Wildlife Retreat at Taronga

Cool place to stay in Taronga Zoo. You don't see as much animals as you would hope for in many rooms. Good breakfast.

Staying at Taronga Zoo was a whole experience. The ferry from Circular Quay, being met at the entry to the lobby with spectacular views to the CBD including Opera House and Harbour Bridge, to the beautifully appointed comfortable rooms with a koala cocooned in the tree outside the window, to the drinks on the deck, the personalised small group zoo entry tour, the best risotto I have ever eaten at the spectacular restaurant, a delicious buffet breakfast with a novel churro treat and 24 hour access to the zoo. I am an Aussie from WA and would recommend this for both locals and international tourist. It was fabulous!!

Whilst the room is not that large, it is well equipped, super clean and modern and lovely to have wildlife right out your window.
