Aloft by Marriott Savannah Downtown Historic District

The hotel was okay to say the least. Staff was friendly, and the pool was warm. Our room was unfortunately on the opposite side of the elevator shaft so we heard the knocking of the elevator throughout the stay. Morning breakfast options were cold and limited. Also, there is an additional $75 per night charge at check in. While familiar with incidental charges, $75/night is excessive.

Great location. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable.. Property was clean.

Lovely bed, great shower. Comfortable in evert way. Breakfast additional, IF YOU WANT breakfast. Can order hot breakfast sandwiches for very reasonable fee. Only thing keeping the property from five stars is the EXORBITANT parking fee - 48.00 per day , plus gratuity as it is not self park. Interestingly it is a shared lot with Fairfield Inn whose posted rate for valet is 28.00 or 30 cheaper than Aloft. Poor form that left a bsd taste. Charges for the two should not be so dramatic. Same garage, same valets.
