I love this hotel, but the one thing I dislike is how unclean the pool is. There has continued to be large clumps of hair in the pool and you can tell it hasn't been cleaned in quite sometime. So discouraging when it is a perk to staying at this hotel.

For me it was the clealiness of the whole property. The oudoor grills and sitting area is awesome and the indoor pool. Very nice place.

This was our third stay. We were in town for a medical procedure and everything met our expectations with the exception on the pool. If I were to give any suggestions I would suggest the pool be heated.

Very nice hotel in a very quiet spot right off the major highway. The 1br suite was clean except for some hair here and there but nothing you couldn’t clear yourself. The pool area was a bit dirty from people leaving trash and spilled drinks everywhere. The parking lot had trash as well as I pulled in and watch a truck dunk trash out their car. So sad but this place is actually nice.

I have never been so frustrated with a hotel. We were given a handicapped room that smelled awful, when we would shower there was water that covered the whole bathroom floor because the drain system was so awful. Then we were told the only way to change rooms was to split up our twin 14 year old's in different rooms that were not even close to each other. They didn't have milk, syrup, and their breakfast was awful. The pool was so dark in color and smelled like a lake to the point where we couldn't swim in it safety. I am done with this hotel and will never return back.

The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious. We booked a suite and paid on the higher end of hotels in the area. We did so thinking we would have a good quality hotel. However, the hotel doesn’t appear to be kept up very well. The ceiling was peeling in our room. Massive areas with ceiling material hanging down. The cords for the TVs were dangling down the wall in a mess. Many of the channels didn’t come in well. The towels were stained both in the room and at the pool. The shower curtain was not long enough. It barely met the tub so water kept splashing out on the floor. It was also stained along the bottom suggesting it hadn’t been washed in quite some time. They kept running out of food at the breakfast. They literally ran completely out of milk, bacon and biscuits. I don’t mean for the day. They were out and needed to order more. Clearly they weren’t planning their stock accordingly. We were going to grill out one night but the grills were quite dirty. It didn’t look like they had been cleaned in a really long time if at all. Also, the pool was indoors and I expected it to have been heated. It wasn’t. The water was quite cold and the shower by the pool also didn’t have hot water hooked up to it. There was no way to warm up or even rinse off without freezing.

There was no way to warm up or even rinse off without freezing.

Very nice hotel will equipped great layout in the rooms. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The only ding here for us on this one night was there was a problem with the shower stall drainage that was not addressed during our stay. I did report it early that morning of our departure but no one ever came to check it so rather than flood the bathroom we were relegated to 2 minute showers and then had to wait 20 to 30 minutes for the basin to drain in order to head out. And they ran out of breakfast food a little early, but there were some other items to tie us over. The hotel is a great location close to campus we would use it again and recommend it. Nice touch with the half court basketball and indoor pool.

Our lights went out in the kitchen and the hall area. And we asked for our room to be cleaned and receptionist said it would be done and we also double checked before we left out the next morning but only came back to a room that was never cleaned and a few hand towels and bath towels. No washcloths at all so we just made it work. The property is nice and I will be back but I just didn’t like being told the room would be cleaned and it never happened.

We have stayed here a couple times and have never had an issue. However this time we did not have a very good experience. No one ever cleaned our room in our 3 night stay even after requested. There was trash piling up in the hallway and outside of the hotel. The lighting in our room was terrible and the shower didn’t drain well. Most likely the last time we will stay here . Much better options for the same price point .

The room had some issues with leaking faucet head from the kitchenette sink, the bathroom sink did not have a stopper, the HVAC vents needs cleaning, and pieces of the crown molding by the kitchenette needs repairing. Overall, the location was great with seclusion and privacy in a quiet location. The check-in agent could have been a little more inviting with the attitude.

Great room - more like an executive suite. Super amenities and cleanliness. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a wonderful park and walking trail behind the hotel, along the river. Front desk staff helped me find out how to locate the trail to get there.

This was a good stay for my extended stay during College move in and RUSH week. My biggest complaint is that I was there 12 days and only had my sheets changed twice. My floors were NEVER vacuumed or cleaned. I ALWAYS had to ask for towels and replenishment of coffee and such. Very nice employees, especially the front receptionists, all super nice. Had a water issue leaking on the living floor near the air handler…..maintenance brought a big fan and returned 4 days later to get it. I was in room 401 and the air did not reach the bedroom. I had to buy two small fans for the bedside tables. Breakfast was good but the absolute same everyday. If you wanted coffee after breakfast or before you were told it’s only made at 6 am. Kind of a bummer if you wanted to relax in the common area. Sarah did a great job handling the small bar and front desk at the same time. Would definitely stay again but hope that some of the mentioned areas improve.

My husband's comment says it all....."I want to take this room with us for the rest of our trip". VERY SPACIOUS room! So many places to set things and organize. Loved having a full refrigerator with a freezer to refreeze our ice packs. A very large TV. I did notice some things stuck to the handle of the refrigerator, but other than that, the room was very clean, towels thick and white. We are both gluten intolerant and appreciated the eggs, bacon, sausage patties, and turkey sausage for breakfast. They even had Udi's gluten free bagels... individually wrapped! The desk staff professional, yet friendly. The woman who attended the breakfast area kept it very clean and well stocked. There was a gas fire pit outside on the patio, and a small court to shoot hoops. A small bar inside from the patio entrance with some limited food choices. I would stay here every time I come to town!

