This hotel is very clean and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. The parking is valet only or street parking on Michigan Ave. Valet are efficient and kind but there is limited space to wait for valet which is hectic at check in time or rush hour. A little noisy in the AM due to location but bed was comfortable and convenient later check out time!

Did NOT like having to pay for parking VALET should be a choice NOT an only option for your vehicles safety and available parking. Its either the street or valet for $35.00 a night. Streets are packed with no space. Its RIDICULOUS to charge for parking when your already paying for a room. NEVER AGAIN

Lovely hotel right in the heart of Corktown. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Front desk was responsive. The one drawback was that we made a reservation for the I/O rooftop lounge outside and when we showed up they had a private party.

First time, not a fan of the limited choices in the restaurant but the overall hotel was great. The front desk staff have limited knowledge of how late the restaurant stayed open and how late they served food, which made us have to walk to Irish pub across the street. But other than that, it was for my husbands Birthday and we will stay again.

Valet parking is pricey. No other parking option. Brand new hotel w/ numerous amenities. Top floor lounge is stunning. Great location in Corktown, close to MGM Grand Casino & other historical attractions. When dining at the Hamilton restaurant I found the servers / service to be somewhat average.

I really enjoyed this property however, the valet service was HORRIBLE! I waited for more than 40 minutes and then was dismissed when I went to inquire with a manager. This propriety requires valet given the location of the hotel. Please do better!!

The Hotel was very clean, and the staff was very polite and very professional. The Rooms were very updated, and the atmosphere was very elegant. I truly enjoyed the Valet parking and assistance with the luggage. Would definitely recommend this Hotel to all travelers!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights, and it was lovely. The entire staff, from the valet to the front desk, was extremely friendly and attentive. Alicia (I believe the manager) checked on us via text during our stay, and when I mentioned a small issue, she was ready to do what she could to make it better. The hotel was modern and clean, and it appeared to be well-maintained. It was great having access to Hamilton's, which had a delicious breakfast. It's close to a neighborhood, which was nice since I brought my dog and needed a place to relieve her. My only complaints were that housekeeping didn't empty one of our trash bins prior to our arrival, and I found a piece of hair in the shower. Additionally, our shower head had a drip, which was annoying, and we had to put down a hand towel to muffle the sound. Finally, there are quite a few unhoused individuals in the area, and I did spot one of them walking in the nearby parking lot and looking into car windows. We also believe a car was burgled on the street nearby one night. However, I recognize these are things out of the control of the hotel staff, and I'm not counting this against them. Finally, the area is walkable and pretty close to everywhere we visited.

The rooms are too small for the price. The air conditioner barely worked and shut down in the middle of the night. So, I woke up so hot I had difficulty breathing. The lighting was poor and some switches didn't work. I was also disturbed by garbage trucks or dump trucks around 6am every morning. The bed was also uncomfortable for such a high price. The room was dirty too. Also, the staff was unprofessional and rude. I've stayed in much better places for a fraction of the price.

The room was very nice but the lighting and thermostat was a little hard to figure out. The front desk, luggage handler and the maid were all very nice.We had a problem with the rooftop bar adding a 3$ rock pour without asking us if we wanted one and also a gratuity added to our check for only 3 people.

The hotel is brand new and everything was excellent, expect for two things: (I) the AC did not work properly — the AC panels in the rooms were just useless to regulate the temperature; so we were literally freezing, while some other guests complained their rooms were too hot; and (II) there is only a tiny, little closet in the room that barely has room for a couple of pants. The bad thing is that the AC problem makes it a very annoying experience. Sorry… but the hotel could be great if the AC is fixed.

We had a fantastic stay at Godfrey Detroit. Staff was available at all times and attentive. Bed was comfortable, nice size shower, awesome blackout curtains and great views of the city from the huge window in our room. Only downside was the upstairs restaurant (which is super cool) had very loud music with heavy bass which we could hear in our room at night. Thankfully it was muffled and we were tired but if you’re looking for quiet, I’d request a lower floor or a room not below the restaurant.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous throughout my stay. The surrounding area is lively in the evenings but quiets down at a reasonable hour. I waited almost 2 hours in the lobby with my luggage, to get into my room. I was continually told that my room was not ready. It forced an unwelcome change of plans for that day. The evening staff was polite, professional and helpful in my only interaction over the next several days.

From start to finish the whole experience was exceptional. People held the doors open. The front desk was very professional and made the stay easier. The room itself was absolutely amazing. It was spacious, the bathroom was awesome, and the view was beautiful. And the rooftop bar???? Incredible. I only wish we were able to stay longer. I would absolutely stay there again in the future because they do such a wonderful job with the ambience, the staff, and the amenities to ensure your stay is wonderful.

The concierge was unwelcoming and unfriendly. When we received our room keys and went upstairs, we found out someone else was already in the room and we unintentionally frightened the occupant inside! When we went back down the the desk to get new keys and inform staff of the situation, they apologized and offered us a bottle of water. Literally never experienced something like that and I was extremely disappointed with the lack of concern for the experience we had with the staff. The room itself was nice enough, overall cleanliness was good and the valet/ doorman were the most personable people we interacted with. Because of the horrible check in experience everything else was soured though. I understand mistakes happen but this seemed like a big one and even when I mentioned it at check out, the concierge seemed shocked when I told her what happened.

The Godfrey is a must if you're in the D for any sporting event. Not only is it an awesome place to stay, it's across the street from Nemo's and McShane's, both of which offer shuttles to all major sporting events. Corktown is on the rebound baby!

The check-in went smoothly. The bed and linens were lovely. The blackout shades made for a quiet cozy sleep in. The shower could have been hotter. Service was a little slow at the rooftop bar but who cares when you are watching a great view and sunset?

Very clean, comfortable beds. Nice rooms, the staff was friendly, and the restaurants have amazing food. I would highly recommend eating at Hamilton! The best Chicken Parmesan I’ve ever had! Will be coming back! Lots of cool bars in the area. Valet service was great too.

Pretty good! Nice place, beautiful restaurant, cute little lobby bar, and gorgeous roof deck bar. Property is new so it was all pretty nice. Some weird stuff in the rooms, like light switches making no sense and hitting the arms of your travel partner making coffee as you slide the bathroom door open. But I’d stay again for sure. I love Corktown and it was a nice property!

Went to the bar on 7th floor, waited 30 minutes to get a drink, finally left. The bartender never wven acknowledged us waiting as she catered to a group of 5 men standing at the corner of the bar. No waitresses to be seen, no seating or structure. Epic FAIL
