Blue Holbox

Fantastic hotel at the beach, well located at walking distance from the center (10 min walk along shoreline). We booked the very spacious garden bungalow equipped with a powerful rainshower, AC, ceiling fans and beds with mosquito nets. Warm welcoming during check-in. Amazing gym in the middle of the garden. Breakfast with sea-view (only the orange juice was dissapointing, the rest of the food was splendid). After check-out we were still allowed to use the beachbeds and the shower at the reception. Highly recommended!

El lugar es privado, tiene acceso a la playa y muchos camastros, excelente área de playa, muy limpia.

We had a 7 night stay here (first time in Holbox) and the Superior beach front, second floor has a stunning view of the ocean and grounds. Beautiful grounds with a rustic vibe. The room was spacious and had a great shower and ample closets. Bed was comfortable but linens were a bit scratchy. Definitely rustic and we loved it—but you need to be okay with a glamping experience. Walls are really thin and you can hear the ocean waves (yes!) birds and the loud golf carts (less great) through the walls. The rooms are special and the hammocks and beach loungers are comfy and clean. Restaurant is fine but nothing special. Breakfast was ample and fine. We had lunch and dinner here once, I wouldn’t recommend unless in a pinch. The drinks are great and they will deliver yo the beach for you. We had a leak under the sink which was tended to but it leaked the entire stay. I kind of expect this in Mexico near the beach as I’ve had the experience in the past at other hotels. Front staff is helpful and reserved transfers to and from airport. I would definitely come back to the property.

The location of the property is great. Away from the hustle and bustle of Holbox town it’s nice and quiet and at the bottom of the resort is the lovely hotel restaurant and sand area and then the beach which is lovely and clean. Lovely lounge beds and the staff will bring you cocktails by the beach or food if you like. The restaurant was really convenient as the main town is a good 20 minute walk away, not always possible with a toddler. The pool is a really nice size and covered in enough shade and great for children. Our own bungalow was beautiful and had good mosquito nets. The bathroom is basic but has lovely charm. We had our own balcony to our bungalow with hammock which we could relax on in the evening. The staff were really lovely and friendly at both the restaurant and front desk.

El servicio del hotel muy mediocre igual q la limpieza, la comida y la atención . Parece que hacen lo mínimo indispensable nada más . Nos desepcionamos :(

Wonderful experience all around-the spacious room overlooked the ocean and had a lovely balcony - the breakfast was included and was a delicious buffet. The staff was so friendly and helpful with our return transportation - it was a great trip to Holbox made all the better by a perfect hotel.

Ubicación perfecta. Las habitaciones necesitan ser remodeladas. Falta iluminación y mejorar el aire acondicionado y la limpieza.

Superbe hôtel intime en bord de mer. Idéalement situé en face de la plus belle partie de la plage. Très bonne restauration. Climatisation peu performante en raison du type de chambre, mais ça vaut le coup pour le dépaysement :-) On reviendra !

Great location. Staff is super friendly. Didn’t like the bar style swinging doors separating room from bathroom. They are in your way all the time.

This beach front hut was exactly what we were looking for. It is rustic but beautiful and excellent view from your bed. We loved housekeeping, so kind and helpful, absolutely amazing. The front desk always replied yo my messages right away and were friendly. The restaurant staff was amazing, worked extremely hard, excellent cold drinks and great fiah tacos

The bungalow rooms are very rustic. Old bathrooms w old tile but clean. Linens were nice as were bed firmness. Air conditioner just barely enough to keep room tolerable. Poor lighting unless you open all the wooden shades but not well lit at night. Great beachfront location convenient to walk to town and stores.

Hicimos hace meses la reserva, en la web de hoteles figuraba el pago hecho. cuando llegamos al hotel no estaba acreditado el pago. Nos dieron la posibilidad de retirarnos sin costo alguno, ya que la habitacion (no nos dejaron entrar, solo verla desde afuera) y el complejo no era lo que esperabamos. Al dia siguiente nos cargaron el pago a la tarjeta sin habernos alojado. Hicimos el reclamo en el Hotel, y en la web de Hoteles.com, sin ningun tipo de respuesta. Hace 10 años que alquilamos continuamente con Hoteles.com, nunca nos paso algo asi. Un desastre total.

