Hyatt Place Evansville

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking was convenient. There' were a number of seating areas inside and out.

Everything was great, except for the bed and the pool. Our bed was clean, but had massive dips and very uncomfortable. The pool was disgusting. My kids wanted to swim, so we let them, I should've just said no. That pool is a biohazard. You can't even see the bottom it's so cloudy and the water was green. There's a layer of film on the top and there was no movement to the water so either the filters or jets aren't working properly. Had the kids shower the second we got back to the room.

Clean up to date property, outstanding staff, premium breakfast, good selection of light meals balence of day/evening. Free onsight parking, good lighting in parking lot and safe. Exterior well cared for includes outdoor sitting areas.

We stayed for two nights at this location and I will say that staff is excellent and the building itself is well maintained outside and very clean inside (waiting area, bar, restaurant, kitchen and gym). The property is extremely quiet and is in a small, quiet, older town. Seems a little run down but is quiet and safe. The breakfast included is wonderful; so many options and delicious. The kitchen area is clean and tidy, as staff cleans as people come and go, and restock food and drinks consistently before anything fully runs out. The pool is one of the reasons I didn’t give 5 stars. The pool and the pool area look clean upon entry, but upon further “inspection” I feel the pool water could be more clean. Also, as my kids swam, they found clumps of hair multiple times. You can’t see it if you look at the water though, it just happened to get stuck to their hands as they swam. They put the hair clumps on the floor, near the edge of the pool, to get it off their hands and when we went back the next day, all the hair was still on the floor and the water that got splashed on the windows was dry and left streaks and was very unappealing. Lastly, the main reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of our room. It could have been cleaned more thoughtfully. I found crumbs in the pullout couch bed, one of the blankets on the bed had a couple of stains and the comforters are dingy and old looking, and the carpet had so many stains, so many.

Breakfast was great. We loved the location! We were very frustrated that we spent extra money to stay at the hotel for the pool; yet the pool was “closed for maintenance” during the entire weekend stay.

Fantastic place with great staff. Pool was not the cleanest but probably due to the two baseball teams of kids(10 year olds) staying there also. Maybe if their parents would have been around them they wouldn’t have been eating in the pool.

Great location and value. Free parking and good continental breakfast. Well kept and clean. Nice bar too.

We stayed due to a concert at the Ford Center. The walk was safe and easy. The hotel had a great breakfast and coffee and tea available throughout your stay. The work factory looked nice as well as the pool. They had multiple outdoor seating areas. They staff we kind and professional. They had a limited menu but the turkey pesto sandwich was really good along with the chocolate chip cookies. They had a nice selection of sandwiches and snacks available 24 hours and both the turkey and ham sandwiches were tasty for an easy after concert snack. The hotel was modern and the room was great, somehow we ended up with a differ t room the.ln selected on the app but it worked out just fine.

Great proximity to Deaconess Hospital and everything was great - clean/new condition, cozy beds, big rooms, nice free breakfast, great water pressure, good gym, a pool, friendly staff and clean/non-toxic toiletries too! There was some road noise from hot-rodders as it's on a busy street, but my noise machine mostly hid it.

The pool water was cold for an indoor pool. We specifically stayed here because of the pool. We brought our two young granddaughters to swim! The evening shift front desk person was not friendly about my inquiring about the pool temperature. The next morning, the front desk staff was very pleasant and said someone else had complained and she had sent maintenance to check it. It was a touch warmer but not warm enough to really enjoy the time.

It is a nice place to stay overall. This is the first time I’ve experienced a lack of housekeeping at this hotel. It’s usually perfect. This time there were cleanliness issues. Some of the issues the average person may not notice, such as pink mold in the shower grout. The sink wasn’t clean, missing trash can liner, and dust on the lamps, bed wasn’t made neatly. As a person in the hospitality industry I felt at the price point of this hotel, those issues should be minimal to none. In this economy, spending a couple hundred dollars or more per night is a luxury expense for most people. I’m sure I will stay again as I believe this was just a bad room and not the norm for this hotel.

