Loved the property and everything about the hotel. The spa and indoor pool were amazing! Gym is underwhelming but it’s nice to have a little bit of a gym over nothing. Rooms were great, very comfortable. Location was great. One of my favorite places I have stayed!! Can’t wait to return.

Fantastic hotel with an exceptional location! The hotel staff is extremely attentive and friendly. The room was spacious, modern and overlooked the plaza mayor. Breakfast buffet is in regards of what’s offered worth every single penny! Next time we chose to stay a couple of nights in Madrid, the Pestana Plaza Mayor will be our preferred choice to stay! Only backdraw was that the Sauna should run a lot hotter than it does. 85C+ and not 60-70. Keep up the great work and Hasta la Proxima! :-)

A well run hotel with friendly staff and great breakfasts. Clean, quiet and confirm and comfortable. Only criticism is the size of bedrooms which have integral bathrooms. Also the pool area on the roof was overcrowded and therefore inaccessible during our stay when it was 35 degrees.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. Literally right in the middle of Plaza Mayor. The hotel itself was modern and very clean. Staff was quite attentive. The room we stayed in the first night had a shower that would not drain properly. The staff sent someone almost immediately to take a look. They couldn’t do anything about it the first night so showering was pretty rough. Maintenance tried to fix it the next day but that didn’t work. The hotel kindly moved us to a new room (the best one in the hotel!!). It was amazing and we certainly appreciated that they addressed the issue. The facilities are quite lovely - the rooftop bar/lounge/pool has an amazing view and is very comfortable. We also used the indoor pool in the spa area which was also very nice. If we were to return to Madrid we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Good spot to stay in when first visiting Madrid, we did have issues with the shower where the water wasn’t completely going down the drain which caused the room to flood every time we showered we had to make sure the water pressure was low each time.

The check-in was excellent (our room was available when we arrived at 9am!), the room was very clean, a comfortable bed, well equipped, excellent housekeeping, great/helpful front desk staff and concierge service; perfect location, in all it could not havce been a better stay.

Limpeza muito boa, equipe cordial e solícita. Localização imbatível. Minha única observação é quanto ao tamanho do quarto padrão. É muito, mas muito pequeno. Acho que se paga mais a experiência de estar na Plaza Mayor, porque o tamanho do quarto para um casal chega a ser incômodo.

Location was amazing, the hotel is gorgeous, the only issue was that the rooms were very hot and the thermostat did not work. We had to open and close the window constantly to try to keep it at a good temperature.

If you are looking to stay in a great location with amazing Plaza Mayor views, this is your hotel. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable and bathroom are nicely updated. The restaurant is quiet and lovely with plants and art. If you have a Plaza view (which I had) it is amazing to open your doors, enjoy the view and people watch. Also, you can go down to the plaza at anytime and enjoy a meal or drink. However, if you are looking for a quiet room, I would not choose the plaza view because it's busy and noise can be heard late into the evening. Also, the morning after 7am can have noise in the plaza with all the delivery trucks, delivering to all the many restuarants. Lots of hustle and bustle in this location. I have stayed here twice and enjoyed it each time.

The location was perfect and we loved being in the old centre of the city within walking distance of the various sites of interest. The Plaza Mayor is a beautiful, vibrant and lively space, however our room overlooking the square was really quiet at night thanks to the double glazed windows.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Team is very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast has good options for everyone, make to order service is quick. Even though the location of the hotel is in the busy touristy area, inside the building is very peaceful and quiet. Easy walk to all main attractions, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. Very safe. Will recommend.

We had a very nice stay. The rooms were comfortable and the location was perfect for waking to the most interesting parts of Madrid. The reception and concierge staff seemed to be distracted with how to use the computer system and we had to ask a number of times before we got a hold of the concierge to help us make dinner reservations.

Ma conjointe s'est fait voler 2 bagues et 150 euro en argent comptant dans la chambre. La direction de l'hotel nous fait perdre du précieux temps de vacances pour nous faire faire une déclaration à la police pour finalement nous dire qu'il ne rembourseront pas car ils nous ont fourni un coffre fort... Pourquoi ne pas l'avoir dit au départ... Aucune compensations proposé par l'établissement. Dommage pour un endroit de cette réputation/prix

We loved everything about our experience here! The staff was awesome & stored our bags so we could explore before check-in, our room was ready a little earlier than anticipated so we got to get up quicker, our rooms view was amazing and the location is perfect! The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room layout was convenient and well thought out. When we requested anything additional, it for delivered quickly and with a smile. When we come back to Madrid in the future, we will 10000% be staying here again.

