Sitio dos Cavaleiros Apartments

This is a beautiful, well-maintained property in a unique historical area. The staff provided exceptional customer service, in particular Margarida and Laura, and made us feel more than welcome. It is located in an interesting historical area, in the neighbourhood just below the Castelo de São Jorge, site of one of the most ancient fortifications in Portugal, and on the edge of the fascinating and colourful Alfama district. There are ample local shops and fabulous restaurants just steps away; in particular we highly recommend Gazzo across the street and Pizzaria Local e Kebab for take-away. The apartment itself was spotless, cool, and comfortable: a perfect haven from the heat and long walks around the district. We were fortunate to enjoy the start of the Festas de Santo Antonio on the streets of Alfama just outside the apartment, a massive evening festival of song, food, and grilled sardines that seems to attract everyone in the vicinity. Though it was a bit loud on Saturday night, it was also a unique and inviting experience and we enjoyed it immensely. Parking in the area is next to impossible, but Margarida and Laura were extremely communicative and helpful with check-in, check-out, luggage, and local information, and taxis and Ubers are plentiful and inexpensive, so we were able to simply return our rental and enjoy the city on foot. Our family of 4 had a wonderful time and we can’t recommend this property enough.

Newly renovated apartment with all facilities. Crammed entrance and reception, but so are all streets and buildings in the neighbourhood. Charming tram line 12 literally runs just outside the balcony. Location is perfect for sightseeing and has plenty of small restaurants just up the road. Bear in mind that street are narrow and parking impossible. Drop off by taxi or Uber is fine thou. Only negative experience was the check out time at 10:00. Most other hotels in Portugal allowed check out by 11 or 12 by default. We refused to pay 45 EUR extra for one hour after spending in excess of 1300 EUR there. Apparently management doesn’t see it as an insult🙄

Unterkunft sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Lage zentral und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten fußläufig zu erreichen. Auch die Metrostation Martim Moniz und die Haltestelle der Straßenbahn E28 sind ganz in der Nähe. Ein Auto braucht man dort nicht, selbst das Entladen der Koffer war schwierig, weil die Straße vor der Unterkunft nur einspurig ist und die Straßenbahn dort fährt.

It's a lovely property. Everything was new and clean and nicely decorated. Parking is definitely a challenge. Plan well ahead if you are planning to arrive by car.

This was the best accommodations we could have hoped for. Clean, spacious, modern, well equipped and the location is amazing. Staff were very helpful and responsive. We’d stay here again.

The area around the hotel is very unsafe and not suitable for families, as it’s located in a high-crime neighborhood. The room smelled strongly of paint or chemicals, which made it very uncomfortable to stay in. The washing machine and coffee pot were both out of order, and the staff did a poor job cleaning the room in the morning. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We are so pleased with our stay. The apartment was incredibly clean and very quiet considering the location. Excellent windows that keep street noise to a minimum while letting in lots of light and great views of a historical part of Lisbon. Our children made use of the baby bath tub, high chair and pack and play. We enjoyed the kitchen and the breakfast very much. It came with all the amenities needed to make easy meals. There’s a grocery store less than 10 minutes away by foot and numerous little produce vendors steps from the apartment. We were not at all worried about the location. While it may be home to many immigrants and unhoused individuals near the main square, we never felt in danger. The area is flooded with tourists.

숙소 청결도, 스태프의 서비스는 최고였습니다. 숙소 근처에 인도분들이 많아 걱정했지만 여행내내 안전했습니다. 다시 리스본에 온다면 이 숙소에 숙박하고 싶습니다.

A great stay! Great and helpful staff and they cleaned every day. My only comment is to replace dirty towels--used ones on the floor were hung up again on the racks.

The apartment was lovely, bed was super comfy, hot water arrived very quickly to the shower taps. The kitchen was well kitted out for cooking one’s own meals. There was even a small washer/dryer! The windows all opened but it was too windy to leave them open. Also, street noise was rather loud up until about 10:30-11:00 at night. The staff were lovely!

The one bedroom apartment we stayed in was thoughtfully renovated and modern, with all the amenities one could ask for. Both the main bed and sofa bed were extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We hope to be able to visit again.