We were greeted warmly. Upon settling into the room we noticed one of the beds had dirty sheets on it. A call to the front desk and the gal they sent was quick, friendly and apologetic changing the sheets. The bar staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was good and there was a decent quantity and selection from hot foods to cold along with fruit and yogurts. In the hallways we noticed food and on the floors and trash cans over flowing. The sink in our bathroom drained extremely slowly. The hot water for tea was cold and there was no half and half. The Starbucks machine was out of order and the POS system at the front desk was not working for 4 days!! Everything had to be charged to the room which was inconvenient. There was loitering in the parking lot complete with drinking and smoking pot. It’s not likely that we’ll stay there again.

Nice historic area with dinning and shopping within walking distance. Room was not cleaned even at minimum standards. Shower and sink had hair in it, carpet didn’t look as if it was vacuumed, furniture had crumbs and chocolate (hope that’s what it was) on smeared on it, and walls looked like someone through coffee or juice on it.

This is our second time staying here. This hotel has to be one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. From the front desk to the room, comfy beds, awesome bathroom with beautiful large walk in shower, you couldn’t ask for more, just beautiful, reasonably priced too!

We had a great stay. Very clean

The room key only worked a couple of times. They changed batteries, and the complete device but we still had to call down to the desk every time. The carpet was filthy, my barefeet was dirty walking on it. The shower had not been cleaned . There was long hair on the shower walls. We had stayed here previously when it was new and it was lovely. But its obvious the staff is not paying attention to details. They were all very nice however won't be staying here again because of the inconvenience of the room ley and the dirtiness

The hotel, itself, was VERY clean and the staff was inviting, friendly, and helpful. Beds were comfy, and the rooms were spacious and cozy. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared. Parking was free and there were plenty of spots. The lounge area outside with fire pits for warmth were clean and very cozy, as well. My only complaint was that the outside noise was awful and kept us up most of the night. Never heard a peep from the rooms next to us; however, the noise from outside the hotel was unbearable! There were police and ambulance sirens three times at midnight and 2am, people bumping loud music with bass at 11pm and 1am, then a couple of cars revving their engines in between the other noises. This hotel could really benefit from soundproof windows. I've stayed at hotels in/around airports and never heard this much noise. If that doesn't bother you, this is the hotel for you. I only stayed one night in Evansville but if there was a second night on my agenda, I would have checked out and stayed elsewhere.

We were placed on the ground floor in a handicap room, which we did not need. We were directly on the main road, which is about 10 feet from our window, so we listen to cars all night long. The hotel should have offered some sort of noise machine to help cancel out loud mufflers right outside our window. Needless to say it was a sleepless night, and we were not made aware of that before we checked into the room. We didn’t realize how noisy it was going to be until after we were in bed. The hot breakfast was marginal at best.

Easy access. Clean and quiet room. Large walk-in shower with good water pressure. Plenty of towels provided. Simple check-in.

I came for a grad school interview at the University of Evansville. I liked the downtown location of this hotel, it is very walkable to nearby sights and restaurants. Despite my room being near the elevator I found it to be very quiet, clean, and comfortable. I was able to prepare for my interview without any distractions. The shower had great water pressure. The property was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was very good, much more food than I expected! Parking was easy with a safe outdoor lot. I was also able to check in a few hours early with no hassle, and the woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. This location felt very safe for me, as a woman traveling alone. I ultimately was accepted into the grad program so I will stay here again when I return to Evansville!

Everything was great until our door lock stopped working.

Other than the fact our fridge didn’t keep temperature, this location and hotel was great. Fridge wasn’t a big issue as we only stored waters in there.

The only few things we wish they could improve on is the mattress and the pillows. The mattress is like sleeping on a rock. pillows are too flat. We just LOVE everything else!!!! Oh and we wish we had microwave in our room.

