Super séjour de 3 nuits à Porto à l’hôtel Jaguar. Accueil très sympa avec un personnel attentif et aux petits soins, sans être intrusifs. Chambre super bien équipée avec un grand lit et une belle salle de bains. Le petit déjeuner est extra, avec un grand choix pour tous les goûts. J’ai pu tester le restaurant au diner : menu savoureux avec un rapport qualité prix incroyable. Merci à tout le personnel, à Marcos pour le free city tour en Tesla X (excusez du peu !!) et surtout un grand merci à Marta qui est là pour nous aider, répondre à tous nos besoins et organiser nos déplacements. Bref, une excellente adresse à découvrir. Nul doute que je choisirai cet hôtel lors de mon prochain voyage à Porto. J’oubliais : free shuttle depuis et vers l’aéroport en Tesla X, le luxe !

"The Jag" as we called it was our favorite of the 6 hotels we stayed at during our travels around Portugal. The staff was very friendly: they provided a free ride down into Porto on our first night, as well as a "welcome glass" of local Port wine. In addition, there were complimentary items in our room. The bathroom and decor were very nice, with fluffy robes and other amenities we didn't find anywhere else during our stay. They have a parking lot directly across the street from the hotel where we kept our rental car. Many restaurants were within walking distance and the location was convenient, although not "downtown" Porto. The price made it worth the stay even though we were not centrally located. Would stay at The Jag again if I return to Porto. One note: apparently the hotel has a problem with guests stealing items and they list the charges you will incur if you steal anything from the room, so don't do that!

This hotel is simply perfect! Looks very new, well maintained and clean. All of the staff members are extremely nice and helpful. Upon arrival you get a glass of Port as a welcome drink, and fruits, chocolates & water waits for you in your room. It is also great with regards to transportation - it has free parking, free shuttles to the airport/bus terminal and it is close to a metro station so you can easily get to the old town. Bottom line - look no further!

There were a few things in our bathroom that weren’t cleaned well…for example, there was toothpaste residue on the bottom of the glass in the bathroom. The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly. The option of on site parking was appreciated. We were able to walk to the historical centre quite easily. Interesting and lovely decor. Had a great sleep in the room. Quiet, cool and dark.

Good size room and bathroom with comfy bed. Spotlessly clean, great selection of toiletries. Towels smelt fresh and dressing gown was much appreciated as were the welcome snacks. Friendly and helpful staff. My flight was too early to use the free shuttle but it was great they offered that service. Quite far out of town but was fine for me as I was just using it for the night before an early flight

Very nice hotel with excellent staff. Very clean and good air conditioning. Convenient off centre location with Metro, supermarket and restaurant/cafes nearby. Breakfast mostly nice although ‘hot food’ was relatively cool. Also, the one evening meal we had at hotel restaurant was mediocre. Would definitely stay here again though.

Room was great, very modern and clean. The shower was an excellent size as well. The hotel location was a bit far from the actual city centre but a 5 minute walk to the subway which was a short commute to the city centre. The staff were very friendly and the shuttle was an excellent added bonus.

The Hotel Jaguar staff are the icing on the cake. All of the front desk, bar, dining, shuttle and housekeeping staff were friendly, kind and very helpful to make our first visit to Porto special. Overall, very good. My only concern is that there was a small but very bright light coming from near the door of the room. It is not a ceiling light, it appeared to be part of the light switch controls to the left as you enter the room (Room 407). I could not see how to turn it off, and I had to move all the way to the left side of the bed so the light was less bothersome as I was sleeping. Is this light absolutely necessary? Does it have to be that bright?

From the moment we stepped up to the Reservation Desk, we knew this was going to be THEE BEST hotel we were going to have stayed be at of the 15+ places we'd been at during our month-long Portugal/Spain vacation. The super friendly staff, the entire hotel's cleanliness, the generous welcome gift (which included a glass of wine and port), and the spacious and totally relaxing suite were only a few of the reasons we loved the place and will most definitely book at the next time we're in Porto! And did I say the the staff were all top-notch? 10/10!!

Hotel Jaguar was a great place to stay during our 2-night visit to Porto. On the outskirts of the main tourist area, it offers excellent value. The room was very clean and comfortable (although on the smaller side for North American "standards" - just to keep in mind), the staff and service were excellent, and the transfer service to the airport and city center are a great plus. If you're looking to save a few $ and stay a bit further out of the city center (although easily walkable and also public transportation nearby), I would absolutely recommend! The welcome drink and plate of fruit + snack are also a nice additional touch :)

5mins walk to the metro, which is 3 stops into the city. The area is clearly not the fanciest compared to parts of the center however it felt safe walking alone at night. A good variety of places to eat close by if you dont want to travel

Hotel is located out of the center of the town which we liked. They had a free shuttle to the center of town when available. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Greeted us at the door, checked us in and then walked us to our room. The only think I can complain about is the WiFi was spotty; we were on the 4th floor and depending on where you stood in the room determined if you got a signal.

The hotel itself was great—clean, comfortable, and with really comfy beds. The staff were friendly enough, and the location was convenient, with easy access to the metro, buses, and free parking. The one major downside was the restaurant. The bright lighting gave it more of a canteen feel rather than a proper restaurant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The mashed potatoes were chewy and tasteless, the beef cheeks were tough, and even the Francesinha, a signature Portuguese dish, was dry despite the sauce. Of course, that’s just our opinion, but we wouldn’t recommend dining there. Overall, the hotel was a solid choice for a stay in Porto—just better to eat elsewhere.

Staff were excellent in every way. They were helpful and always courteous. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We also had dinner there one night and it was very good. I would stay here again. It’s about 25 minutes to the center but it was a pleasant walk.
