OYO Hotel Downtown Peoria I-74

Don’t waste your time or money. This place is disgusting. And so run down it’s shocking the building is standing.

It was a functional room at a cheap price. There were a few imperfections in the shower tile, but I wasn’t paying for the top-end hotels. I had a minor problem with the door lock but it was handled quickly. I recommend for travelers on a budget.

This very nasty, dirty smoke saturated place. All pictures as fake. I went to room and back to my car to find alternative accommodations. My expectations were low but this place is worse than I could have imagined. I felt dirty and disgusting by merely entering the room. The mold in the bathroom, the stain on the sheets and towel are just the beginning. I returned the key and told the front desk person I could not stay there and offered to show him the room to see if he would stay there. He refused and said I would get my refund. They still kept my money for two days even though I never stayed there. If I am able to save someone from booking this horrible mistake as I did, then the cost was worth it.

This is the worst “hotel” we have ever booked. The property was NOT a hotel at all. Maximum could call as Motel! There was No front desk, in stead, it just has a little closed, steer protected space to let people check in. Before our family moved in, I saw a guy angrily came out that little space with complain that he couldn’t check in due to time passed even he paid full. The “hotel” person only told him “this was fully video and monitored by police”?! With the worry, when we stepped into the two rooms we booked, they both full of heavy smoking smell, very dirty sheets and bed, very old and rusted air conditioners!! We even found bugs on wall and bed. When taking to property person, he insisted sheets and bed changed, no other free room to move. Even mentioning we did NOT book non-smoke room, that we were not aware of smoking and non-smoking situation from site description! He even admitted no matter how they enforced non smoking in rooms, but guests did NOT follow rules! But how this property could put so many faking pictures that were totally different from the real situation onsite??? how they got 4.6 ratings in Expedia , but in google search we found only rate lowest rated property??? Finally we ended up stay in car whole night as the room was completely NOT acceptable!!! We did complain to Expedia regarding this cheating and faking description and rate! We wish to get response soon from Expedia.Next time better check google information!