No one ever at front desk, requested when I booked months earlier connecting rooms/same floor due to elderly parents-not even close- couldn’t check in even an hour early, that was a first at a hotel for me, check in was at 3:00 NO rooms ready..went to an event at Ford Center @ 3 came back about 5:15- rooms finally ready close to 7pm, check in day had terrible front desk people when they would actually be at the desk. This was all housekeepings fault and because they were sold out per the front desk- they are couple blocks from event center, surely this is not their first time..minimum 15 people behind us waiting for rooms, obviously several in front of us. I did not bother to go to their breakfast, my parents did, they said not that great. Breakfast hours 6 to 9, I think 10 would be better and thank goodness there are 1500 characters to be able to give a real review of this hotel The positives, close to The Ford Center and Check out is at 12, other than that I recommend this hotel as a last resort if nothing else is available! I don’t really do reviews because most places I have stayed have been just fine, but the way they handled things was a huge disappointment and maybe my parents will review on the cleanliness of their room!! UGH

This was my first ever stay at a Hyatt Place property and if they're all like this, I'll never stay anywhere else again. The front desk staff at check-in was very courteous and gave some great dining recommendations. Breakfast was amazing and I was impressed with how clean they kept the service area. Five stars across the board - you should stay here!

Great layout. Great breakfast. Front desk worker who checked me in was actively vaping at the front desk and seemed disinterested but other than that stellar crew.

Nice Hyatt Place for a quick stay in Evansville. My husband and I were in the area to go to an event at the Ford Center. We arrived after the 4:00 check in time and joined many other travelers waiting on rooms to become available. We waited over 40 minutes. The clerk at the desk was checking people in and working at the bar simultaneously. Bet he was glad when his shift was over.

Despite a major system issue that held up check in for many of us arriving late last night, we were treated well and front desk handled it so gracefully I told him he had the patience of a saint to keep it together in such a stressful situation! Lobby great and despite being so tired after a long drive we felt welcomed and were able to sit and relax while the system was rebooted so he could issue keys!

I enjoyed the layout of the front desk and the option for food service. I enjoying the continental breakfast. I was disappointed that I didn’t get my wake up Call that I requested.

Our stay was decent they did seem to be understaffed for a holiday weekend. The front desk young lady when we arrived was great even moved our room with no problem so we could be next to our group as we had traveled out of town. Housekeeping only went to our room once out of the 3 days we were there and did not replenish any of the items, we ran out of towels, bath tissue, bodywash and shampoo, we were a group of 6 my wife and I and our four children, so that was very inconvenient. The workers who who were in charge of breakfast a couple of women in particular were very unpleasant! All they were doing was complaining indiscreetly, ans one was very rude in her approach to ask us to move after breakfast as she was wiping tables. That wasn't even the worst part our group consisted of 3 familys that varies with the age of children. One of our group members has a 17 yr old daughter whom had a tantrum and went to the front desk and the man who was working that night gave her a room (yes her own room) no ID, no credit card, and no money. This was very inappropriate especially in the climate in which we live with sex and human trafficking being a serious reality and concern especially for young women of color. This was so aggregious that we had to make a police report and our members checked out at 3am as it was no longer a comfortable or safe environment. The GM was not helpful at all and dismissive to our concerns. No justification to give a minor a room. The intent remains unknown

Room was spacious. Hotel is very convenient to the ford center and victory theater. Breakfast was delicious. Will be staying here again. Only complaint is no jacuzzi lol would have been perfect!

Booked this room to be close to the Ford Center for a concert. Walkable to the venue and casino is also walkable. Stay was very comfortable. Will absolutely book again if ever in Evansville again. Highly recommend. !

Very nice place in downtown Evansville. The riverfront is just a couple blocks so it is east to enjoy that.

Overall, the property was nice. The breakfast area could have definitely used some attention, though. The floor was always sticky/dirty. The staff was sloppy when cleaning up and the food was not cooked well. The front desk staff was very helpful

Check-in was easy, room was clean and well appointed. Beds were comfortable, plenty of linens and good pillows. A little street noise (2nd floor and there were some late night motorcycles noise), but beyond that everything was perfect. Breakfast was great and constantly refilled. Staff were all pleasant and attentive.

Nice and clean. We also tried the restaurant and the food was really good even late night after an event.

No laundry service needed. Breakfast was cold and tasted bad I had to go back to the room it makes me sick to my stomach. Requested a fan last night never received it. The same lady that checked us in yesterday was the same person that checked me out. She didn't ask how was the stay or hope you enjoyed your stay nothing. Just not a friendly Clerk.