This is a great clean new hotel with a large room and kitchenette. The problem I had was the noise, even with my fan I could hear people walking around on the upper floors in the middle of the night. Make sure you ask for a room on the top floor that might help.

Had to wait for toliet paper because none was in our hotel room. Service was not quick. Breakfast was disappointing. Very little to chose from...no eggs the whole 30 minutes, we were down to eat. Staff seemed to laid back and care free.

When my family and I first arrived, we were told that we could not check into our room for an hour. So we waited in the lobby. During our wait, two other families arrived and promptly checked in. I returned to the counter and explained that my family and I were told to wait. The clerk checked our status again and proceeded to check us in. Never was given a rational explanation on why we were told to wait. After that hiccup, the rest of the stay was great.

Thoroughly disappointed, traveling with two small children with reservations at the Residence Inn Tuscaloosa, we were not able to stay. With luggage in the lobby, we were told there is some wrong with the "availability" of the room. They wanted to split our family up into two rooms at the same rate. Unacceptable, will not be straying away from IHG options anymore, should\'ve booked a Hilton Hotel and avoided this harsh inconvenience.

This was the worse Marriott property I've ever stayed at!! There were barely any dishes (pots and pans) in my room and the ones that were there were rusted and dirty. I asked for a can opener and the front desk had the audacity to give me something that was rusted! My stay was over a week and you mean to tell me that no one in management could pull $5 together to go get a can opener? I would have NEVER given this to a guest. Some of the staff at the front desk were rude and not helpful. I wasn't able to get a late check out today and this was the very first time this has ever happened. The excuse given was bogus and considering my status, it would've been nice to get one. Maintenance (Brandon) and housekeeping (Ms. Mary) were very pleasant and was the ONLY reason I did not check out earlier! As a former Marriott employee, this stay was unacceptable and I hope they realize this and fix it because this is NOT how Marriott conducts business with their guests! I will NEVER stay here again!!!

Great room - more like an executive suite. Super amenities and cleanliness. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a wonderful park and walking trail behind the hotel, along the river. Front desk staff helped me find out how to locate the trail to get there.

Stay here almost every time in Tuscaloosa for work. Convenient location, nice rooms, love the kitchenette on longer trips, makes it easier to buy groceries instead of fast food.

The hotel was okay. The room had some issues with leaking faucet head from the kitchenette sink, the bathroom sink did not have a stopper, the HVAC vents needs cleaning, and pieces of the crown molding by the kitchenette needs repairing. Overall, the location was great with seclusion and privacy in a quiet location. The check-in agent could have been a little more inviting with the attitude.

Had to wait for toliet paper because none was in our hotel room. Service was not quick. Breakfast was disappointing. Very little to chose from...no eggs the whole 30 minutes, we were down to eat. Staff seemed to laid back and care free.

I have never been so frustrated with a hotel. We were given a handicapped room that smelled awful, when we would shower there was water that covered the whole bathroom floor because the drain system was so awful. Then we were told the only way to change rooms was to split up our twin 14 year old's in different rooms that were not even close to each other. They didn't have milk, syrup, and their breakfast was awful. The pool was so dark in color and smelled like a lake to the point where we couldn't swim in it safety. I am done with this hotel and will never return back.

The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious. We booked a suite and paid on the higher end of hotels in the area. We did so thinking we would have a good quality hotel. However, the hotel doesn’t appear to be kept up very well. The ceiling was peeling in our room. Massive areas with ceiling material hanging down. The cords for the TVs were dangling down the wall in a mess. Many of the channels didn’t come in well. The towels were stained both in the room and at the pool. The shower curtain was not long enough. It barely met the tub so water kept splashing out on the floor. It was also stained along the bottom suggesting it hadn’t been washed in quite some time. They kept running out of food at the breakfast. They literally ran completely out of milk, bacon and biscuits. I don’t mean for the day. They were out and needed to order more. Clearly they weren’t planning their stock accordingly. We were going to grill out one night but the grills were quite dirty. It didn’t look like they had been cleaned in a really long time if at all. Also, the pool was indoors and I expected it to have been heated. It wasn’t. The water was quite cold and the shower by the pool also didn’t have hot water hooked up to it. There was no way to warm up or even rinse off without freezing.

Very nice hotel will equipped great layout in the rooms. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The only ding here for us on this one night was there was a problem with the shower stall drainage that was not addressed during our stay. I did report it early that morning of our departure but no one ever came to check it so rather than flood the bathroom we were relegated to 2 minute showers and then had to wait 20 to 30 minutes for the basin to drain in order to head out. And they ran out of breakfast food a little early, but there were some other items to tie us over. The hotel is a great location close to campus we would use it again and recommend it. Nice touch with the half court basketball and indoor pool.

Our shower was clogged and they were unable to send somebody to fix it until the following day. They didn’t have any other open rooms to move us too, so we were unable to shower. The room was not clean. Hair in the bathroom on the floor, no extra toilet paper. Attention to detail was not there.

The room was not clean. Carpet wasn’t swept, sheets felt gritty. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. When I went down and asked for some tp they couldn’t find any?? It was an hour before they brought a roll to our room. Breakfast was cold. Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, everything. The place was very disappointing. Room 219. 8/4-8/5
