Outside landscaping was overgrown. Eatery was closed when we came down the next morning. Staff was nowhere to be found.

Loved the vintage vibe in the history behind the location. The speakeasy bar was beautiful and the food in the eatery was delicious.

This is an old house turned into a hotel. The bar is gorgeous. The hallway, lobby & check in area are charming. The room looks exactly like the photo. The hand crafted cocktails are wonderful. That’s all the positive things I can say. Below are the cons: - the cafe and other rooms are under construction. We weren’t notified of this ahead of time. - the ONLY hotel employee we ever saw was the bartender. We had to call a number & check ourselves in. - the bed and pillows are rock hard - the furniture in the room is stained - there is no thermostat in the room so you can’t control the ac/heat. - the paper in the room said the bar opened at 4p. It didn’t. - when we came in that night we decided to get a nightcap. We got there at 9:45p. The bartender immediately told us it was last call. The bar doesn’t close until 11p. We may have been there over night by ourselves we have no idea. When we left that morning no one was there to check us out. Just left the key on the desk. Weirdest experience we have ever had at a hotel. I don’t recommend staying here. It is not a charming bed & breakfast to visit.

Not your average hotel. This is place has all the charm. It is absolutely older, but seems well maintained. Check in and check out were a breeze. Every area of this place is very clean and peaceful. The bar was a fun hang out spot in the evenings and the eatery has the freshest food! I absolutely suggest checking both out even if you do not stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and informative, especially Tru! We thought Tru owned the place until we asked him; he was around so often and was so helpful, we are glad we had the pleasure of meeting him. The beds were really comfortable and all linens were provided. There is no pool, but that was not an issue for us as we chose to visit the springs! We were within walking distance of downtown where there were so many places to grab a drink, a bite or catch some live music. Great spot if you’re visiting De Leon Springs, Downtown Deland or even Sanford! We would absolutely stay here again if we visit the area in the future.
