The property was walking distance to many good restaurants and festivities going on downtown. The parking situation is atrocious!!!!!!! You have to park in a gated lot across the street....but set back where you have walk a ways down the streets. There is a small landing in front of the hotel that can fit 1-2 cars at best ( if both of them are not bigger cars). Most of the time that is occupied, so you literally have to drag all of your luggage down a street and

The bar had one person working as bartender and cook. While she was doing her best to attend to the customers, this backed up service. It took 22 minutes to get our beverage order taken through no fault of her own. The “free breakfast” was understaffed as well. No bowls for cereal, no cream for coffee, empty hot pans, etc. The staff was friendly and the rooms were adequate but management has to reassess the food and beverage scene

The pool was closed, so I could not enjoy that. Had to switch rooms on check in due to the first room a/c no blowing, and the refrigerator was frozen and not working. The remote for the TV was missing. When moved to 2nd room, it was much better. No complaints on 2nd room

Everything about it was very good. Except the parking. It's a minor inconvenience - and I get the limited options downtown - but it was the only negative to our stay. A hike like that could be a challenge to the elderly, infirmed, or even to everybody in extreme weather. Precipitation, sub-freezing temps, high humidity, or heavy rain. Glad it wasn't one of those for our stay.

You can hear trains all night long. They didn’t put bags in their trash cans just left them for you to do it. The food and bar were absolutely awful. Food was terrible and the bartender was the only one cooking and serving the bar. Told other customers all the other food around that was good. The shower pressure was terrible. I would not stay again.

We spent a night here on our way to Florida from Virginia. The hotel itself is very clean and we found Florence to be a quaint town. We had reserved a King room, but when we checked in after 3, were told that a King wasn't ready. They offered us a double Queen, which was fine. The staff wasn't remarkably welcoming... Seemed they'd rather be elsewhere. The most disappointing part of the stay was the condition of the swimming pool. There was no filtration. We found a pool full of hair (other people's) and insects. We didn't detect this until after we'd entered... Gross. I do not want this to be a bad review in that the physical hotel was clean and everything it was billed to be. The staff and the filthy pool were far less that we'd hoped.

Truly unfortunate that the restaurant was closed because you had no staff there to work it! We specifically chose a location with an onsite restaurant so that after driving for more than 14 hours, we could enjoy a dinner and drinks in our hotel. So disappointed!

Beds were terrible, spider on one of the beds, stained sheets on the other. Went down for breakfast at 9:00 the next morning (breakfast until 9:30) and there were no clean glasses, silverware or bowls. Asked the front desk person (who was the only staff person on the floor) and she stated that they knew and were being washed but tha she would text the kitchen staff to let them know. No estimation on time to having clean dishes…so we ultimately just went back to the room and checked out.

The property needs updating. AC did not work in my room. It was freezing! Worst night of trying to sleep I’ve ever had. Staff was friendly and The ones that were at work tried everything to fix the heat issue. Maintenance wasn’t on duty. They didn’t fix the issue until the next afternoon. Don’t think I’ll be starting here again. Wouldn’t recommend

Beautiful hotel and furnishings. Room and bath spotless. Heat AC excellent system and quiet. Bed great. Water pressure so weak shower was really difficult. Bkfst poorly managed. Parking is offsite.

Very nice clean hotel. Great breakfast. Very modern. However, the first impression was with one of the ladies on reception. She was not there for 25minutes after we arrived at 4pm. I had to walk round the hotel and find the kitchen staff and ask them to find her! After she appeared she was still facetiming her partner and kept the call on while she was checking us in - terrible. After that bad start all was fine, and the lady on reception the next day couldnt be better.

My check in was horrible. The hotel cancelled my reservation for none payment. My reservation confirmation was “Pay at property”. I was told that Hotels.com cancelled the reservation because the payment didn’t go through. Which made no sense because my reservation was pay at property. We were attending an event, had driven in tow and half hours with no hotel room. The hotel said they were sold out. We were changing our clothes in the bathroom off the lobby. The hotel d front agent came into the bathroom and I have a room if you still want it. She said, “ a room just came open”. “The night auditor cancelled your reservation early in the AM for nine payment, but failed to read “Pay at property” on the reservation. I am sorry this is our fault. Although we ended up with a room that was very upsetting and heartbreaking. I had made that reservation in Dec28, 2025. I never received anything from hotels.com stating my reservation had been cancelled. This was a horrible experience!

I arrived at the hotel around 8:30pm. It was dark and the parking was not marked clearly. I ended up parking across the street in a parking lot. When I arrived at the hotel desk, there was no attendant present. The bartender saw me walk in and never asked to assist me. After standing there for 20 minutes, I asked the bartender if anyone could check me in. He found the attendant down the hallway in a room. When the desk attendant came out of the room, he was hanging up his phone so obviously he had been on a phone call. When I asked about the parking, he stated the parking was through the dark alley in a gated area behind the police station. When I asked if there was any security who could escort me to move my car, he stated there was no security and he could not guarantee my car would be safe in the parking lot if it wasn't in the gated area. Since he wasn't willing to ensure my safety, I left my car and hoped it would not be towed. Not very helpful from anyone at the hotel that night!

Property was in downtown area but still easily accessible from either I20 or I95. The downtown area was nicely streetscaped and walking to local BBQ felt entirely safe. The room was up to date and cleanest we have encountered on this trip, and an amazingly comfortable set-up. The staff was friendly from arrival (Kerri-Anne) to departure (Matt). We would stay there without hesitation in the future.

This hotel looks great from the outside and has very nice outdoor seating. It also has a very convenient unloading/loading area which you will need because parking is across the street in a far-off lot. We parked and then walked to dinner. We didn't need our car again until we checked out. Cute little downtown area. We had a very good dinner at Wholly Smokin. The hotel has an appealing lobby and bar. However, the elevators seem dated and doors on every floor for every guest room are scarred and have paint chipping. Our room though was spacious, clean and modern. We also found breakfast to be pretty good with lots of options. I would stay here again if ever nearby.

Hotel was located in town. Food and bar service at hotel was there but no one was working. Found a great BBQ place that was a block away. Awakened frequently during the night by the trains going by. Didn't realize hotel was that close to tracks. Probably wouldn't stay again.

Clean hotel with friendly staff. Centrally located in downtown Florence and easy access to I-95. Stopped on a trip back to New York from Florida to rest up between days of driving. Perfect spot for a night of rest at a reasonable price.

There are two drawbacks to this property. First (and most significant) is that parking is a block away so you need to schlep your bags a bit. Second, there is a fairly actively train track nearby. We were at the end of the hotel facing the tracks. I did hear a train once but it was very quiet (unlike the train in My Cousin Vinny :-). The hotel is in a good location (downtown as it says). Couple of bars and restaurants within a block or so.

We enjoyed the clean and well kept room on our overnight layover on our way to Folly Beach. Check in and out we're both very easy and fast. The barn had great drinks and a cool bartender. We liked the food too. The second floor terrace is nice too. We will definitely stay here again when heading south for a layover stay.

I wish Hyatt Place would upgrade the scramble egg on the menu. The powdered eggs are not very good. It's not the staff's fault. I'm sure it is a corporate decision. Step up the breakfast menu.

The hotel itself was very nice. However, the restaurant which is part of the bar was terrible. They were out of most items on the menu and the items they did have seem to come out very quickly from a microwave. Other than that it would’ve been a perfect day.
