It started with an upgrade to a one bedroom suite that was so huge that we never felt we are in a hotel. With some amazing restaurants and Spa we had a great time. Gym is so good you crave to go for exercise.

We had a wonderful experience during our twelve-night stay in ITC Royal Bengal. The staff was very courteous and really took care of our needs. In particular, we would like to call out Deepak and Rajdeep, a server in Grand Market Pavillion, who were extremely helpful to our elderly parents. The pool and the spa were very nice and one of the best we have experienced. We look forward to staying in ITC Royal Bengal again in the next visit to Kolkata.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the ITC Royal Bengal from April 14 - 25, 2024. It was a very positive experience. Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I stayed at the Tower room on the 57th floor. The room is spacious and very well maintained with all the facilities to make the stay as comfortable as possible. I used the dining services for breakfast and dinner at the Grand Market Pavilion, as well as the Darjeeling Lounge. There are a huge number of menu options available and both the quality and taste of food are great. The dining room staff are very attentive and friendly. From the moment of being greeted into dining until the end of the meal, every staff member went out of their way to make sure that I was eating well. While I can mention Neha, Islam, Tanmoy, and Tania among others (since I can remember their names), everyone was truly very caring to my needs. The gym is very well-equipped for different types of workouts like weights, cardio, or yoga and it was nice to interact with Soumen over there. Please keep up the good work. I look forward to returning in the future.

One night in Kolkata before our flight home and wanted to treat ourselves. Fantastic service, all staff very helpful and accommodating, nothing way too much. Pool was quiet and relaxed and a well equipped gym. Breakfast was amazing! Lots of choice with local favourites and our waiter Aditya was amazing and arrange a lovely cake for use to take away. Will certainly be coming back.

Property itself is great location for north and south Kolkata. Lots of dining options and uber is easily available. The breakfast was amazing with so many hot and cold options and lots of authentic food. The only negative was the in room services, I had booked an apartment and the time it takes from kitchen to room was on average 90 minutes from ordering. There should be ideally a quicker way to bring things to the apartments and maybe keeping more utensils like plates glasses and cutlery in the apartment rooms. Staff were friendly and always willing to help. The pool was lovely and great views. The skybar was great however they should be able to charge to room more efficiently as I waited till post 5pm the next day for any charges and the bill. Would be great if it could be on an app.

I have stayed one night with my family. Everything was perfect. Just a quick note about check in process. Indian citizens, please carry your passport or Driver’s License. Non Indian citizens, show your passport with e visa or OCI card. I forgot to carry my minor daughter’s OCI card(passport was provided though). I had to bring it back traveling 3hrs back and forth in weeknights busy Kolkata traffic. Other than that.. pretty good experience. Nice breakfast spread.. good spa service. Professional, courteous stuff. Highly Recommended.

Stunning building but very poorly managed. The check in staff is not well trained. Relationship manager was not around. When you come in it’s not welcoming unlike the Taj or Oberoi’s. Carpets through out the property is quite soiled and need a quick upgrade. Avartana is a great experience if you need to take someone out for a treat. The waiters need some training on communication for how to speak when you work in a fine dining restaurant. They were kind and generous just that communication skills are poor and sounds like they have memorized and they regurgitate it with an every course of meal. This hotel has incredible potential if they focus on their human resources and hire the right talent and make the place a lot warmer with the right staffing. Just being very objective on my review with the hope ITC turns the ship around. With the huge investment they have made to built this structure I hope they focus on their human resources. Train and keep the best. Cheering you on!

All super clean, renovated and well maintained. It is a shame for all those plastic containers and free products amenities for the clients, made in plastic. You should find a solution and promote dispensers instead, for soap, shampoo, ecc. avoiding climate pollution.

I stayed here for a week in one of the 2 bedroom suites. The property is amazing, the restaurants are great and the service is unbelievable. I have 2 complaints though - (1) it took 3 days for the room to reach 22 C from starting 19 C. As a result it was quite cold during the start of my stay and 19-20 C is pretty uncomfortable. Also, on one evening there was a wedding party going and they started beating the drums at 2 am. I have nothing against wedding parties or the need to play music. However, the hotel should not allow these things to happen at 2 am. It ended about 4 am and my poor wife could not sleep that night. All in all, a great experience though and i would definitely stay at the ITC royal bengal on future trips.

Pros: Proper hotel, comfortable beds, spacious apartments and hallways. We reserved two 2 bedroom apartments for two weeks. Overall comfortable. Food was good. Cons: 1) frustrating in room dining experiences. If you order 3 coffees and breakfast, you will get: 2.5 coffees, 6 mugs, 1 plate, 1 napkin, 6 jams, 2 pieces of toast. All this after 1 hour. Very little care is given by the in room dining staff to think consciously about what is being ordered and what is needed. Next 2) your room keys will need to be reset every other day. We stayed two weeks and had to reset over 5 times Lastly 3) elevator music played the same one song on repeat. Very annoying after 1-2 days.

Spent 4 nights at the ITC Royal Bengal with two young kids. We were thoroughly impressed by the property, the food but more so the service. During breakfast, the executive chef Mr Ranvijay personally came up and enquired how we were doing. When he saw we have a baby with us, he gave us his personal number so that we can ask for anything for the baby. Which we did and they were always delivered to us right on time. We can't thank him enough for his help. I am going to stay at this place every time I am in Kolkata.

The property is really majestic and grand. Staff are all very friendly especially in the Pavilion gran market. Notable persons are Neil and his staff. The buffet is really incredible but almost everything was not suitable for vegans as two in our party are vegans so it was limited what we can eat. but they offered best what they can. Otherwise will visit here again. Rooms very spacious and the gym was excellent which I used every day.

This is supposed to be the flagship property/hotel in Kolkata. The hotel itself is excellent, rooms and facilities are clean, rooms are very well maintained, view from room was fantastic. However, we had breakfast and afternoon tea included in our package. The breakfast area was very disappointing, extremely crowded and very poorly managed. Looks like a roadside dhaba and that too with extremely slow service. We have to wait for almost and hour to get in and then had terrible experience getting some hot food. Ordered some omelette/dosa which took for ever, and have to remind them multiple times. hotel should improve their breakfast area/facility. Similar experience at the afternoon tea area. Over congested and have to wait for all the appetizer for ever.

Beautiful architecture, looks and feels grand. The staff were always courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet was amazing with many options to pick from, the masala dosa was one of the best I ever had in my life.
