Days Inn by Wyndham Monroe NC

We booked this at a higher price than ithers in the area bc they offered a pool, there was no pool. 100% smoke free building still smelt like smoke. There were burn holes in the bedding. The towels were stained yellow. There was no house keeping, had to go ask the front desk for toilet paper after being out all day.

We have stayed at this hotel in 2024 and again in 2025. Both times our room was clean, staff was pleasant and welcoming. This hotel is perfect for a restful night at a reasonable cost. It is basic room/hotel with continental breakfast. Not many amenities like a pool or exercise room but we don't need that. If you are looking for a clean reasonable priced place to stay this would be it.

General Manager misused my credit card. Had pending charges of $200 on my card for 7 days. I had to file a dispute with my bank to get pending charges removed. Also, no TV signal Saturday morning. Poor conditions.

The air conditioning barely worked, advertised amenity that was not available (pool) hair dryer didn’t work either. Wasn’t informed of the security deposit. Also, I did not get any kind of a receipt either. As long as I get my deposit back I’m ok with it.

Mike, the manager was very helpful with answering questions and making sure I was settled and if anything was needed. Even though I wasn’t going to use the pool, is was not operational at the time I was there. The rom which I was in, was a bit musty smelling when entering the room, but the weather was extremely hot, so I’m thinking the smell was attributed to the heat. Once the a/c was turned on and running the smell disappeared.

Our room was on the ground floor, and opened directly to the parking lot (rather than a central interior hallway). The property does not allow smoking in the rooms, and other guests have clearly gone just outside their room to smoke. There was a strong marijuana smell outside that leaked into our room. This room connects to the room beside it. We could easily hear conversations and noise from the adjoining room. One of the bed frames squeaked very loudly whenever anyone turned over. There was a very large cockroach near the bathroom sink, and a spider in the corner. The bathroom fixtures were cleaned, but are old. The tub was missing the overflow drain cover, which made the room seem run down. The free continental breakfast did not have much available when we visited around 7 a.m.

The room had roaches and spider web on tge cey

We thought it would be fine for a quick 1 night stay but we would never stay here again. As soon as we walked into our room we didn’t want our bags touching any surfaces. The room was not updated (expected and OK) but it was also not clean. We went ahead and stayed as we just needed somewhere to sleep and leave the next morning but took showers and washed our things as soon as we got home. Just had the icks the whole time.

If I ever have the need to stay here again, I will ask to be on the opposite side of the pool side. Maybe that will help shield the noise from the traffic.

You have a leak in a wall somewhere causing mold

Bad odor when I entered the room. Was not expecting a motel but I guess that is on me. I was looking for a last minute hotel in the area and read previous reviews before booking. As a solo female traveler I just didn’t feel comfortable. Shower had dead bugs and stained shower curtain. There were three cars in the parking lot. I left without a refund and found a Hotel nearby where I felt safer.

Although it is an all nonsmoking hotel, the rooms have a lingering cigarette smoke smell. Some rooms are worse than others.

Beds are excellant, stay at Hiltons and Marriotts most of time but their beds are motel 6 rejects almost always. Wyndams never let me down for a good nite sleep. Other hotels could learn from Wyndam!!!

Loud music playing outside room until 2am then loud banging on nearby doors early next morning. Hard to rest under those conditions. Several white panel vans parked near my room so unsure about the activity.

It was sufficient for one night.

Computer was frozen at check in but we were welcomed for a very late check in. Friendly staff.

It was very quiet, the cleanliness, the manager Mike was very nice and helpful. I will be back and stay again.

I was charged $100 deposit, then on top of that $25 per day for my service animal which was not supposed to be a charge. Stay 3 days room was never cleaned never got any extra toilet paper towels or anything this place should be called Last Resort!

I understand that the hotel has only been open again for a week, but don’t open if you aren’t prepared. My room was supposedly serviced only once in 6 nights and they rehung the dirty towels. They didn’t make the bed. I had to take out my own trash. When I went to the office to get a set of towels-1 bath, 1 hand, and 1 washcloth-I was asked where my dirty ones were. I replied “In my room”. She replied, “I’ll meet you at the laundry room with clean towels if you bring your dirty ones.” Her demeanor was as if was going to steal them. When I had checked into my room, there was only 1/2 a roll of toilet tissue in the room. That lasted 2 days. When I went to the office to request more, I was questioned as to how long I had been there. I informed her that I had checked in Thursday night and there was only a 1/2 roll in the room. It was now Sunday. She asked how much longer I’d be there to which I replied Wednesday morning. She could not get into the supplies and would need to call the manager for the key. She then brought one roll of tissue to my room 20 minutes later. The renovations looked like slapping lipstick on a pig, they painted over filth and damage and did a poor job at that. The toilet ran continuously, was stained and poorly maintained. The bathtub/shower was in old rundown condition. There were bugs in my room. There was no breakfast as advertised. Other than having a convenient location to my work assignment, I have nothing positive to say.

Budget hotel with budget offerings. Breakfast was inedible. Green bananas, sugar cereal, and a waffle machine that was unavailable, as the manager said they had no batter.
