Unfortunately for a hotel located in a active area of Tampa the gym had limited hours from 8am-10pm. As someone who is an early riser 8am was about 3 hours to late for me to get a workout in. I inquired at the front desk as why and wasn’t given a direct response. I’m not sure that they spent a lot of time cleaning the equipment as I purposely left a half a cup of water placed on a shelf and it was still left there the following day. The second issue is that the rooftop bar was very accessible without having a reservation ? Made no sense as they only served small limited appetizers and didn’t have a dedicated kitchen.

The hotel itself is nice and the staff is nice. The unexpected costs and hidden fees is what made me unhappy. You must use valet parking, 26 dollars a night plus tip. They told me about the 38 dollars a night but then another 100 hold fee, which is standard I suppose but at least tell me it is coming. Then the cost of stuff of property is outrageous. One drink is 16 dollars like dang! Dress code for everything, should tell that too before someone books, like I am on my way to the beach, I did not book business casual.

Private “beach” was not available during sunset because some people were shooting a horrible c tier short film. Pool was taped off. This wasn’t mentioned to us during booking. Also, although the food at Julian is really good, they have a horrible gnat issue where multiple of them will land in your food and drinks.

The stay was beautiful! Very quiet, clean & the people downstairs were so kind & nice. All the way to the front desk, the bar; the pool & both restaurants. The view was beautiful. I would absolutely stay there again.

Bed was very comfortable. Floor had something sticky by table and floor was very dusty. Rooftop bar service was not good, lobby bar service was excellent. Disappointed that only parking option is paid valet, we were not made aware in advance that $25/day was only option. Valet service was very prompt. Overall it was on ok stay but hotel has a communication issue. Likely will not stay here again.

There was a huge stain on the mattress house keeping made minimal effort to clean it off. Fortunately I brought cleaning supplies with me and my husband had to hold the mattress while cleaning it, the house cleaner wanted me to believe that it was due to mattress being old but miraculously I was able to to scrub it off. Also don’t expect much byway of housekeeping them actually cleaning the room they will only make the bed and give two sets of towels although there are four guest to a room. I will say the front desk did give us vouchers for breakfast which was appreciated but housekeeping is lacking.

Gorgeous hotel! Amazing and friendly staff from valet to front desk. Stunning view from our room of the bay. We didn’t get to use the pool or outdoor areas because it was unseasonably cold, but they were beautiful too. Rooms are clean and the bed was very comfortable.

This hotel is really nice and very clean. The staff is very friendly. The only thing I didn't like is how thin the walls are in the rooms. You can hear word for word conversations going on in the rooms next to you. If you have top secret info, you better whisper because we can hear it all. Other than this, the room was very nice and clean.

Checked in Christmas Day, hotel was beautifully decorated. The location is perfect, right on the beach. Rooms look new and modern, floor to ceiling windows.

We had 2 rooms booked and requested one be a king, but when we checked in both were queens. The room 216 AC was not working, we left for an event and when we got back, the staff had not fixed it and were gone for the night. So spent 2 nights in a humid 78degree room.

The room was spacious and super clean. The beds were great, the staff was nice. The pool was not actually an infinity pool, and my biggest complaint is that the paper products were so cheap. Such a nice hotel room, such incredibly cheap paper products in the room at a cheap plastic toilet seat. These diminished the quality of the experience, but overall we were very happy. The shower was awesome! Loved the rainfall showerhead!

Lamont, the front desk employee made the visit for my and my husband. From the moment we walked in he greeted us with a great attitude. We were tired from an unexpected long drive, (Tampa Roads are awful and the driver's aggressive). When we walked in, Lamont set the tone there was a piano playing jazz music and we missed the happy hour by a few minutes and were treated to a small discount that made ALL the difference. It was for that reason that we came back every night and paid full price for drinks regardless of time, because that first night showed us that were more than a business transactions, we were guest. Lamont, you made the difference. The Current is lucky to have you.

The staff at the hotel was outstanding. They truly made my stay enjoyable. Every single person was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful, which I appreciated immensely. The extra effort they made did not go unnoticed. Additionally, the views from my room were absolutely breathtaking.