Beautiful modern apartment with great funky chic decor, on a nice street close to everything in downtown Lisbon. We had a lovey stay in this wonderful apartment.

Wow, it was an amazing apartment, modern and spacious with helpful and friendly staff. Tucked away in the old part of town, was so nice to have the washer and dryer and small stores right next door. Even though it is a set of apartments, most of the time there wasnan employee at the entrance. She was great and gave us tips of where to go. There were June street festivals with sardines and other great food and drink. They warned us when we made the reservation, but the noise was only in one bedroomnin back and the fun of thenfestival was worth it. Family loved this place

Do you want to take a chance??? Stay away and save your time/headaches. We stayed at this property from 12/25/23 to 12/29/23 (Total costs: $1509.99). Two days after we checked out (on January 01, 2024), the property manager sent us a what's app message and accused us of 'misplaced or broke by accident one of our vases'. I replied that we did not break or take any vases. On January 08, 2024, the property manager sent us a 'payment request' via email for 61.37 euros... Again, we sent back an email and stated that "we ABSOLUTELY had no knowledge of this vase or any accident regarding this vase. We did NOT break or take any vase"... Well, regardless, they went ahead and charged my AMEX card for 61.37 euros on 01/15/2024. Stay away from this place. By the way, I did contact Expedia and Expedia is only a 3rd party and advised us to work with AMEX... We wasted a lot of time and effort for something that we absolutely did not do or know anything about.

The apt is newly renovated and the linens, shower and products were great. The area is up and coming yet close enough to walk. There is a fantastic Indian/Portugués restaurant a few doors up the hill. Our biggest dissatisfaction is the lack of flexibility. The 3pm check-in is very firm & you could not even drop off your luggage…we also had to negotiate an extra cost for a 1 hour grace period when leaving. The rules and service format is very very rigid.

They were superb in their communication with us … very professional and also caring, always wanting to make sure our stay was comfortable and we had all we needed. A very nice apartment with a reception below attended during certain hours. Locating the property and check-in was rather easy with frequent communication and clear instructions from the staff. The people are so friendly and helpful. It is well worth the price for such a great apartment in a location so close to everything historic.

Very conveniently located … straddles baixa and amalfa areas — 10-15 min walk to each … uphill for amalfa viewpoints and the castle. Metro stop Martin Moniz, starting point of tram 28 are down the street. Grocery store right across .. souvenir shops in the same street as opposed to expensive ones in touristy areas.. We walked to amalfa, San apolonia station for our train to Porto, baixa, castle and the church.. all within 15mins The street does give some vibes of being unsafe but u soon realize the adjoining street has a lot of immigrants so they are just settling into the city and hanging around the square The interiors are updated , - 1 room with a queen bed / the other with 2 beds — all kitchen appliances and an in-room washer plus dryer . Though we had to use a drying rack for our thick winter joggers and hoodies. Very gracious staff and the Christmas presents from them was a definite plus ..

We really enjoyed the apartment. It was very modern and the staff were very friendly and accomodating us with anything that we needed. The only negative was that the surrounding area is not the safest. We were told by others to watch out for pickpocketers.

Property and staff was very good. Location was in a sketchy area that was noisy and seemed to have a lot of illegal activity going on.

Amazing accommodations, would highly recommend and stay again. Lots available in the area, close to metro and train.

Laura and the other ladies was super kind, hopefully, they give you advice to where to go about food specially portugués food, the apartment was always clean nothing to complain about it, and the location was good you can walk anywhere, really good!.

The apartment is great. Fully equipped kitchen. Nice beds and toilets. Full support from staff. Short walking distance from all in the center. Grocery supermarket nearby. Up the cobble road, very Lisbon.

I’ve never stayed in such a clean, practical and convenient apartment. Roomy bathrooms, tons of storage, easy to reach kitchen appliances and garbage bins, and very friendly and helpful staff. The neighborhood must scared you at first, but it is safe. And it’s in a very convenient part of town. Don’t miss Kossie’s Café, my favorit spot in Portugal!
