Good for the price

This is a boutique hotel just a block away from the famous Plaza de Marimba and nine blocks away from the Cathedral. Rooms are clean. The amenities are very basic. They give two small bar soap and a little bottle of shampoo. They give one complimentary bottled water. Linens and towels show signs of aging. Room has air-conditioning system that works well. The bed is firm. They have a safe for your important items. Wi-fi signal is not really good in the room where I stayed so I opted not to use it but instead rely on my data roaming. The hot water in the sink and shower can easily get so hot, they even put a warning in the bathroom about it. Location is good if you want to explore the historical area of Tuxtla. There are restaurants around the Marimba park. Hotel security is tight. You have to leave your room key at the front desk every time you go out. They will not allow anyone who is not registered when you check in at the front desk to enter your room. The area is safe and finding transportation is easy. Staff are quite helpful. You can skip breakfast as it is not that impressive at all. I may stay in this hotel again for short trips only.

Lovely staff. Could not do enough for us. No English spoken but managed to get by with our Spanish. Clean very secure and central. A little noisy but did not disturb us. Loved our stay. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Coffee good. Near the square and a couple of restaurants .