Location of the beachfront bungalow is the positive part! Service is terrible - per whats app! Overall service super limited and not according to the high cost! Breakfast choice very limited and staff unfriendly. Overall not worth the cost!!!

Me pidieron hacer un depósito por $2000 al check in, al hacer mi check out no me regresaron ese depósito, me dijeron que ya habían cancelado el pago y que mi banco me lo regresaría días después, situación que no ha sucedido ya que ellos no han cancelado ningún cargo, todo lo contrario me cobraron los $2000 más $900 de un consumo que realizamos

My husband and I had a great time at Blue Holbox. A horrible hurricane hit the island two days before we arrived. The staff did an extraordinary job to make the stay amazing. The resort is right across the road from the beach. The food and staff were awesome. We were walking distance from downtown.

Me pusieron problema al entrar porqe no reciben tarjeta de credito AMEX. Por otra parte en ningun lugar dicen que hay que dejar un deposito de 50 dolares con tarjeta para consumos de minibar, con reintegro supuestamente que al dia de hoy no han hecho.

We stayed in the older, garden view section. The accomodations are dated but nice bungalow style. Staff, especially Gustavo at the front desk, were very responsive to issues. Charlie, Roy and Damien, the waiters at the bar/restaurant, were awesome - engaging and fun. We enjoyed our stay very much and the location was awesome.

We were not able to reach Holbox island and Blue Holbox on planned day, due to bad weather. No info from Hotel, but luckily I found out on my own. Called hotel and let them know we would be 1 day late. Upon arrival 1 day later, our booking was canceled. Room was avaliable, but price became a problem. First I got a "good pice", but hours after checking in I was asked to pay more. I felt cheated, as we had already moved into one of the bungalows. Rest of the stay was good.

Loved the resort. The breakfast on the beach was very nice. The location is good too especially if you want to walk the sand bar.

Nice hotel with a pretty beach in front. It’s in a quieter area away from town but still a pleasant walk to get back. Second time staying here and we’ll be back again.

Great location

La playa es hermosa!, la mejor de la isla. En cuanto al hotel: todos los días el desayuno es igual, bastante básico, la alberca igual super básica, digamos que ni se usa, el cuarto tiene una vista priceless, pero al ser como una cabañita se escuhcan muchísimo los ruidos del otro cuarto y cuando caminan arriba se siente como que tiembla.

fuimos a este hotel para celebrar mi cumpleaños, nos gusto este hotel por las fotos de la playa y la experiencia de los bungalos, al llegar al hotel nos recibieron muchos mosquitos así que no olvides llevar repelente que es algo que no te dicen, al hacer el check in me llevo la sorpresa que no estaba pagada mi reservación a pesar que la realice en Expedia y el hotel no acepta AMEX así que tuvimos que pagar con efectivo que llevaba para gastos en la isla y no solo eso también te exigen pagar un deposito de 2 mil pesos no se por que razón así que prácticamente me dejaron sin efectivo para mi viaje pésimo la verdad, para que era hielo a lo que le comentamos que era para nuestros tragos y el nos comento que eso no podíamos hacer que teníamos que consumir obligatoriamente del bar, le comente que éramos huéspedes del hotel y que como era posible que no podíamos estar en las instalaciones del hotel ridículo, se fue y dijo que enviaría a alguien para que nos explique, no llego nadie y jamás regreso el mesero a veces pasaba frente a nosotros sin decirnos nada ni tampoco ofrecernos nada, pesimo servicio la verdad, después en la noche nos dio flojera salir y decidimos cenar en el restaurante del hotel llegamos y estaba vacío éramos los únicos pedimos un pescado frito y un pulpo a las brasas, pescado muy grasosos y el pulpo no era completo solo unos pedazos de pulpo con mucha guarnición, en la mañana mi novia se sintió mal del estomago, fuimos al desayuno incluido muy básico ella comió u

La situation de l hébergement est parfaite, calme face à la mer, personnel à l écoute et agréable. Le moins est le petit déjeuner, pas varié, pas de jus de fruit frais, et le restaurant qui ferme à 18h .
