Il mio voto è 5 in quanto : La colazione è scadente non puoi avere il cibo totalmente scoperto , in disordine ( salato e dolce ) senza chiusure e vedere le cameriere lavare i piatti difronte a te , con una cucina non pulita . Microonde da sgrassare … Stanze troppo piccole , io ho avuto la 16 e non potevo aprire la piccola finestra in quanto entravano gli odori di cibo , fumo e passavano le tubazioni dell acqua e fogna. A una certa ora , non c è più nessuno , non avevamo il codice per entrare .. senza che nessuno ci avvisi . Alle 19/20 non può essere chiuso :(- . abbiamo aiutato anche le persone dell arrivo ( non avevano ricevuto nessun avviso per il check in ). Il costo non e” a mio avviso pari a quello che offrono . 103 a notte Un consiglio da turista : rivedete la hall e la colazione perché è il benvenuto .

Posto tranquillo e logisticamente ottimale per. Molto spartano per chi non cerca il lusso ma confortevole. Personale gentile. Solo piccolo disappunto per un problema occorso dopo le 20 e purtroppo l'unico numero disponibile non rispondeva nessuno perché dopo quell'ora all reception non c'è nessuno. Sarebbe utile un riferimento telefonico H24

Unterkunft liegt zentral in Sliema. Alles für den täglichen Bedarf ist in Laufweite. Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mir wurde angeboten, am letzten Tag mein Gepäck stehen zu lassen, bis mein Flug geht. Bei Problemen oder Fragen war jederzeit jemand erreichbar. Check in ist unkompliziert, Zugangsdaten werden am Tag der Anreise übermittelt. Es gibt auch einen Kühlschrank zur Gemeinschaftsnutzung.

The hotel is in a calm little street only two minutes walking away from the main road and the waterfront promenade of Sliema where many bars, pubs and restaurants are located. It's overall very charming, the room was simple but fully equipped. Don't expect a view from the rooms, my window faced a large tree, which however was also nice. The large beautiful roof terrace makes up for it. I especially enjoyed the breakfasts there. The staff was always extraordinarily friendly and helpful.

Solo traveller. Stayed here for a week 27 Sept to 4 Oct 2025. Room was comfortable and looked to have been recently redecorated. En-suite appeared to be very new. Large TV with Netflix. Large wardrobe. Kettle and tea/coffee replaced daily. Room was cleaned daily. Comfy large bed and pillows. Nice breakfast served on the rooftop terrace. Eggs cooked to order, selection of cheese, breads etc. Tea, coffee, juice. Location is great, relatively short walk to Sliema marina and ferries to Valletta or St. Juliens and St George’s in other direction. Stayed in room 1 which was next to main entrance so some noise with other guests coming and going, but generally very quiet. Tip: Reception staff leave at 3pm so if arriving after this make sure to get the door codes in advance or the guest in room 1 might have to let you in! :)

I chose The Maltese Sun only based on location, price, and included breakfast. It turned out to be a great choice :) My room was ground level with a small "open atrium", allowing you to sit outside in shade. The room was perfect for one person, it was clean, and it had a Smart TV with internet access (YouTube/Netflix apps available). From the hotel it's easy to get to public transport, and it's within easy walking distance to for instance, restaurants and the Valletta ferry. I rented a scooter during my stay, and it was no problem parking it in the street right at the hotel. There's no staff during the evening, but a self-service snack bar is available, and a convenience store a few hundred meters away. (I believe you can call the staff if needed, but I didn't need to) The breakfast - served on the lovely roof terrace - was a big plus. Most days it was prepared by Linda who did a great job :) A pretty good selection of food available and you can have fresh eggs prepared as you wish. (I'd like to recommend the Omelet and also do get the amazing Maltese peppered cheese.) If/When I'm back on Malta I'll definitely go to The Maltese Sun again :)

Πολύ καλή τοποθεσία. 3λεπτά με τα πόδια στην παραλιακη οδό με τα μπάρ και τα εστιαατόρια. Η παραλιακή διαδρομή με τα πόδια έως το ST, IULIANS μόλις 25 λεπτά περνώντας από baluta bay και spinola bay. Επίσης εύκολη προσβαση στη Βαλλέττα είτε με το αυτοκίνητο είτε με τα ferry. Εύρισκες εύκολο πάρκιγκ εμπρός και στους γειτονικούς δρόμους. Το δωμάτιο πολύ μεγάλο .Υπηρχε καθημερινή καθαριότητα του δω ματίου. Το πρωινό στη ταράτσα του ξενοδοχείου ικανοποιητικό με 10 ευρώ το άτομο.

Very lovely stay at the Maltese Sun. Breakfast on the terrace was great. The hotel looks better than the photos on the website. The bathrooms are nicely remodeled. Only thing is the common areas are hot and the drinking water is also hot.

