O Elétrico Guesthouse

Very clean room and bathroom… building was a bit run down but aside from that it was great!

Our stay in Lisbon was very enjoyable. Lisbon is a very walkable city if you don’t mind hills. The guesthouse was exceptionally clean. I liked having a full opening window/balcony to look down on the street. The front-desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The guesthouse was located very close to everything a tourist would need (metro, food, laundry, attractions). The street is a bit noisy at night but bearable. Just close your window and shutters. Please don’t let the street dissuade you from staying here. We felt very safe. I would highly recommend this guesthouse if staying on a budget.

The building was poor. The rooms were ok

This hotel has changed dramatically since the pictures were taken, as advertised by Hotel.com. I would never have booked this ‘hotel’ had they shown current pictures. We arrived at 9pm the first night, but we left the following day. The hotel was in a lower socio-economic area which doesn’t scare or bother me, but the fact that we saw only men at night and people openly using hard drugs. I think Hotels.com needs to do a better job of vetting their hotels. The difference between the advertised pictures and the actual reality was startling and completely unacceptable. It is maddening to me that I was dupped by this hotel. Much of what they offer and the pictures are completely FALSE!!! I lost something around $150.
