The property is a convenient location to the downtown. We went during the Harvest Fest, which made finding a parking spot almost impossible, so that was stressful as we paid good money to stay at this property. There is no parking dedicated to guests at the Lowell Inn. The check in process was very unwelcoming.

The Lowell Inn is a lovely 1927 hotel, charming in every detail. Second time we've stayed here, and we'll be back again. Each room is different, so you'll find a style/period you love (this time we picked a more-or-less rococo style suite). The front-desk personnel were friendly and genuine, and breakfast the next morning was excellent (thick toast, homemade jam, fluffy eggs, monster slices of bacon). Be warned that there's no convenient elevator (you have to go to the city parking garage to find one — that works, but it's a bit of a walk. There are quite a few charming places to stay in and around Stillwater, but this will be our home whenever we visit.

There is no elevator. The room smelled of mold, thus the air conditioner simply spread mold spores around. The bathroom was almost as small as an airplane restroom. The sink was so narrow you literally could not wash your hands without getting water all over the floor. The accommodations were very disappointing. We will not return.

We were happily greeted by staff and the room was beautiful along with the lobby, dining, and outside architecture! A true piece of precious history to enjoy. Location is perfect allowing us to walk to any restaurant or store and leave the car parked in the validated parking ramp.

Historic hotel that has kept its charm. Lovely antiques throughout. Historic rooms are spacious - with updated baths and very comfortable beds. Beautiful patio for dining or drinks. Restaurant is beautifully appointed and has great food.

I think for the price of the rooms the INN is in need of some updating. I also did not find the staff very friendly, and I did not like the fact that there is not a bar and only fondue is offered for dinner.

Great location in downtown Stillwater. Rooms were clean but there was a faint odor. This is not a convenient hotel for people with different abilities. 1) The elevator was broken and had been for some time based on conversation with front desk. My spouse uses a scooter. We had to traverse the parking deck to navigate between 2nd floor and 1st floor. 2) Also our room was not in the original part of the hotel...those rooms were really nice but not handicap accessible. 3) Our room was above the banquet center and at night could hear party music below.

The hotel's description of being historic is certainly accurate, however, it could use some forms of updating here and there. I wouldn't want them to update the hotel to be 20th century modern, but some things getting updated wouldn't be the worst thing for this hotel. They didn't provide shampoo AND conditioner, they had conditioning shampoo, so having nicer complementary toiletries would go a long way in addition to new towels. The air conditioning worked fine in our room, but the TV did not - we could only get 1 channel. We were in town for a wedding so that wasn't important, but little things like this make a difference. We also noticed that the pricing for hotels over a wedding weekend tripled and the elevator was broken to the car garage next door, so it would have been nice to carry luggage/wedding things to our car via an elevator. This hotel is fine if you are there during the week (paying regular rates) and you enjoy historic/quaint hotels.

It was historic, but there was a very strong musty smell. The rooms were not very functional - rooms have windows to the hallway. They had mini blinds but it was like daylight in our room all night from the light in the hallway. The light to the bathroom is outside the bathroom by the door so if you use it in the middle of the night you have to blind your partner until you get into the bathroom. There was also no counter space just a pedestal sink. There was plenty of room for some additional shelves.

We were generally disappointed with the state of our room. The radiator was covered in brown stains that appeared to have been a soda that exploded all over and never cleaned up. We located blood stains in the bathroom that were not cleaned prior to our arrival. Upon notifying management we were told it was probably "red wine" and they could not move us to another room. They did clean up the blood with Clorox wipes, but seemed irritated with it. At $260.00 a night it was disappointing.

The entryway smelled old and stale, carpeted hallways smelled old and stale. The ventilation was poor, especially in the hallways. The building needs a major remodel/update. The room was clean, small. The ice machine was broken, the coffee machine was located on second floor and offered a terrible brew; the decaf was crystals in a packet. Few to no amenities for such a pricey stay. No coffee/tea maker in room. The room was small. The place needs a major restoration.

The room was simple but very clean and the shower in the bathroom was fabulous! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also loved the little balcony on our room to sit and drink our morning coffee which was complimentary and very good. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and the food was homemade and delicious. Location was ideal and everything we needed was in walking distance. We hope to go back again someday!

My husband and I had a fun time staying here however, don’t book a stay here if you’re a light sleeper. There is a lot of people who enjoy the night life and it is NOT quiet. The rooms are not soundproof either, so if you’re like us and have some belligerent drunk neighbors who want to yell at each other at 1am, you’ll hear it all.

FIRST OF ALL IT SAID WE HAD A VIEW OF THE RIVER AND ALL WE SAW WAS THE ROOF. THEN IT SAID IT WAS A DOUBLE ROOM AND ONLY ONE SMALL ROOM AND THE KING SIZE BED TOOK OVER HALF OF THAT .AND IT WAS ALMOST $400.00 FOR ONE NIGHT, IT WAS BROBABLY WORTH MAYBE $200.00. All linen had a gray, unclean hue, had to step up to bathroom, small tv, my room was farthest away from garage -I’m 74 and bringing my luggage and step up to bathroom was difficult. No housekeeping first night-stayed three days. No tub which I had assumed from pictures. Difficult to find charging block for devices. Not a great stay.