Great location, short walk to waterfront and maybe 10 mins to all the restaurants but in a quiet neighbourhood. Great reception, room was spotless, comfie bed and pillows! The rate included breakfast which was really nice and fresh - staff at breakfast were lovely! Served on rooftop terrace which we really enjoyed. Staff super responsive to any queries. Highly recommend!!!

Highly recommend, very clean, comfortable and not too expensive! It was a last minute booking, checking in was easy, even though there was no one there at check in, we called and they gave us a code to enter and our room was available. Staff was very friendly, I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name working reception but very helpful, courteous and made us feel very welcome. Location is great as well!

Really nice place for holiday. The hotel was clean and the staff very very nice. Good location, a short walk from the promenade and bus stops, but the street is calm. I'm glad we picked the Maltese sun.

We had a lovely stay. The hotel is located on the quieter streets behind the main road down at the waterfront which made it feel very peaceful. The room was clean and generous, a little bit of a damp smell in the wardrobe. But all in all it was great value and exactly what we needed. We enjoyed the breakfast.

El personal fue muy atento a la llegada y todos los días un saludo y la recomendación de como llegar al lugar dónde querías ir si se lo decías. La limpieza muy bien. Mi habitación era individual, cama cómoda y todo correcto. El baño era nuevo.

Städat, bäddat varje dag. Sängen grymt skön. WiFi, Värme/Aircondition, Badrum fungerade klockrent. Mycket trevlig personal. Fanns även ett kök man själv kunde utnyttja med kyl/frys. Frukost helt OK, vintertid behövs en tröja, men det finns filtar och kamin. Allting verkar ganska nyrenoverat.

Rummen är mycket små och mörka, saknas dagsljus. Belysningen i rummen var mycket undermålig, det var t ex omöjligt att läsa på rummet. Badrummen OK. Städningen på rummen inte särskilt bra. Personalen som serverade frukost mycket trevlig. Transferservice från flygplatsen fungerade ej, trots bokad. Inte prisvärt, vi blev mycket besvikna.

Das gesamte Personal war sehr professionell und zuvorkommend und freundlich! Die Zimmer sehr ruhig und sauber, wenn auch sehr klein( liegt wohl daran, dass es ein altes Gebäude und Platzmangel immer schon vorhanden war). Sehr schöne Frühstücksterrasse mit feinen kleinen Frühstücksbuffet. Busstation ist in 5 Minuten gut zu Fuß zuerreichen- wenn auch die Buse meist viel zu voll und leider wegen des Verkehrs oft spät kommen ( zu viel Autoverkehr generell ) Gerne wieder

Camera spaziosa dotata di patio. Bagno piuttosto vecchio, necessiterebbe di un po’ di manutenzione. Colazione nella norma con prodotti sia dolci che salati. Personale molto cordiale e disponibile. Abbiamo avuto la camera fin dal mattino senza costo supplementare.

Unacceptably small bed .. no cooler / minibar

Have you ever stayed somewhere that was just sooooooo close to hitting the mark but missed it every time? That was this place. Without question the staff were absolutely amazing. Bubbly, kind and chatty. They were honestly the best part of the place. The one tough part is the staff leaves at 3pm, so if there is a problem after, you need to call them. The room I originally had, had great AC, excellent WiFi and a working TV, but encountered a bug issue and so I called and they were quick to move me. That room had great AC, a working TV, but the WiFi was completely down for my room, even though it connected in other parts of the guesthouse. This caused some issues as that night I need to do a lot of work and so that took away from my time to explore the next day. I told the front desk the next morning and they moved me again. This room was upgraded and was very nice. Had excellent AC, okay WiFi… but the TV didn’t work. I only booked 2 nights and stayed in 3 different rooms but none of them hit the base level marks. What I can tell you is they have excellent AC! Breakfast was good, the terrace is nice and the location is easy with a 20minute walk to the ferry to Valletta. I really wanted to give them a better score, but honestly for the experience I had, the place would have needed to be cheaper for me to tolerate as many misses as there were or have given me some form of a small compensation for so many issues in a short trip.

Assaulted and abused by staff after failing to provide check in instructions so I accessed a room that was empty.

Excellent staff on site; of particular note are Mila and Joanna that started off every morning serving an excellent breakfast, with so much warmth and kindness!

The Maltese Sun is my go to hotel when travelling to Malta either for business or vacation. Located just off the main street and the promenade gives it a good combination of being close to the restaurants and the beach aswell as being quite for a good nights sleep. The staff at the hotel is very polite and shows a genuine interest in your well being and will try to assist with any request you might have. The self-check in system is easy and well described, room is clean and tidy and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Being in the heart of Sliema you won't find a better location and the value for money is tremendous. I'll keep coming here!

Bel hôtel avec le charme maltais. La situation géographique est excellente !! À 3 minutes des commerces, restaurants et de la Bay. À 4 minutes des arrêts de bus dont celui menant directement à l’aéroport. Mention spéciale pour Mr. Yaseer, fort aimable et très disponible. Je recommande chaleureusement cet établissement.
