My room had a wonderfully soft and comfortable bed. Great view. All the basic facilities with a communal kitchen available. You can do laundry onsite but it's expensive! And the shower is one of those European style ones that leaves the whole bathroom wet.

I arrived here late at night off the ferry. The hotel was easy to find virtually right at the port and only 5 mins from both A and D terminals. I checked in which was very smooth via the electronic check in kiosks. My room was on the third floor where there’s a well equipped communal area. With fridge, vending machines selling everything including light meals. TV and work area. My room was spacious with a large bathroom. I had a small window looking on to a tiny courtyard. In the morning there is an attached cafe that has an excellent range of options for breakfast. Checkout it s very easy with the ability to leave luggage if desired. The team stop I’m s just round the corner although you will have to take a tram then a bus to reach the airport.

Great stay in a convenient location. Building has everything you need. A kitchen, laundry room and somewhere to sit and eat. Great concept. Not like your standard hotel, felt more like living in an apartment building. The hotel's sister restaurant Lou Lou was great although it does get very busy which impacts service. The menu for hotel guests (where breakfast is included) is a little limited but I enjoyed it every morning. Old town was about a 10-minute walk away. Tallinn port was around 7 minutes away which is ideal. Nautica shopping mall is 5 minutes away. A good mix of shops including the supermarket Rimi. The downside is the construction work happening by the hotel. It was an eyesore and not the best view from my window so I couldn't open the curtains.

Konumu Old Town'a yürüyerek 10-15 dk. Yine 10 dk yürüme mesafesinde market var. Liman da aynı şekilde bu mesafede. Bu anlamda her şeye yakın olması çok büyük avantaj. Aynı zamanda odaları çok temiz (Birkaç günlük kalışlarda siz oradayken oda temizliği her gün yapılmıyor, 3 günde bir yapılıyor. Ekstra isterseniz günlük 10 Euro karşılığında temizliyorlar yine. Uygun olmalarının bir sebebi bu🙂) Buna ek, otelin ortak alan mutfağı var. Bu harika bir şey, içerisinde buzdolabı, kettle, mikrodalga, tabak, bardak vs. mevcut. Çok memnun kaldık :)

Clean, modern, but short on typical amenities -- no TV, no fridge, no safe, no closet, limited housekeeping. There are TVs in shared areas, and a kitchen with big shared fridge, microwave, and kettles, which is pretty good. But someone stole food from me once from the shared fridge and went through my thoroughly tied bag another time. It would be easy to install a camera watching the fridge and a sign announcing this to prevent this or at least catch the people who do this. (It would be better to put fridges in the rooms or at least provide fridge rental.) The laundry facilities are good but expensive at 10 € for a medium load wash AND ANOTHER 10 € for 40 minutes of drying time. A good value if you understand the limits and a pleasant place to stay, and the location between Old Town and the ferry terminal is excellent, but it's about a 5-minute walk to Rottermann, where there a wide variety of restaurants and shops; it's about 10 minutes to the Viru Gate into Old Town or the Viru Keskus shopping center. There's outdoor parking fairly nearby for 6 € a day, or very convenient parking underneath the bidding with elevator access to the hotel for 10 € a day. This is a nice plus. I would prefer if Expedia listings included relevant information about amenities instead of it being a surprise when you arrive. All of the rooms have some sort of windows in the hotel, but I have several times rented rooms in other hotels without windows with no notice of that in the Expedia listing.

Enjoyable stay, smooth check in and out and good location for quick access to the old town and the port. Some small things absent from the room meant it wasn’t perfect (annoying light switch setup, no shelf for the shower or door, no fridge). Room was a little dusty for us also.

Rummen var inte så städade. De var väldigt smutsigt i gångarna dvs i hallen till alla rum. Städade arbetade på den våningen men ingen dammsög hallen. För mig går detta inte ihop då de var där och arbetade på att städa olika rum. Annars var de bra location och enkelt med incheckningen.

The hotel was ok, but i have an issue on their handling of my complaint. My bed sheet was dirty, black hairs on the sheet. My complaint wasnt taken serriously at the time in fact i was disbelieved until i produced photos. Since then i have emailed regarding this and been ignored.

We didn't really meet any of the staff members during our short stay except of couple of cleaners. The check-in and check-out was super easy and convinient to do with the machine, we didn't have any problems with that. The hotel's lobby and other common areas were really clean and looked inviting and nicely decorated. The location was really great for us due to the closeness to the harbour. Our issue was with our room's bathroom. The sewige there smelled super bad during our whole stay. We tried to drain some water to see if the smell would go away but it didn't. We suspected it was the sink's smell trap (dunno if that's the correct English term, in Finnish it's "hajulukko") that needed cleaning. But we stayed in the hotel only for a short period of time and didn't really spend much time in our room so we could pretty much ignore the smell. And when we were in the room, we kept the bathroom door closed and the smells stayed there. We were going to go and try to find a staff member somewhere when we checked-out and tell them about the smell but didn't really have time to do so since they weren't at the lobby. The reason I write about this issue here is that I would assume the cleaners must have noticed the smell before our arrival since it was really prominent, so we were kinda surprised no one automatically did anything about it. Otherwise the room was really clean and the bed was really comfortable. Also loved that the check-out wasn't until 12. Would stay again!

A very good experience. Room was clean, double bed and good bathroom, and as expected. Hotel was in a good location a short walk from the old town. Check in was automated, but easy and clear instructions provided and no waiting around for check in check out! If you want a TV in room and other amenities perhaps not for you, although wifi good. We fully enjoyed our stay - thank you!