I called ahead to let the staff know we would be checking in late and that we would need a cot in the room as we are traveling with an infant. we arrived at approximately 11:30pm, the woman checking us in was not welcoming at all and when we get upstairs there was no cot in the room! we then had to call down as I had to calm my 3 month old baby and wait for the cot. after it finally came it was broken, the same guy who brought it up spent over 10 minutes trying to set it up himself, and was barely able to, I have a picture of how it was left in the room. I had to sleep in the bed with my infant which is not considered safe but at least I wasn't scared of the broken cot collapsing in on my child. I only booked this hotel because there were no high end Hiltons in the area but I'd rather drive 20 miles to the nearest Hilton in the future. And lastly, we went to the restaurant at 8:20am on sunday before heading to the airport and were greeted by a very rude woman who waved us along to a table from a distance threw our menus on the table and walked away. I'm not sure where this staff gets trained but they are not made for hospitality.

To start, they gave me a lower category room, I pay for a king extended room and the gave me a standard king room. On top of that, the second day my room was locked and can’t get inside, they switched rooms on us but nothing was offered for the inconvenience. Food was just ok and service need lot of improvement. For the price you definitely should get much better customer service.

I had an amazing time at the Current hotel. I will most definitely be back. Starting off check-in was smooth and easy and was presented with a nice chilled glass of champagne for me and my wife to get the ball running for a beautiful weekend stay… We really enjoyed our rooms. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were clean and spotless What a beautiful water view… one thing I definitely have to say the food and drinks were fantastic ! The food and drinks at the top floor restaurant Casa Cami was everything! We dined three days in a row, and the drinks were amazing… everyone Of those drinks Were made perfectly. Now for the food, immaculate, outstanding that I even ordered seconds and thirds! The number one favorite thing I ate was the Carnitas tacos wow! The guacamole was amazing, the ceviche delicious, the snapper Crudo also fantastic! But definitely the star are all the tacos. Super delicious and moist! All in all the only thing I would say needs a little bit of work is valet, but that was nothing compared to the experience we had at this hotel. Will definitely be back love the staff everyone was friendly five stars!

The front desk male was rude and seem as if it was an inconvenience when I told him that I paid for a Bayview room and they gave me the wrong room. He had an attitude to change it to the correct room. Also, when I ask for new towels, they did bring it, but it was supposed to have daily room service and that did not happen.

Excellent hotel for the price, compared to others in Tampa. Not a walkable area, but there are many restaurants nearby and with the pool & beach you dont want to leave. We loved our stay and will be back.

Close to airport (but not too close). Located in an area with access to highways that can get you to the St. Pete's, Clearwater, downtown Tampa or north of Tampa without having to navigate backroads or city blocks. Excellent staff, valet makes coming and going super convenient, great view of the bay, clean and comfortable.

I loved my stay here for the week. The Julian had some amazing dining options in the restaurant as well as for room service. The drinks were pretty good too. My only set back was the rooftop bar that was advertised on the site and in other areas when researching the property. It’s closed until sometime next year and has been closed for months but nothing was advertised that states it is closed. It might be someone’s determining factor in booking a stay there opposed to other properties so maybe an updated “temporarily closed for renovations” ad could give people an honest take on what condition they’ll be expecting the property to be in. I stayed on the fourth floor and one night the entire floor smelled of excrement, but it went away after a few hours so that shows they are on top of their business. Awesome stay outside of that.

We had an excellent time celebrating our first wedding anniversary. Property is gorgeous, rooms are clean and well kept, restaurant Casa Cami for dinner was amazing, Julian for breakfast was delicious and staff were just so accommodating and friendly.

We were really disappointed in the staff. Our iron was broken and we had to ask 3 times for an iron that worked. The food was mediocre and the service was horrible. It is a pretty hotel but the staff is terrible along with how expensive it is. Would not return.

The hotel is really beautiful and new. Our view of the bay was amazing beautiful to look at. It rained so we didn’t get to use the pool but the restaurants and bars in the hotel serve great food!
