Sudamala Resort, Komodo, Labuan Bajo

The staff are super friendly, loved our daughter and as always in Indonesia were the icing on the cake. Our room did not have blackout curtains which is the only feedback I had for the hotel.

We stayed twice at the Sudamala. Each time we had a different room. First was with a private pool. Great room. Second in a ocean view villa - also a great room. Both were well done, great bathrooms, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. The pool area is very nice. Staff was friendly. My one issue was that the front desk did not have any money to make change. I thought this was a bit odd. Overall this is a great place to stay and relax. A bit out of town so need a taxi to get around, but we found it easy to arrange. Would definitely recommend.

The breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. There was a mix of Indonesian and western food with fresh juices, fresh croissants and pastries, a selection of bread, egg station, option to have iced or hot coffee etc. We had the villa with private pool and it was incredible. Very clean with a beautiful semi outdoor bathroom and lovely pool with jets. The staff were very attentive and even provided us with a drink and cold flannels on arrival and assisted with luggage. A true luxury stay.

We had the most incredible time staying at Sudamala Komodo, and neither of us have stayed anywhere quite like it. The care, compassion and attentiveness of everyone was wonderful. It felt personal, friendly and you were made to feel at home. We loved our room, spending days by the pool and the beach and the bedtime story that is delivered each evening. We would be absolutely back again.