The check-in was excellent (our room was available when we arrived at 9am!), the room was very clean, a comfortable bed, well equipped, excellent housekeeping, great/helpful front desk staff and concierge service; perfect location, in all it could not havce been a better stay.

Location is excellent, but the hotel was limiting access to some hotel public areas without previous notice. Also not very accommodating (refused to provide breakfast to go when checking out a few minutes before 7 am).

The location could not be better at the steps of the Plaza Major! My flight arrived early and the very nice and accommodating staff got me my room hours before check-in! The rooftop pool had amazing views so highly recommend it!

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. Literally right in the middle of Plaza Mayor. The hotel itself was modern and very clean. Staff was quite attentive. The room we stayed in the first night had a shower that would not drain properly. The staff sent someone almost immediately to take a look. They couldn’t do anything about it the first night so showering was pretty rough. Maintenance tried to fix it the next day but that didn’t work. The hotel kindly moved us to a new room (the best one in the hotel!!). It was amazing and we certainly appreciated that they addressed the issue. The facilities are quite lovely - the rooftop bar/lounge/pool has an amazing view and is very comfortable. We also used the indoor pool in the spa area which was also very nice. If we were to return to Madrid we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

If you are looking to stay in a great location with amazing Plaza Mayor views, this is your hotel. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable and bathroom are nicely updated. The restaurant is quiet and lovely with plants and art. If you have a Plaza view (which I had) it is amazing to open your doors, enjoy the view and people watch. Also, you can go down to the plaza at anytime and enjoy a meal or drink. However, if you are looking for a quiet room, I would not choose the plaza view because it's busy and noise can be heard late into the evening. Also, the morning after 7am can have noise in the plaza with all the delivery trucks, delivering to all the many restuarants. Lots of hustle and bustle in this location. I have stayed here twice and enjoyed it each time.

Very well located. Rooms are kind of small, but in very good condition. Right in the heart of Plaza Mayor. If you're driving getting to this location can be tricky due to heavy traffic and narrow streets.

The location was perfect and we loved being in the old centre of the city within walking distance of the various sites of interest. The Plaza Mayor is a beautiful, vibrant and lively space, however our room overlooking the square was really quiet at night thanks to the double glazed windows.

I stayed here for the NFL Madrid Game in November. The location was amazing. The hotel was distance to many must see Madrid attractions and nearby to several subway stations. I ate breakfast on several occasions and loved the great selection and taste of the food. The staff was extremely nice. The room was perfect for my needs as I was a solo traveler for this trip. I didn’t have enough time to use the spa…maybe next time.

AMAZING hotel!!! Superb service from all of the staff, from check-in to housekeeping, everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of! Breakfast is phenomenal as well!! Hotel is in excellent condition and well maintained. Location is perfect! We were able to walk to meeting places for all of our tours and Flamenco show. Excellent dining options and more than enough shopping within walking distance. This hotel is highly recommended by us!

The hotel was nice. We stayed in a room over looking Plaza Mayor which offered fantastic views. Pools are small so can get really crowded. Breakfast wasn’t worth the extra charge, easier to go to Starbucks or the market. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was a great bonus as 15min walk to all the sites.

We asked for hot chocolate to drink instead of coffee, but they came with very think chocolate to churroes. They said it was the same. And you could order extra things. Like crispy bacon. That was half raw.

Almost ten days here. Not worth the money or the time. We came here to relax and enjoy our vacation. Instead, repeated failures and a lack of resolution made it stressful, deeply unpleasant, and ultimately ruined our vacation. Housekeeping was consistently unreliable. Vacuuming was skipped or poorly done, trash was left for days, and basic supplies weren’t replenished. We raised these issues, yet the same problems continued through our final three days. At check-in, we explicitly asked whether the bedroom and bathroom blinds provided privacy and were assured they did. We relied on that assurance for days before discovering people outside could see in. There was a separate privacy control nobody had explained. We booked a 90-minute massage requesting strong pressure. Despite repeatedly asking for more, it remained light. When we provided feedback afterward, the spa staff told us the problem was ours, not theirs. Staff also woke us at 7 a.m. with a breakfast we had never ordered. They said they’d check what happened, but nobody followed up. We were told our concerns would be investigated. Four days later, we’re hours from checkout with no update or resolution. After nearly ten days, we were still facing problems we’d already brought to the hotel’s attention. The hotel had plenty of opportunity to make things right, but never did. Instead of relaxing, we spent far too much of our vacation dealing with repeated failures and the stress and frustration they caused.
