replace it,tub was peeling paint every time you took a shower.I will never stay in this Holiday Inn again in Greenbelt, MD. It ruined our family get together. Over all rating is a 1 for this hotel.

Got a handicap room. No shower chair although one receptionist said she would send one up. Didn’t show up in three days. Other one was very rude. Is being renovated so no laundry or rec room. Services supervisor was very helpful when my wife locked door and wouldn’t answer.

We arrived to find most of the amenities closed for renovation. Our key cards kept not working and we had to come down to the front desk to get them fixed both days we were there. The staff was lovely and we liked that there's daily housekeeping.

Property under renovations and I was not told. Pool was closed and it wasn’t posted. Staff at front desk wasn’t welcoming and could answer a single question and didn’t seem to care that she couldn’t. Hotel was gross and filthy so I’d look elsewhere. I always stay at Holiday Inn but this one needs to be closed until it’s refurbished .

11•16风用明• Hello. My family and I were staying at the hotel. Around 4:30 a.m. on 07/02/23 my car was broken into. According to a posted sign, the hotel is not responsible for theft. That should have been a sign to not stay at this location. What I do not understand is how can such a reputable hotel not have a functioning security system? To make matters worse, there is security at the hotel who happens to be useless if he/she is not being vigilant. Two more cars have been broken into (2 days apart) since mine. This leads me to believe either the hotel does not care about the guests or it's an inside job. Why would someone constantly break into vehicles, at this location, unless they know nothing will come of it. There is absolutely no reason for a million dollar company to not have a security system that does not function. Said million dollar company should also have u E Edit Feedback

Although they say they are remodeling the hotel, the room we were assigned was very old, the bathroom was in terrible condition. According to the hotels.com reservation it said that breakfast for two was included and we were told at the hotel that this did not apply.

The property was old and old. It is under renovations. Although the cleaning staff is good they're only so much they can do for an old hotel. It does have potential though. I took my daughter to the swimming pool and it smelled like garbage because the trash cans are so close to the pool. Also, the $15 buffet is NOT worth it. Nice dining area BUT the food is NOT good. The front desk day staff is so indifferent to their patrons. Overall, until they remodel, get a better buffet going, move the trash cans, and basically finish with the remodel... I don't recommend.

I have stayed at this property numerous times over the years as the corporate HQ for the firm I work for is across the parking lot from them. I have not been there since before the pandemic, and the degree to which the property has declined is noticeable. The property used to have a bar and restaurant with decent room service. Those no longer exist (although still mentioned in the on-line property description). All that is left is a breakfast service -- but that doesn't start until 7 a.m. But it is not just that -- there are no longer vending machines on each floor. If you want a soda in the middle of the night you can go to the font desk where they have a pathetic little refrigerator with some sodas in it. Staff is nice...room seemed clean enough, but boy has this place fallen on hard times...