Decent hotel for the money, Good location, Fairly new building and facilities, The atrium room in which I stayed lacked a window that would open and didn't have working air conditioning. The standard room in which I stayed was comfortable. The hotel was clean throughout with nice lounges with TVs and a microwave oven. The front desk was staffed - useful because I had problems with the check-in computers.

The room is basic but clean and totally adequate for a few nights stay..the ac/ heating control in tge room certainly makes it easy to personalize your own requirement.. Service?? Its automatic booking in...via a consol so no service there...but yes, i did interact via message Before i went and that was a positive experience... The bed and pullows was A1...so comfy.. the shower-really good pressure. Went to the restaurant, but unable to get any ones attention to even be seated so ate in the 'old town'

Lovely stay at Citybox! Very clean room, large windows with beautiful view, and extremely convenient location for both the old town and ferry port. The only issue during an early winter visit was room temperature which would not go below 23C.

Die Nutzung des Self Check-In war ein Graus und alles andere als durchdacht. Mit den Daten von Expedia konnte man am Terminal nicht einchecken. Zum Glück ist bis 00:00Uhr Personal dafür vor Ort. Die Referenznummer, welche für den Check-In benötigt wird, wurde erst um 22Uhr vom Hotel geschickt. Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind ein schlechter Witz und ohne App funktioniert nichts. Es fand keine Reinigung während des gesamten Aufenthaltes statt. Das Frühstück war ebenso nicht enthalten und wurde an ein Restaurant im Hotel outgesourced. Die Zugangskarte war nach 24h ohne Grund nicht mehr nutzbar - nach 00:00Uhr wäre ich damit aufgeschmissen gewesen, da man ohne diese Karte nicht mehr ins Hotel kommt. Die Fenster sind nicht verspiegelt und direkt gegenüber sind Büroräume in welche man ohne Probleme hineinschauen kann. Dazu kommt, dass das Hotel quasi mitten in einer Baustelle steht. Der größte Vorteil, ist die Nähe zum Hafen und zur Altstadt.

Just a warning : if you book this hotel on Expedia, and have to do the self check-in (if you arrive after 09PM) you will probably face the same problem that we did this month : to do the self check-in, you have to enter a special code that the hotel will send you the day before you arrive. However (and we don't know why), we never received this code and as we arrived at night, we had to wait 1h30 in order to finally be helped by someone of the hotel. Actually for the explanation, the hotel sent the code to the email adress of Expedia instead of our email adress. Which means that this hotel is probably not used to have reservations made via Expedia. Anyway, this error had the consequence to make us wait 1h30, exhausted during the night before the situation was solved. This issue put aside, our stay was great. But I put a bad grade because this issue was unacceptable.

A place to crash, nothing more. It seems like they went out of their way to be Spartan. The tiny staffed office was hidden away and had quite a line, but they were friendly and helpful once it was your turn. Would have been more acceptable had it been cheaper than other hotel options, but it wasn't. Full price for minimal accommodation and no amenities to speak of.

I had never stayed at a Citybox hotel and was a bit dubious about self check-in and other sort of “do it yourself” aspects. In fact, when we arrived to check-in, I realized I didn’t have my check-in code. I must have deleted that email from Citybox. However, the staff were extremely helpful and retrieved my code and we were up and running. At the check-in kiosk, I was able to pay by tapping my card, and the kiosk dispensed my card keys without a glitch. That evening, I noticed that the room was quite warm (almost 25 degrees), so I “complained” to a staff member who took a device to the room to check the temp at ghe AC vent and it checked out to be 20 degrees at the register, but she acknowledged that the room was warm. She thought that maybe the AC hadn’t had time to cool the room yet. She told me to let the staff know if the room was still too warm when we returned from dinner. Well, it wasn’t, but we decided to tough it out for that evening. The next morning I told staff member that the room was still too warm. She went to the room with me and confirmed that the AC wasn’t working correctly. She assigned a different room right away. Because we had switched rooms, the attached restaurant where we were to have the “hotel” breakfast got signals crossed and had instructions to provide only one breakfast, so again a staff member walked to the breakfast venue with me to straighten it out. On both occasions, the staff members were friendly, helpful, and professional.

Great location. Walking distance to old town, transit is steps away for anywhere else you want to go. Shopping center, grocery store and restaurants just a short walk away. Nice area, despite construction going on at the moment adjacent. Nice hotel, lots of modern features. Rooms seems to be soundproofed quite well, never heard anything from the hall or neighboring rooms. I wish the shower was a little more enclosed, but not a big deal. Having kitchen with fridges on site was great, had no issue leaving stuff in the fridges. Kitchen was kept clean, saw staff often (even in the wee hours of the morning) cleaning up.

Stayed here for a few nights as a solo traveller and it was great! Check in process was easy and was able to walk into the city center easily. Was close to the Port of Tallinn which is great if you’re looking to take the ferry to Helsinki.

Probably one of my favourite accommodations. Check out can be extended for free until 13:00. Sleek, modern and clean. 10 min walk from everything. Check out Røst and La Boulangerie nearby for breakfast. Bolt takes you here from the airport for €10. Would stay here again.

* Good location * Check in with auto machine take a lot of time. Counter check in was the small corner room. * Hotel was new and modern look but the room's WC. draining need maintenance. * Breakfast was a la carte + 1 glass of juice and 1 coffee.(IT very delicious dish). But if you want to refill your coffee, you have to pay for it.
